Chapter 36 of 100

Unspoken Acquaintance

Everything I left unsaid | Poetry |75 words~1 min read

I glance over my shoulder and what I see is a conveniently placed mirror.

But what I see when I look at this mirror is a stranger staring back at me.

I've become a ghost to myself.

I no longer recognize the blob of bones, blood, muscles with skin to keep it all together.

I've never met this person.

Or spoken to them.

Or even told them my name.

They are a complete stranger.
