Sabrina blinked as if she didn’t understand what was going on.

Isabella looked at her coldly and observed her expression before saying again, “Your father is dead now. He died because of you, and your mother cried so hard that she fainted in the hospital. Sabrina looked as if she didn’t believe Isabella’s words. “Nonsense! That’s impossible!” She shouted hysterically.

“He wouldn’t have gone looking for you if you hadn’t texted him at 3 a.m. saying you were eloping with someone. He was hit by a car and died tragically!” Isabella yelled.

Sabrina struggled to accept this fact. She sat on the floor, sobbing bitterly and mumbling, “No, I didn’t. | didn’t text my dad, and |

Isabella was stunned by her words and asked, “You didn’t send him the message, did you? Ifit hadn’t been you...”

Isabella turned to face the man who had left the crowd and was preparing to flee. She took a step forward and kicked his suitcase away. She reached out again, grabbing him by the hair and dragging him back.

Hearing his provoking words, Isabella became enraged and stomped on the man. She was about to hit him again when James stopped her from behind. “Isabella, please relax. You don’t have to hit him again. It won’t help.”

Isabella gradually calmed down. “Come with me to the hospital,” she yanked Sabrina up from the floor.

The man smiled coldly as the three were about to leave the waiting room. He quickly followed them, drew a fruit knife behind Isabella, and stabbed her in the back.

Isabella suddenly felt a chill running down her spine, followed by pain and dizziness caused by pain. She could hear a violent collision behind her. She tried hard to turn her head back, but she couldn’t. She then collapsed to the ground.

Hours later, Isabella opened her eyes and found herself in a hospital bed at Sun Town Hospital. Someone then opened the door to the hospital room. She turned to look and saw James sadly walking in.

James had been restless and guilty when Isabella was in a coma. Furthermore, what Jasper said terrified him.

Then James helped Isabella in sitting up and gave her a glass of water.

He couldn’t help but ask, “Do you know the man who asked you for directions the other day?”

Isabella’s gaze was drawn to the gauze that wrapped around Jasper’s hand. The doctor at this small hospital didn’t seem to know how to bandage and instead wrapped Jasper’s hand in a thick bandage. His cold expression and his hand formed a comical contrast.

Isabella recalled a memory from her past. When she was thirteen, Jasper found her a taekwondo instructor. She injured herself every time she trained, and Jasper bandaged her wounds. As a result, Isabella studied taekwondo for five years and hurt herself sometimes.

Back when she was stabbed by the man and fell to the ground, Isabella thought about Jasper’s face.
