Feng Liqin was shocked to hear the news, but as fast as it came, it disappeared to be replaced by complete joy. While being filled with excitement, he jumped onto Huang Longwei and nuzzled his face into Huang Longwei's neck with tears in his eyes. Feng Liqin never thought he would be able to carry a child of his own even though he knew that he could. He felt so fortunate to be able to be pregnant with the person that could make him the happiest he has ever been.
Huang Longwei's worry died down after seeing his wife's happiness filled the room. He smiled down at Feng Liqin and kept him tight in his arms. Sadly, there was still a problem coming their way if his wife was pregnant. These problems won't just come from the ministers and his enemies but also his family members, which isn't good news. Just thinking of what the future will hold has already given him a headache.
Feng Liqin noticed his husband's frustration. He touched his face and looked within the eyes that held a swirl of emotions. Frowning, he asked, "What's wrong, Longwei? Are you not feeling well?"
Gazing at his wife, he answered truthfully, "No, I'm well. I'm thrilled with the news of you pregnant with my child. It's just that the problems coming our way has got me distracted. Even though they aren't here yet, I'm already thinking of ways to overcome it because I know that there would be a storm coming." Feng Liqin sighs, he admired his husband very much for trying very hard to protect everyone dear to him. It made him feel useless for a moment, but his husband always thought differently.
"Longwei?" He called. Huang Longwei looked back at his husband. "You don't have to think much about it. Please, be happy for a moment with me." Feng Liqin then took his husband's hand and placed it on his stomach. "Enjoy this time of my pregnancy while it lasts, since this baby might be the only child of you and me." Feng Liqin smiled up at Huang Longwei that finally realised the meaning behind the word. Taking a breath, Huang Longwei pulled his wife closer and nestled his head at the crook of Feng Liqin's neck.
Smiling, Feng Liqin bit his bottom lip and pushed his Huang Longwei down to lay down and straddled him. "If it helps, maybe I could... umm, you know?" Feng Liqin tried saying with a blush covering his face and ears. Huang Longwei's eyes became dark with love, lust and amusement. He smirks mischievously.
"What do you mean, my love? Say it clearly so that I can understand." Feng Liqin turned redder and pouts. He then proceeds to turn away and out of bed. Noticing what his wife would do, he hurriedly pulled his wife back on top of him and chuckled. "I'm just teasing you, love. Don't be upset." Feng Liqin still didn't look back. With a smile, he continued while trailing his hands down his wife's body. "Now, let's continue where we were. I'm sure you're anticipating a long and tiring night." Chuckling once again, he trailed his hand inside Feng Liqin's inner garments and let it slide down Feng Liqin's soft, white skin.

In the Imperial General's house, Zhong Shen sat on the window sill, looking out at his courtyard. He felt empty and afflicted. His once cheery and whimsical nature was gone, only to be replaced with an overcast air around him. His servants and guards that looked towards him felt sad for him. They heard the news as it was announced the other day in front of them. The reaction from their master afterword made them terrified as they have never seen their cheerful master become like that on that day. Now, they can only pray that their master recovers from the mental shock he received.
Unanswered questions kept filling Zhong Shen's mind. It was hell for him since he knew the answer yet couldn't seem to be able to fill the blank space. He knew this would happen somehow, but not this soon, and not this cruelly. He wanted to cry, yet he had already cried enough. He wants to complain, but there was no one would hear him. He was once again left alone to mourn for his own mistakes.
'Where is your best friend when you need him? Huang Longwei, are you too busy to help your best friend now?' Zhong Shen asked himself. 'Oh, yeah. He betrayed me. Figures.'
Remembering back the news, he felt his world crumble. How can someone's world crumble? It's by having the one you love, the person that has said they love you forever, turn you down and marry someone else.
