Hearing her question, Javier took a peak of his wifeâs face which was eagerly waiting for his reply. Indeed, he never thought about this in his mind.
âI donât mind anyone. Either a boy or girl, Iâm happy with both since all I want is for you to be healthy alongside our children.âJavierâs clear-cut speech put Jenifer in a dilemma but she never stopped questioning, âBu still, any preference?â
âI donât have any preference in gender. They will be our children and our children means symbols of love. Why be biased?â Javierâs speech did contain a lot of sincerity and this touched Jenniferâs heart.
She felt her eyes paneling in daze when she gazed at the top-notch best husband she got for herself. It was such a shame that they werenât able to announce their relationship more publicly either.
But that never affected her love for him. She knew she would cherish him throughout their life and a precious smile graced her lips. âYou are too sweet!â
âThen you should make sure your diabetic level doesnât rise because of me.â Javier answered while passing her a wink. In response to him, Jenifer blew a kiss in his direction and Javier acted as if he caught it with his hand and brought his hand near his cheeks.
His cheeky action brought a soft giggle from Jeniferâs mouth. Her face was filled with the wide grin that reached upto her eyes and made them turn into a crystal moon.

But Javierâs next words did make her somewhat fearful about the future.
âIt doesnât matter if the twins come out to be boys or girls. Both of them will have to go through intense training as I and my brother went. It will be harsh...but it is mandatory for survival in this cruel world.â Javierâs speech had turned a lot of seriousness in contrast to his previous huskiness.
As Jennifer watched the smile slowly turning into utmost seriousness, she couldnât help but gulp, âYet you are already destroying our enemies. Why do we have to make our children go through that?â
Hearing her response, Javier didnât say anything immediately. He was fully involved in preparing lunch for them and had kept the dish in the microwave.After setting the appropriate temperature for the microwave, he turned his face to look at how Jenifer was built with several doubts.
Knowing her tendency, Javier understood she never experienced such hardships in her life except the time she met him. Unfortunately, he couldnât describe his life so smoothly.
His background was a total mess. The name of enemies they possessed couldnât be counted. More they grow their business , either good on the face or the hidden one, one or the other will turn out to be jealous of them.
âI can only try to create a surrounding which will be peaceful but I canât control everything, Jennifer. No one can control what happens in this world. For unexpected days, our children need to go through precisely and learn to survive in various situations.â
As he didnât bulge from his words,it grew Jeniferâs worry. But at the same time,she was already aware about its importance so she never revolted against it.
Her heart ached at the thought of how rigorous training her twins will have to go through. But on reviewing how shaby business Javier and Charles carry out, it was best to be prepared for the worse!
âAlright.â Jenifer mumbled under her breath but on seeing her low shoulders, Javier came forward and kept his hand on her shoulders. He bent down on his knees to look at her face and lifted her chin with the tip of his finger, âI have some exciting news for you.â
Jennifder lifted her brows to face him and he did share something unexpected with her on this, âThere is a lady...â
âA lady?â Jenifer didnât quite catch up with the hint. But on the second note, before Javier got the time to explain to her, Jenniferâs eyes bulged as she covered her mouth, âDonât let me...behind my back, you actually..â
âJennifer, absolutely not!â Jackâs expressions turned ugly on hearing her intentions.
How can she easily set him in such a situation? Didnâ she trust him enough that he is entirely faithful to her ever since he saw her for the first time in their university campus.
As Javier shut her mouth, Jennifer voluntarily closed her lips. She brought her fingers to keep them on her lips, âI wonât say! These hormones...You tell me, who is the lady?
For a minute, Javier only observed her expressions and where he did find the a suit that she wasnât doubting him anymore, he finally said, âthere is a woman in Charlesâs life. His past lover and they have a child together.â
âActually two children. One is adopted from Sierraâs past marriage. The child isnât of Sierra and her husband but that of her ex-husband and his wife. Sierra raised her since she was a child so now she is under Charles care.â
Jennifer curiously heard whatever he told her and this equipped her interest. She wasnât sure if it was because of the mixture of events or the gossip.
âSierra, such a nice name! She is our sister in law?â Jenifer asked vividly with enthusiasm entering into her bones.
Javier instantly gave a shake, âNot yet. But soon...I prefer. I will bring you to play with the children because I believe...â his eyes traced across her abdomen, â...We will get to experience how to handle children before two bundles of joy pops out from this place and start snatching my wife from me!â
