Tears were flowing down from Deepti's eyes. Ranveer felt bad for breaking her heart but he knows what he is doing is right and that's what his heart wants.
" Ranve-" Deepti voice cut when a loud noise echoes in the house.
Suddenly everyone's attention went upstairs hearing something falling and breaking.
"Naina," Ranveer breath out in panic before running upstairs in fear.
Damini and Mahendra went after him. Rajveer nodded at Urmila who was blinking her eyes and he also ran upstairs.
"This Naina destroys my daughter's dream and life," Sumitra mutters with hatred and tearful eyes.
"Naina!!" Deepti cried loudly and fell on the floor. Sumitra ran to her and took her in her arms.
"Ma, I want my Ranveer! I want him. He is mine, only mine," she cried looking at her mother with a desperation and possessiveness in her voice.
As Ranveer entered inside Naina's room he saw her standing in the middle of the room with a piece of mirror in her hand.
Blood was dripping from her hand as she was tightly holding the piece which cut her skin.
"Naina! Leave that please," he softly said while from inside he was terrified for her.
She looked at him and her lips curved a little in a weak smile.
"Everything is over, Dost,"
He instantly shakes his head with his watery eyes.
"Don't say like this, Naina. Everything will be alright, I promise. I will make everything alright,"
She chuckled lightly which pierced his heart.
"You can't Ranveer. You can't," she cried, gripping the glass more tightly.
"I will. For you I will do anything, Jaan. Please calm down, " her chin trembles, she shakes her head slowly.
"Nothing is left. I don't want to live anymore, Ranveer. You Naina is completely scattered, completely. Don't miss me," she said calmly, staring into his teary eyes.
"Why are you crying, Ranveer? Don't cry for me. Please be happy," he reached near while distracting her with their talk.
"We will be happy.. together, Naina," he said seriously and in a swift movement he pulled her into his arms and cage her.
She looks at him in shock then her eyes turn angrily. She struggled in his arms.
"Leave me Ranveer. You can't do this. Please let me die and get rid of this pain, I am begging you," she said while crying and wiggling in his arms.
He tried to take the glass piece from hand but she is not leaving because of which her hand is bleeding badly. In the process he also cut his hand but he didn't leave the glass from his hand.
"Naina leave it," he said but she didn't listen to him.
"NAINA!!" he shouted out, making her flinch and her loose the hold of the glass piece.
He looked at her in anger and threw the piece away in the corner of the room.
"Calm down, Naina," his voice turned low and soft. She started falling down while sobbing badly.
"What should I do, Ranveer? Dying is better than living like thisâ¦in shame. Society will never accept this child. I can't kill the baby, the guilt will kill me. But living will be worse than death for this child. You tell me what should I do, huh? People and this society will torture and kill me one day. You don't know how cruel this world is," she said between her sobbing and hiccups while hugging him.
"I know, Naina. And I vow to protect you and this baby from everyone. It's my promise to you," he said cupping her face and looking into her puffy eyes.
"You can't protect me forever. Except my friend you are no one to me. People will give names to our relationship. You are just a friend that too is a boy best friend, " she told him.
"Then marry me," he asked her, making her look at him in shock.
"No one will talk about anything. I will protect you and keep you safe," he told her gently.
She shakes her head, giving him unbelievable. She pulled away from him.
"Why do you want to destroy your life by marrying a damaged woman like me? Don't be stupid. And did you forget about Deepti, huh?" she asked, sniffing lightly as look at him.
"I broke the engagement. I wanted to live a happy and peaceful life and for that I have to marry you, Naina. And you are not damaged, you are still my precious, innocent and strong Naina," he said, giving her a small smile and gently holding her hands.
Naina was looking at him in daze.
She also wants him. Is she wrong if her selfish heart is craving for his safe embrace? She wanted to cry her heart out in his arms and let all the pain she was feeling while hugging his warm body.
Is she desperate if she only wants his presence in his life to live?
Is she shameless if she also wants him forever till eternity.
"I want this baby to live, still you will marry me," she asked him.
No matter how much she loath the person who rape her and destroy her life and dignity but she don't have heart to kill the innocent soul she is growing in her belly. That innocent baby has no fault if she was raped. He is not responsible for her suffering and situation. He never will. It is just his unfortunate fate that he would come into this world like this and she would be his mother.
"That baby is mine from now on. He is Ranveer Singh Rajvansh's child," he said in a loud and clear tone, from the bottom of his soul.
Hearing the determination and boldness in his voice, Naina cried with tears flowing like a waterfall from her puffy red eyes.
"Will you protect me and my baby?" she innocently asked him.
He cup her face and brush her tears from her cheeks
"I will always protect you and our child. Even if I have to die or kill someone,"Â she hugged him tightly sobbing in his chest while he rubbed the back of her head, letting her cry her heart out.
"Naina complete your juice," Damini told her sternly.
Naina looked at her but seeing her stern look she quickly finished her juice. Everyone smiles at this.
3 weeks ago, Naina and Ranveer got married both legally and traditionally. That is, the next day they had a talk.
Everyone was happy and content with Ranveer's decision. They accept Naina and the baby, with open arms.
Everything is going well in Rajvansh family. She was pampered by everyone and kept her busy in one thing or another. Her health is not good as she was under too much stress. But everyone was trying their best to keep her happy and stressed.
Naina looks at everyone on the table with satisfaction and content.
Dipti and her family left after Ranveer declared his decision to marry Naina the next. Urmila was feeling bad for her sister who loves Ranveer with everything. But she was also sad about Naina's condition. She and Rajveer will get engaged the same day because Damini wants her to be her second daughter in law. And said the marriage will happen after the baby will come. After that no one talked about Deepti and her mother in the house.
"Are you comfortable?" Ranveer asked Naina who nodded her head at him and looked at the sky. He also sat beside her but his eyes were fixed on her face.
She is looking a little better and her face is rediationing under moonlight. He looked ahead after letting out a soft sigh. They stay in silence for 15 minutes. Ranveer snaps his head in her direction when shockingly she holds his hand. A small smile appeared on his face when she looked at him then again turned to her face.
That's how they are living, talking with gestures and eyes. She is still not completely normal but in these 2 weeks of their marriage, she was calm and tried to involve herself with the family. She is putting effort to move on, for her baby and the people are supporting her till now.
"Mrs. Rajvansh, how are you doing?" the doctor politely asked, looking at her, who was sitting quietly beside Ranveer.
"Good," She answered in one word, feeling anxiety bubbling inside her.
"Shall we go for your ultrasound?" she asked, placing her report file aside and stood up.
Naina also stood up and was about to go with when she looked at Ranveer who was still sitting in his place.
"Are you not coming, Mr. Rajvansh?" the doctor asked, making him shake his head.
"She won't be comfortable, doctor. I am waiting here," he said.
The doctor nodded and took Naina inside the ultrasound room.
Naina was lying on the examination table looking at the ceiling light blankly. She changed into a hospital dress. The doctor comes inside after wearing gloves ready to start the process.
As she touched her shirt, Naina flinched badly and started shivering.
"It's okay, dear. It's me. Relaxâ¦calm down, okay," The doctor softly said and started to lift up the shirt but seeing her turning breathless she stopped in the middle.
"Naina, you have to relax yourself. You are safe, dear," Tears formed in Naina's eyes as look at the doctor helplessly.
"Please, call Ranveer inside. I want him here with me," she murmured in her broken voice.
The doctor smiled and nodded at her then asked the nurse to call Ranveer inside.
After a minute, a worried Ranveer entered the room in a hurry.
"Is everything alright, Doctor?" he asked, seeing Naina's glossy eyes. He quickly went near her and hesitantly placed his hand on her hair.
"Mrs. Rajvansh wants you here with her," she said, making him surprised and calm.
He looks at her face to see her already looking at him.
"Are you ready, Naina?" They look away from each other. Naina slightly nodded at the doctor.
Ranveer suddenly feels nervous and excited to see their baby. He looks at Naina and smiles softly at her. Suddenly she closes her eyes tightly and trembles, making him caress her head. He looked at the doctor to see her putting some gel on her tummy. He swiftly moved his eye from there not wanting to make Naina uncomfortable.
"Relax your body, dear,"Â the doctor said. Naina opened her teary eyes and tried to relax herself.
"Seeâ¦here is your little angel, dear," Ranveer looked up at the screen in front of them to see their baby's. He felt his eyes burning and soon tears formed in his eyes. His heart skipped a beat, feeling an emotional connection with this tiny soul.
"Naina, look at our baby. He is so tiny. But he is looking a little weird-" he stopped as Naina let out a choking sob.
"Don't cry, Yaar. I won't call him weird okay. He is the cutest baby," he said looking sorry thinking she felt bad as he called the baby weird.
"I will give you guys privacy," saying the doctor went out.
"Naina pleaseâ¦stop crying now. It is not good for your health," he softly said and wiped her tears with his thumb.
"How will I pay for everything you are doing for me and my baby," she said crying looking at him weakly.
"Why are you thinking like this? It's my responsibility and right as a husband and father to take care of my wife and baby. And what is this my baby, huh?! It's our baby, get this thing in your forgetful mind. I will love and pamper our baby so much that he will love me more than you. He will be more of my baby and yours," she smiles with tears and holds his hand between her palms.
"M-..our baby will be so blessed to have you in their life. I am so thankful for that, Ranveer," she softly said.
He smiled and patted her hair lovingly.
"I am blessed to have you and this baby in my life. Thank you for accepting me as your life partner and father of our baby," he sincerely said.
Naina is staring at the ultrasound image of her baby. She felt her heart at peace looking at the tiny bean-like structure which is her angel. Unknowingly her lips curve into a smile as she caresses the image lovingly.
"My angel.." she whispered and kissed the image softly before hugging it to her heart.
A tear slid from her eye in happiness making her close her eyes.
Naina looks at Mahendra with wide eyes seeing him sneaking a dry fruit Ladoo from a jar that Damini placed for her on the counter. Damini made her lots of healthy snacks when Naina entered into her third month.
Mahendra looks at her and places his forefinger on his lips asking her to stay silent as Damini is arranging fruits and veggies in the refrigerator.
Naina blinked her innocent eyes then nodded her head.
"Ma, see Dad is eating Bhabhi's Ladoo," Rajveer yells from the living as he can see them from there.
Naina looks at Mahendra who is glaring at Rajveer making him gulp in fear. Her lips curve slightly.
"This old manâ¦Mahendra Ji!!" Damini murmured, coming to where they are sitting. She glares at her husband as she stands in front of him with her hand on her hip.
"What?!" He innocently said.
"I made these for Naina, not for you. She is pregnant not you," they heard chuckling to see Rajveer covered his mouth and shook his head.
"I didn't do anything, Damini. What are you saying," he faked his innocence, making Naina surprised at his acting.
Damini narrows her eyes at him, making him gulp.
"You can ask Naina, she was sitting here, " Naina gasps and looks at her Damini is looking at her with raised eyebrows.
She shakes her head giving a nervous smile.
"He..e didn't do anything, Ma?" she stuttered as she lied.
Mahendra sighed in relief and looked at Damini with an ' I told you' look.
Damini looked at him before she turned but then her eyes fell on a round tissue paper. She was about to take it but he took it before her and give her a sheepish look.
"What is that? Give it to me," she asked, forwarding her hand.
"Nothing just used paper. You go do your work. I will throw it," he said nervously.
But she snatched it from his hand and opened the paper to see a Ladoo.
Naina bites her lips in shock and fear.
"This is for Naina," he quickly said.
Naina snapped her head toward him.
"What?! No!!" she said, shaking her head.
"You are so shameless, Mahendra Ji. At least leave, poor Naina," she scolded him.
"So what? You didn't gave your husband food so he has to sneak things to fill his stomach," Damini looked at him in disbelief.
"I didn't give you food?!" she exclaimed at her husband's audacity.
"That disgusting soup and boring boiled vegetable does not come in food, okay?" she glared at him, making him look away from her.
"Okay then You won't get them from tomorrow. From tomorrow make your food okay because I didn't give you food and now I won't give you," she said in an extra sweet voice and gave him an angry tight lips smile as she walked into the kitchen.
"What!? No darling, I was just kidding, my love," he went after her to coax her after making her angry.
Naina let out a chuckle , seeing them bickering and fighting like kids. Ranveer who has just entered inside the house, seeing her laughing for the first time after that incident, becomes shocked.
He looks at her glowing face with her eyes shining as she chuckles looking at his parents. A big smile automatically formed on his lips.
How much he was craving for her one smile and now seeing her giggling his heart beat fastened.
How could he not fall for her?
Yes, he loves her.
Naina suddenly woke up from a nightmare. Her whole body is covered in sweat while she is trembling like a leaf sitting on the bed.
She felt a hand crawling from her shoulder to her palm making her cry.
"Noâ¦please," she begged, sliding away from that dirty touch.
"Shhhâ¦you will love it, babydoll," a creepy voice said near her ears.
"Nooo!!" she sob, closing her eyes tightly.
"What is it, darlingâ¦is it a baby bump?" the voice said as that creepy hand cupped her small baby bump.
"Ranveerr!!" she shouted crying badly as she was crawling back in fear.
"You look so delicious. I wanted to taste you," she sob more loudly, hating that voice and his disgusting words.
Ranveer, who was working in the study room came running and heard her shouting his name. He was shocked to see her crying while cupping her baby bump protectively.
He ran to her and heard her sobbing badly.
"Naina, love," he softly called, making her snap her head to look at him.
"What happened, Jaan?" she cried looking at his worried face.
"H..e is h..here, Ranveer. He t..ouched me. He is here to d..estroy me. Please save me," she went close to him and hold his shirt tightly in her fist.
His heart breaks into a million pieces seeing her scared.
"No one is here, Naina. One will touch you. I am here with you, okay," he consoled her, taking her shivering body in his arms.
"No, he touched my baby. His dirty hands holding me hereâ¦I feel disgust," she said, showing her wrist to him.
He gently holds her wrists and lightly caresses his thumbs on her wrist.
"He won't. He diedâ¦he is not in this world," He told her, making her eyes widen.
Her lips parted slightly in shock as she looked at him.
"He won't touch me now?" she innocently said, making him nod at her.
"Never," she placed her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. Her heart felt happy hearing this. Now she can live in peace. He won't scare her now.
Thinking that she slept peacefully in his arms. He smiles at her and lightly kisses her hair.
After that Naina's behavior changes a lot. She seems peaceful and content. She talks, smiles and laughs with everyone. She became comfortable with Ranveer but not like before as she is still hesitant in sharing a few things with him.
Ranveer looks up from his file to see her looking at him for a long time but as he looks at her she looks away.
He sigh and said,
"What is it, Naina?"
She looked at him with a fake frowning face.
"What? Nothing⦠" he looked into her, making her nervous. She looked at her hand on her lap.
"You know right, you can tell me anything," he softly said, making her feel guilty but she didn't want to trouble her.
"I umm.." she stuttered badly. She looks at his assuring smile and sighs defeatedly.
"I am craving for Aam papad and we don't have it in our house," she sheepishly said.
He chuckled looking at her eyes which glowed as she said Aam Papad.
"That's it? No problem, I get it," he stood up, closing his file. As he takes his car key Naina stops him.
"But your work. I can wait," she told him as she is feeling bad now.
"But I can't. Here, my little baby must be hungry for that. To spoil him, I had to start working from now on, right?" he lightly said, making her lips curve a little.
He loves the baby too much, maybe more than me. Naina thought feeling blessed and happy to have him as her bestie, her husband and the father of her baby.
He lightly kissed her head and walked out.
Naina looks at his car going out of the iron gate and smiles brightly. She places her hand on her 6 month baby bump and softly caresses it.
"Baby, always keep your father above everything. He gives you too much. Never make your father upset," she said to herself.
"Thank you for loving a woman like me, Ranveer. You have give me new life, a loving family and better future to my baby. I love you till my last breath," she said with tears in her eyes.
Sweat beads glistened on her forehead as she was trying her best to stay in that position. She bites her lower lips.
"Okay stand up," she stood straight and huff feeling tired. She holds her huge baby bump.
"You are doing so good," Ranveer praised her as he was doing yoga with her. She gave him a weak yet happy smile.
"Okay that's it for today," he said, making her relax as she let out a deep sigh.
He held her hand and helped her walk to their room. As they entered the house, Damini welcomed them with a big smile on her face and a glass of orange juice for Naina.
Naina makes a crying face earning playful glare from Damini. While Ranveer and Mahendra enjoy their little moment.
Naina pouts at her and takes the glass from her. She gulps down the juice slowly and looks at Damini with her puppy but Damini royally ignores her.
Ranveer sat beside and took a cup of tea from the tray placed on the table.
"Ahh!!" suddenly Naina cries in pain and places her palm on her baby bump. Everyone looked at her in panic.
"Naina, What-"
"Ouch!!" she screamed, biting her lower lips.
"Maâ¦baby," she said with a painful face.
Ranveer looked so scared and about to be taken to hospital when he saw a teary smile on Naina's face.
She looked at him and took his hand to her baby bump as she placed his big palm on the side of the baby bump. He felt a movement under his palm and looked at Naina with wide eyes and open mouth. Damini and Mahendra look at them with frowns seeing their shocked faces.
"Is the baby kicking?" Ranveer asked as his voice turned heavy with emotion. And tears appeared in happiness when she nodded her head sniffing lightly.
"Mera Baccha, it's your Daddy," he softly said gently and lovingly caressed the baby bump.
Naina cries silently at the unconditional love he has for their baby.
They chuckle with tears when they again feel a kick. Damini's eyes tear up in happiness. She silently prays for her children's happiness.
Naina look at her and said,
"Ma, look baby is kicking," she told her excitedly, making Damini kiss her forehead lovingly.
Naina placed her hand where they felt the baby's tiny feet. Damini gasps and chuckles, feeling the magical movement.
"My grandbaby kicks quite hard," Damini said to which Naina smiled.
"Dad, you also come. Let me introduce baby to his handsome grandpa,"
"Hey baby, your Dadu is waiting for you," He said and laughed, feeling his little kicks under palm.
"We love you baby," Everyone said together, making Naina giggle.
The whole Rajvansh Villa seems to be lit up with her sunshine smile and her melodious giggles.
"Ranveer, â¦it's paining too much," Naina said with gritting teeth as felt pain in her lower tummy.
"Just two minutes, Naina. Let me take your hospital bag," he said as he was running around the room to collect the things they needed in the hospital.
"AGHHhh!!!!" she groans in pain and tightly closes her eyes.
"Rajveer took this bag and kept it in my car, okay," He told his brother who was standing near the door scared. He nodded and ran down with her bag.
"Did you call, Ma?" she asked between her contractions.
"Yeah, ..they will meet us in the hospital. We should leave now,"
He helped her to his car. After buckling the seat belt around her, he took the driver seat and sped off outside the Villa.
The whole way she was crying and groaning in pain, making him scared. He keeps glancing at her to make sure she is okay. And also reminded her to take deep breaths in between.
After reaching the hospital, her cry turned into screams. Her whole body turned sweaty and face became deep red as she was crying and shouting her lungs out. Seeing her in so much pain, he felt terrified and helpless. All he could do is hold her hand to assure her he is with her.
"Naina meri bacchi, don't worry you will be fine. Just stay strong, Meri Jaan," Damini comforts her as they meet her in front of the delivery room. Naina cries and tightly holds her hand with her other hand.
"It's so painful, Ma. I will die with this pain," she cried loudly, making everyone's heart clench in fear.
"Stop up, Naina. You and baby will be fine,"
The nurses took her inside the room where everything was already prepared for her delivery. Ranveer was with her inside the room.
Soon the doctor came inside and nodded at everyone. Ranveer stood up to go outside but she gripped his hand more tightly and shook her head telling him not to go.
Ranveer looks at her while himself silently crying seeing her in pain.
"You can stay, Mr. Rajvansh," the doctor told him.
He sat beside her bed. She let out a heartbreaking cry and clenched her jaw tightly.
"Nainaâ¦" he whispered, not knowing what he should do to lessen her suffering.
She looks at him with a tired smile while patting for air.
"I love you, Ranveer,," she whispered in her weak voice. He became stiff and looked at her in shock.
"I love yAAHHH!!" She screams, clenching the bed sheet tightly.
He snapped from his shock and softly stroke her hair to calm her down.
"Are you ready to push, Naina?" the doctor said, making her close her eyes for a second before she gave her a nod tiredly while Ranveer gulped in nervousness.
"Congratulations, It's a boy," the doctor announced, smiling behind her mask.
"NAINAA!!" At the same time Ranveer screams in panic seeing Naina lifeless body.
