570 Wedding Invitation!

Emily froze on her spot with her wide eyes. He wasn’t only harsh on her but also bringing her past actions which had brought shame to her, it made her ears turn red. Not only was she alarmed but those actions were enough to anger her. But she couldn’t direct her anger at anyone, which in return had turned into tears.

Sniffling, she rubbed her nose and ran out from the scene without muttering enough courage to face anyone who all had gathered around. Her heart was broken into pieces but she had no one to blame.

Meanwhile, Charles and Sierra were greeted with the broken glasses on the floor and the few last sentences of Javier. They weren’t superseded by his sudden outburst, even Sierra muttered, “I told her to not test the luck today. She is hell bent.”

“Why I’m not surprised by Javier breaking the glasses. I even wonder why he has not killed her by now.” Chalres couldn’t help but laugh. He wasn’t himself as outspoken as Javier but he didn’t mind Javier voicing the opinion which was also what he felt as always.

Emily was an outsider and was using a child. A child was born out of a mistake...a mistake someone committed and they were simply bearing consequences. Not that he denies the child being the culprit but his mother was surely a cunning woman.

When Charles passed the comment, Sierra gave him an obvious gaze. He chuckled before placing his hand on her back, “Call the butler before I calm this demon. We won’t like children seeing this mess, do we?” Sierra rolled her eyes and called Butler in the deep night who was totally unaware about the commotion in the rooms.

At the moment, Charles had pulled Javier outside on the terrace of Javier’s room where Ariana was sleeping inside. He offered his younger brother a glass of drink which he poured personally, “Here you go to relief your stress.”

Much to Javier’s amusement, Chalres didn’t bring up the topic of what happened earlier. “Are preparations done?”

“Almost done. Ellen is taking care of everything and we will be traveling in a week.” Javier totok a sip of his glass and told, “I have decided to bring Ariana with me. Grandfather and uncles will be happy to meet her after so long.”

“I bet. Even Amaira must be missing her niece to be with her.” Chalres brought the topic until his gaze never reduced from Javier. “Is there anything else than that work on this trip? Because I feel there is otherwise it is rare for you to make a visit to our maternal house until...”

“Business. I’m getting a good deal and need to meet a client. Why not bring Ariana and have a family visit as well.” Javier wasn’t in mood to deny since his brother could easily find things. He wasn’t only interested to meet family, but it could be considered a secondary thing. However, Charles then said, “I have received a visit for one of the family out there. There is a wedding of one of the business typhoon there. I hope you could attend it.”

A narrow glint appeared in Javier’s eyes when he asked, “Who is it?”

As far as his mind went, there were few families who were still above their maternal family. If Chalres has received a wedding invitation, there must be the something big behind the man since it was strange to send invites to people outside the country.

“Do you remember a family, whose mother was very found of? I heard that it was them. Someone from the brothers is getting married and they have sent an invitation out of courtesy. it is upon you to visit them or not.” Charles’ words remember him from the past but he took it as a passing time. “Strange that they are still sending us an invite after years.”

“Kind people.” Charles told and then took a sip this wine that tastes exactly like before, “You visit them, pass greetings and that’s it. It is basically for the mother and to keep the mother’s honor. Nothing less. We don’t want interact with them.”

“But a far as I heard, the brothers must be very old, weren’t they? Their daughter...um..whom mother adored was just a few years younger then me. So probably they are old. They are getting it for the very first time now?” He was surprised by the actions but Charles shrugged his shoulders, “Outside, this is a common practice. I heard they already have children but are getting married now due to some circumstances. but none of our concerns, isn’t it? We have kept the invite and main relations for face saving.”

Chalres ward made sense. Javier didn’t answer but to take in account that he should let Ellen learn about it so that he could execute the timings accordingly, “I will do what I can do.”

“Yes please.” But then, Chalres raised his head and found that he had finished his one. Till now, the cold breeze was hitting their faces but now that heals one, Chalres could see the calmness returning on Javier’s face. That was what he aimed for. Being the elder brought responsibilities and he was happy to do that for him.

Until then, Chalres was ready to take his exit and return to his room. But before that, he placed his hand on Javier’s shoulders and held them solid. Javier didn’t comment but he got firm and then he heard the words, “Don’t worry brother. You and Ariana have all of us with you so don’t worry about her either. She will be fine because you are doing a good job.”

“Just focus on being a good father and everything will fall in place, trust me it will. Learn to be happy in life, Javier for Jennifer only. Learn to live, my brother..”
