Anna walked into Nancyâs office with the lunch box that Joshua gave her. By the time Anna entered Nancyâs office, Nancy was still staring at her phone.
âWhat are you doing, Nancy?â Anna suddenly asked.
âOh my God! You scared the hell out of me!â Nancy exclaimed as she shuddered and looked up at Anna.
Anna then placed her lunchbox on the table and said, âJoshua asked me to bring the lunchbox he prepared for you. Now that my job is done, Iâm leaving. Bye.â
Nancy froze and said, âWait for a second, Anna. You are either busy or ill every time they send meals. How come | eat all of these food for you?â
Anna said, âI canât eat these because they were intended for you. Remember, youâre the one Joshua likes.â
Nancy was at a loss for what to say. âBut youâre the one who keeps seeing him,â she said after a moment.
Anna looked thoughtfully at Nancyâs phone. âAm I?â she explained, âbut it was you who had been chatting with him.â Nancyâs face flushed, and she asked nervously, âWhat? | didnât talk to him! | never said anything to him!â âYes, you did! Hah! | finally donât have to pretend to be you anymore,â Anna whispered.
âWhat are you talking about?â
âNothing. Iâm going to leave now, bye.â Anna realized that Nancy had 419 Youâre the One He Cares ab. already changed her mind about Joshua. She didnât know how he managed to talk to Nancy online, but she didnât ask him about it.
She knew Joshua would tell Nancy the truth after lunch, and everything would be clear by then. She no longer had to act anything in front of Nancy. As a result, she exhaled a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, in the garage, Noel sat in the car, listening to a rock song Then he noticed Wayne walking toward him. Terrified, he immediately turned off the radio.
Wayne stormed into the car and slammed the door hard.
Noel noticed Wayne holding the box and asked, âMr. Wright, why are you returning so soon? Is she not in the hospital? |
checked, and sheâs definitely at the hospital today.â
Wayne stared out the window as if he hadnât heard him. He thought, Anna, whoâs the man you were smiling at just now? Whatâs so special about him? Why did you smile at him like that? Gosh! How | wish | could get over you, but Ijust canât. | CANâT!
âLetâs go back to the office,â he said after pulling his mind back to the present.
When Mary waved at her, Anna had just bought herself a meal and was ready to find a seat to sit down and eatit. Mary said, âAnna, why donât you join us for lunch? | just learned a gossip about Nancy,â Mary said after Anna had sat down.
Anna cut her off with a gesture and said, âThe last time you gossiped about her in the cafeteria, she found out about it, Mary. She also warned you in a meeting. Have you already forgotten that? Itâs only been half a month. Also, Nancyâs father is the vice president of our hospital, and her mother is the head nurse. Arenât you afraid youâll get yourself fired by 419 Youâre the One He Cares ab. gossiping about Nancy like that?â
Mary smiled, âNo, Iâm not. | know that Nancy isnât a petty person. | wasnât sure the last time, so | just said it out of curiosity. This time, | saw her with a man with my own eyes.â
âSo?â
âShe was with a guy! A guy!â
Anna said, her face expressionless, âWhatâs the big deal about it?â
Mary expressed her frustration by saying, âAnna, youâre the most boring person in the hospital! Donât you think working here is so boring that you could use some juicy gossip?â
Unlike them, Anna didnât work in a hospital as soon as she graduated. Asa result, she saw things differently than they did.
However, she had a pleasant personality, was easy to get along with, and was not a drama queen. So, Mary was willing to gossip with her.
Mary said, âThis is a pretty big deal, anyway. Iâve never seen her talk to any guy other than the patients. | just noticed a cute guy walk into her office!â
âWas he dressed in a black suit, tall, and had brown hair?â Anna asked.
âDid you see him? Were you surprised as well?â
âThatâs her boyfriend,â Anna said calmly.
Maryâs eyes widened in surprise as she couldnât believe she had been informed of such a piece of breaking news. She stood up in astonishment and exclaimed, âWhat? She has a boyfriend? How did I not know about this?â
â| guess everyone knows that now,â Anna said awkwardly, looking around 419 Youâre the One He Cares ab.
Mary kept asking Anna about Joshua after dinner. She was interested in everything, including his age, occupation, and name.
Anna realized she couldnât answer these questions, so she simply said, âIâm not sure about that either. You can ask someone else about this.â
At that point, Nancy called Anna. Anna then took a step back and answered the phone, âNancy.â
She then heard Nancy yell, âHow dare you lie to me about Joshua!â
Nancy then began to yell at Anna. Anna thought it was amazing that her words were harsh but not offensive.
âListen to me, | was forced to do this,â Anna explained later.
âReally? Who made you do such a dull thing?â
Anna couldnât help but retort, âRemember, you forced me to go on that blind date for you. | think you two are just perfect for each other! â
Nancy yelled angrily, so Anna immediately removed the phone from her ear.
Nancy said, âYou donât have to go to the testing department anymore! Youâll begin your inpatient shift this afternoon, and youâll be in charge of Mr. Wright from now on!â
She hung up the phone after she finished speaking. Anna was speechless as she stared at the screen. She figured that Nancy was doing this to get back at her. When she looked up, she noticed Mary staring at her.
Mary asked, âWhat? Nancy asked you to set up a blind date for her?!â
Anna said glumly, âLook, she just yelled at me. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask her.â 419 Youâre the One He Cares ab.
After some consideration, Mary concluded that her work was more important than gossip. âForget it, Iâm not going to ask anymore,â she said. She then walked away.
Anna looked at her phone, perplexed. When she saw Joshua at noon, she had no idea this matter was still relevant to her.
However, she couldnât hide it from Nancy any longer
