Maria asked a hairdresser to come over and trim my hair. An hour later, my hairstyle had changed from waist-length hair to shoulder-length hair. My new hairstyle was nice, but there were bruises all over my body where I was beaten. I was in a bad mood and didn’t want to go to school.

I casually grabbed a book and climbed into bed. I took off my pants and laid in the most comfortable position.

“Irina.” Ravi opened the door and saw me lying on the bed while reading.

“Yes?” I held my chin in both hands and looked up at him.

“Let’s go.” He walked in and lifted my blanket.

At that moment, I was only wearing a T-shirt and underwear. The moment I lifted the blanket, he was stunned. Then, he covered me with the blanket.

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll know when we get there.”

I climbed off the bed and picked up my jeans to put them on. Ravi had been watching intently from the sidelines.

“You love watching women get dressed.”

“I like to watch you getting dressed. Of course you look good even without your clothes on.”

“You too.” I gave him a smile as my eyes darted to where his abs were.

About forty minutes later, our car finally arrived at the airport. The driver got out and opened the door for us. Ravi led me into the departure lounge.

He took my hand and led me down a pathway. At the other end of the pathway, there was a small private plane.

“Where are we going?”

“Florida.”

“Why?”

“I want to take you on a vacation.”

After we took our seats, which were facing each other, the pilot closed the cabin door. The plane skidded on the runway for ten minutes or so before it suddenly flew. I felt my back pressed tightly against the back of the seat. The loud rumble was deafening. Ravi looked out the window calmly while I watched him.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Ravi felt my gaze on him.

“These are my eyes.” I rolled my eyes and looked at him.

He smiled slightly and then his expressionless face returned. “It’s a long journey. You can sleep.”

“Ravi?”

“Yes?”

“I want to discuss my mother’s matter with you.”

“Speak.”

“I don’t want my mother to go back to living with my father and Raul.” I looked at Ravi. He was looking at me seriously too. “I mean, I’m not saying that I want her to live with us. I just don’t want her to go back to that cage.”

“I understand. Don’t worry.” Ravi got up and sat in the seat beside me. He rested my head on his shoulder.

I placed my chin on his shoulder and widened my eyes to look at the side of his face carefully. The contours of his side profile were beautiful. His eyelashes were long and curled. He had a high nose bridge and the outline of his lips was very sexy. It made me want to bite him.

“Why do you keep looking at my lips?” Ravi glanced down at me.

“You have a sexy mouth,” I whispered into his ear.

He turned his head and kissed me on the mouth. “Is this what you want?” Then he kissed me again. “Is this it?” We both smiled and touched each other’s lips before closing our eyes. He kissed me very seriously, and I could sense that he enjoyed the kiss. He licked my lips tentatively with the tip of his tongue. I opened my eyes slightly and saw that Ravi’s eyes were still closed. He was enjoying the pleasure my kiss brought him. I opened my mouth slightly and bit his lower lip lightly. He opened his eyes and looked at me with love in his eyes.

“I know you like it. You can kiss me anytime you want.” Ravi rested his forehead against mine and ran a hand through my hair while holding my head.

I fell asleep beside him in the seat. When I woke up, I could already see the deep blue sea of Florida.

As soon as we landed, I felt the heat of Florida. The afternoon sun was burning down on Miami. The driver dropped us off at the hotel while the concierge helped us transport our bags.

I passed by the hotel’s courtyard and looked up to see a huge pool above me. The entire ceiling of the courtyard was covered by this pool, and below it, one could see the people swimming in the pool. Their shadows, along with the shadows of the water, were reflected on the ground on the first floor of the hotel. It looked very fun.

“Let’s go swim there.” I looked at the empty pool.
