Chapter 95 The Significance of the Bracelet.
Millyâs face was filled with resistance. She protested, âBut I thinkâ¦
âI donât care what you think: I only care about what I think.â
Milly was at a loss for words.
Robin couldnât take it anymore. He pulled his artist, w

He tripleâchecked with Oliver, asking, âOliver, be honest with me. Are you falling for Milly? Iâm telling you, youâre rising to stardom right now, with a lot of female fans. You canât ruin your career, you⦠hmmâ¦.
Before he could finish, Oliverâs face turned pale. He quickly covered Robinâs mouth and scolded, âShhh! You want me to lose my head now? Sheâs the sect leader! No, wait, I mean Ms. Milly!
âAnyway, rest assured, I have nothing but pure admiration and loyalty for Ms. Milly. Thereâs nothing else! Got it? Nod if you understand.â
Robin was nearly suffocating, and Oliver covered his mouth. He quickly nodded.
Oliver finally let go of him.
Robin gasped for air. He felt like he was coming back to life.
Thirty seconds later, Oliver sidled up to Milly again, watching her read the script out of sheer boredom.
Though his gaze was free of hostility and curiosity, anyone would find it hard to concentrate with someone staring at them.
Milly sighed and looked up to meet his eyes. She asked helplessly, âMr. Oliver, arenât you going to read the script? Weâre filming soon.â
Blinked, Oliver crossed his legs and said calmly. âWhy would I need to read the script? My acting is superb; I donât need a script.â
Milly hadnât seen him act before, but his calm demeanour made her somewhat believe him.
After all, for one to remain at the top, it couldnât just be about looks. His acting must be excellent too.
âIs your acting amazing?â
Oliver nodded immediately and said confidently, âOf course! My acting is extraordinary and unmatched. Do you know about the Aureate Film Award in Maldonia?â
Milly was stunned. In her previous life, even as a top actress, she hadnât won the Aureate Film Award. Had Oliver already won it?
âYouâve won an Aureate Film Award?â
Oliver remained unfazed and responded, âNo, but I received a nomination. Being nominated is already impressive, right?â

Milly pursed her lips. Indeed, being nominated for an Aureate Film Award was quite an achievement.
Her opinion of Oliver improved significantly. She realised she had underestimated him; he was genuinely talented, much more than what met the eye.
Robin couldnât listen to this anymore and silently walked away.
Nominated for an Aureate Film Award?
Yeah, right!
Nominated my foot! Someone simply thanked Oliver and other actors for their cooperation in their award acceptance speech. This guy shamelessly claimed that as a nomination.
With his actingâ¦
If he received a nomination, it would be a divine blessingâin fact, it was almost a miracle.
After Robin left, Oliver glanced around. When he made sure it was just him and Milly, Oliver cleared his throat and asked quietly, âMs. Milly, may I ask you a question?â
Milly nodded. âSure.â
âUm, that bracelet on your wristâitâs not yours, is it?â
The bracelet had identified its owner. It was previously on a woman with glasses, but now it was on Millyâs wrist. It was quite mysterious.
Milly hadnât expected him to notice her bracelet. Sheâd been wearing long sleeves to conceal it and avoid misunderstandings.
She admitted, âNo, itâs not mine. Someone gave it to me.â
âGave it to you?â Oliver stood up in agitation.
Did that bracelet recognise its master so casually now? Could it recognise anyone just because its been given away?
Milly frowned and asked, âWhy do you seem agitated?â
Oliver quickly waved his hands and denied it, âNot agitated, not at all. Hmm, do you know the significance
of that bracelet?â
âSignificance?â
âIn other words, do you know what status you hold by wearing it?â
Milly understood his implication and narrowed her eyes. She asked, âSo, you know, donât you?â
Oliver slapped his thigh and said, âOf course I know!â
If he didnât know this, he might as well dig graves at the burial site.
Milly realised something instantly when Oliver gave her a nod.
Andrew rave her the bracelet describing it as a keencake from hic late wife Roses Hammond It was likely

The Tates were a prominent family, and the rest of the privileged families revolved around them. It was normal for others to recognise the bracelet.
âIs it many who know the signficance of this bracelet?â Milly asked.
Oliver thought for a moment. He quietly counted all the members of the sect, and there seemed to be quite a lot of them. He acknowledged, âYeah, quite a number.â
Milly understood.
She then asked, âHow many people know this bracelet is with me?â
Oliver shook his head and said, âJust me.â
Milly breathed a sigh of relief. It was nice that only one person knew. She asked, âDonât tell anyone else about it. No one at all, understand?â
She planned to return the bracelet. Milly didnât like George and didnât want to marry him. There was no need to keep the bracelet or let more people know about it.
Oliver felt troubled. Even Robin couldnât know. But if he didnât tell them, how would she manage the Ghost Sect?
âReally? I couldnât tell anyone? But theyâre quite trustworthy.â
Milly didnât hesitate and told him firmly, âNo, no one
Once she returned the bracelet, she would have nothing to do with the Tates. The fewer people who knew, the better.
Since she was firm on her stand, Oliver could only agree. âOkay.â
He didnât understand why this needed to remain a secret. The Ghost Sect members would have to know eventually.
Wait, could it beâ¦.
His eyes suddenly lit up and he asked, âI get it, Ms. Milly. Youâre on a mission, right?â
It must be a secret mission to protect the Ghost Sect, so she had to hide her identity and bide her time!
Milly frowned. A mission?
Is he talking about removing the bracelet?
âWell, you could say that.â
Oliver clapped his hands excitedly and said, âI knew it! No one hides their identity without a mission. Ms. Milly, Iâll keep your secret. If you need help, Iâm here. Knowing this means weâre in it together. When the mission is complete, you have to put in a good word for me.â
