THIRD PERSON POV
'AAAHHHH!!!!'
Screams could be heard as Feng Liqin woke up somewhere very unusual. As he looked at his surroundings, he found nothing but darkness. It was too quiet for his liking, and a dark, mysterious aura could be felt within the place he was in. Then, a scream was heard again.
Feng Liqin was frightened by the sound, especially when he couldn't see anything around him. Since his mighty husband wasn't here to scare all the nightmares away, he knew he had to be brave enough to conquer this fear of his. Therefore, he stood from where he sat and faced the darkness with a calmness that was both enlightening yet frightening. He then sang the song that would usually bring the trees and plants in the Forbidden Forest a feeling of peace and calm. As he sang, the screams grew louder and louder to a point where he couldn't hear his own voice anymore, but it soon came to a sudden halt. When he opened his closed eyes, he saw the still darkness disappear and light came through.
After being slightly blinded from the light, he was greeted by the beautiful scenery of a waterfall that flowed down at a small lake. The small lake held nothing but clear waters and rocks decorated by small plants and vines surrounding it. At the side of the lake, was a large tree with thick barks and flourishing leaves. Only a word could describe the large tree before Feng Liqin.
'Magnificient'
After the thought passes through his mind, a strikingly fierce woman with cat ears and a long tail emerged from behind the tree. She wore a black hanfu with green designs that looked more like warrior clothes than the normal woman like hanfu that he was used to seeing. As her black hair swayed in the wind, her intense green, cat-like eyes never stray from Feng Liqin's crystal blue orbs. (I don't remember Feng Liqin's eye colour. Sorry.)
'Wait, haven't I seen those eyes before?' Feng Liqin thought to himself. Then, it hit him. Feng Liqin gasped and cried out Xiaoli's name. The woman that stood by the tree gave a bored look at her master's density. She sometimes wondered how she managed to obtain this type of master when she was already nearly 4 thousand years old. Feng Liqin, ignoring his beasts look, hugged her tightly.
"Xiaoli, it's so nice to see you here." He said with slight tears in his eyes. Tilting his head to the side, he asked, "But, where are we exactly and how am I here? Also, did you always have a human form?"
Xiaoli's eyes twitched at her master's question. She inwardly asked herself again. How in God's name did she get a master as dense as Feng Liqin? Xiaoli took a breather. She calmed herself and tried to not hit her innocent master.
"Kitten, you are in the depths of your mind. You're here because you fainted due to stress which you also shouldn't have. And to answer your third question, I always had a human form. I just didn't use it because my human form did not fit into your world. So, I used my beast form. And to also answer your other questions rattling in your head, you were never here before because you were afraid of your shadows. Fear and doubt of oneself will only lead themself into darkness." Xiaoli explained.
"Ah, I see. Then, this place represents me?"
"Yes." Xiaoli nodded. She looked towards the large tree and continued speaking. "This tree is called the Mother Tree. It represents your power. The more powerful you become, the larger and more luscious the tree is. Unfortunately, it doesn't mean you get to use this much power. You must learn to control it bit by bit before being able to wield it within your entire system. Until then, it stays here. Deep inside you."
Once Xiaoli finished, Feng Liqin nodded in understanding and looked around the place within his conscience. He sat by the Mother Tree beside Xiaoli and sighs. It was beautiful, but he still wanted to go back to his husband and child. Eyes widening, he turned to Xiaoli.
"Xiaoli, how do I get out of here? I need to go back to Longwei and Little Shun." Feng Liqin asked with dread. He wanted to go see how his Little Shun was doing.
"Oh, I nearly forgot about that. Just close your eyes and imagine waking up in your room." Feng Liqin nodded and did as told.
The next time he woke up, he was in his room besides a sleeping Huang Longwei. Smiling, he turns to face his husband and traces that handsome face before him. Unfortunately, it was short-lived as his husband woke up and pulled Feng Liqin closer by the waist. Huang Longwei gazed into the eyes of his beautiful and innocent wife with worry. His wife had never frightened him like today, but he knew that his wife will continue doing the same thing soon.
"What's wrong, Longwei? Is everything alright?" Feng Liqin asked Huang Longwei that kept giving him a worried look.
"I'm worried about you, though I think the news that I would be telling you will just make you happy than worry." He answered, making Feng Liqin confused. He sighs, feeling unsure to tell his wife the news. If he didn't, then he would surely be punished by his wife.
"Feng Liqin, your pregnant."
