His words snapped her back into reality, and she nodded stiffly.

âEvan, could we hold it here? I want to marry you as soon as I can.â
âConduct the wedding here?â Evan asked, surprised.
âYes. If you really want to marry me, letâs do it here. A grand ceremony that will allow the whole world to know that youâre marrying me â that Iâm your wife. We can register after that when we get back.â
Evan stayed silent.
Iâve already agreed to the marriage; why the haste? Is she scared that Iâll go back on my word?
