I shook Caleb awake.
Concern filled his eyes as he asked, âAnother bad dream?â
I pressed my lips together and paused.
The dream was all about Thorn Edge Packâs safety and Calebâs father.
I worried it might be a warning.
If I kept it to myself and it came true, itâd be too late to change anything.
Caleb would be hurt a lot if that happened.
But I wasnât sure if it was really a warning.
After thinking, I finally told him about my nightmare scenes.
âIt was a scary dream, different from before.
I saw the Thorn Edge Pack this time.
â
âThe Thorn Edge Pack?â Caleb looked surprised.
âYeah.
â
He asked quickly, âWhat happened in your dream with the Thorn Edge Pack?â
I tried hard to remember my dream and said, âI saw a fight in the Thorn Edge Pack, and your father was in danger too.
But it was all fuzzy, not as clear as when I dreamt about dueling Gale.
So, Iâm not sure if it means something bad.
â
Calebâs face darkened.
Without a second thought, he grabbed his phone and dialed his fatherâs number right away.
He called his father, but no one answered.
The busy tone sounded harsh.
Caleb grew more upset.
I felt worried too.
It wasnât a good sign.
Even though my nightmare about battling Gale hadnât happened yet, a lot of my dreams had turned out to be true.
Like Gale, who did end up being a witch.
And Iâd predicted the falling branch before.
âBeep!â
Caleb got frustrated after trying to call his father several times.
He clenched his fists, looking serious.
Seeing him upset, I quickly reassured him, âHoney, donât stress.
Maybe your dadâs just busy running some errands, thatâs why heâs not picking up.
Relax, thereâs no rush.
â
Despite my efforts to comfort Caleb, his expression remained troubled.
