Ruhaanâs POV:)I was on my way to Roseâ grandparentâs house. I remember that Nick mentioned once that the house was near âYoung manâs Parkâ I donât know but suddenly I feel so anxious. What if they donât want me back? What if they actually believed that my act to protect them was all real? I was deep in my thoughts and I didnât even realised that I bumped into someone. When I looked at the person whom I bumped into, I found Charles.Ruhaan: Hey, Charles?Charles: Ahn, the park guy?Ruhaan: Yes buddy!Charles: How have you been?Ruhaan: Good! After an hour of explaining and convincing them, Rose and Nick were finally ok with me. But what bothered me the most was Merinâs silence all this while.I looked at Merin and then back at Rose and Nick. Rose took me out of the living room and to her room while Nick was following behind. Rose was searching for something in her bag and then shoved a bottle of sleeping pills. I looked at the bottle and then at her and again at the bottle.Ruhaan: Why the hell are you having sleeping pills?Nick: Itâs not her you idiot!Rose: Itâs Merin.Ruhaan: Wait, what??Rose: Yes! She loves you butthead. And in that love, she has fucked her mental health.Ruhaan: I love her, too!Nick: And when did that happened?Ruhaan: I always liked her. I liked her from the very first day but I donât know when I fell in love with herâ¦Rose: You may or may not want to know what we told herâ¦Ruhaan: What?Rose: To be honest, Charles likes her and he was taking care of her since his arrival and I suggested her to move on and give him a chance. I know she wasnât sure about it but she agreed for my sake. And now, you arrived. I know Charles. As you saved our mothers, he will do anything for you. He will step back. He might be in his room, packing his stuff ready to leave it all despite of the fact of much he likes her.Nick: love her, to be exact!Ruhaan: I wonât force myself on Merin. She has suffered a lot because of me. I want her to be happy now. Even if itâs with Charles.Rose: She wonât ever get you out of her heart but right now she needs time. And somewhere in her heart and mind, she knows she need you at this time.Nick: Take care of her. The situation between you two is really fragile right nowâ¦I let her have her space after that and started to make efforts slowly afterwards. -A week later-Merin has started talking a little bit to me but something was still bothering her and I donât know if itâs the right time to confess.But what if the thing bothering her is my feelings towards herâ¦Well guess what? Charles actually left that day. Sometimes I think it would have been better if I never came back here and let Charles keep her forever. I can never be as kind and sweet as him. Why donât you just tell her and let me sleep? I knock at the bathroom door. No reply came from there as well. I looked out of the balcony and there she was sitting on the swing in the garden.I quickly rush downstairs and towards her. I was facing her back so I silently went towards her and sat beside her. She looked at me for a while. I saw everything on her eyes the pain, the love, and the questionsâ¦Merin: Arenât you supposed to be sleeping right now?Ruhaan: Arenât you supposed to be doing the same?She starts looking at her feet. I look at her for a while and a tear falls on my hand. She was crying. I held her chin and lifter her head so that she could see me.Ruhaan: but, I love you!She started crying more.Ruhaan: I know you loved me. I know that I donât deserve you. And if it really hurts you that badly to be around me, I promise I will disappear completely from your life before the sun risesâ¦She took her hands back, cupped my face and joined our foreheads but her tears never stopped. She stayed like this for a while and the moves back to look at my face. Okay, I donât know when I started crying but I was crying.Merin: I still love you and I will always do. And pleaseâ¦please donât leave me ever. It doesnât hurt to be around youâ¦It hurts to be not close to you. I want to be with you but I am too scared if something happens again and you donât want me anymore.Ruhaan: I will never ever leave you. I want to have you close to me for whole my life.
