I opened my eyes slowly and all I saw was white. White everywhere.
Is this heaven? Am I already dead?
I tried getting up but my body refused to listen. I groaned as my whole body started aching badly.
"Ugh..." I muttered in pain.
I closed my eyes for a bit and when I opened them again I saw Clara staring at me with a smile.
"Clara...?" I questioned.
"Hmm?"
"So I'm really dead huh?" I asked more like stated.
"No my dear. This is just a dream of yours." Clara said.
"A dream....Wait! What happened with the beast?! The kid?! Your brother! Is he alright?! What about the others?!" I asked frantically.
She chuckled. "Well, if you want to know then what are you still doing here? Wake up and meet the ones you dearly want to see. I'll keep meeting you in your dreams. See you later. And you better marry Shawn and give kids. Complete what I couldn't do with Jake. Bye bye!" She said and as soon as she was done the scene in front of me started to fade away and I found myself surrounded by darkness.
Where am I?
I closed my eyes for what seemed to be the third time and when I opened them I saw a white ceiling. I slowly turned my head towards the window from where I felt slight breeze. I saw trees and flowers in full bloom. I could hear peoples happy and elated voices.
I sighed. I then turned towards the other side. My breath got caught in my throat.
Shawn. He looks so handsome. But why does he look so different from when I last saw him? How long have I been sleeping for?
I trued sitting up a bit but my entire body was against it.
"Ugh." I groaned and Shawn stirred slightly in his sleep before opening those ice blue eyes which I have been dying to see.
His eyes widened when he saw me and rushed to me so quickly I couldn't even comprehend it.
"Melanie...." He whispered touching my cheek softly. I saw tears in his eyes.
"Shawn.....How...how long was I out for?" I asked my throat hurting badly.
"4 years. And don't speak, you just got up." He said.
"Melanie!!" I felt I heard a voice similar to that of Lori's and turned to see a beautiful woman with dark blue hair along with light blue highlights and an equally beautiful woman with blonde hair and green highlights beside her.
Lori and Alex.
They pushed Shawn aside and hugged me tightly.
"You idiot! Why the hell did you take so much time to get up?!" Lori yelled. I just laughed with tears flowing down my cheeks.
"Sorry." I said. We stayed that way till a doctor came in and pushed all of them outside as he wanted to do some checkups on me.
"How are you feeling dear?" The doctor, Henry asked.
"I'm okay. My whole body feels like its burning when I try making any moment. And my throat hurts while speaking." I said massaging my throat a bit.
"Here, drink this. Your tests prove that you're all okay but I want you to be here for a few days before going back home, okay?" I nodded.
After he left, Shawn and the rest came in and we spoke a lot.
"We used to come and talk to you a lot while you were in a coma you know? Do you remember anything we said?" Alex asked me.
"Of course. You and Bryson got married 2 years back and have a one year old baby boy. And Drew got Lori pregnant before they got married and she got to know this a month back only right? I can't actually believe Drew did that. I always thought Bryson would be the one who did it." I said and laughed.
"Hey!" Bryson protested while Lori and Drew blushed.
We spoke for some more before they had to leave. Shawn was the only one who stayed behind. He sat closer to me on my bed.
I gently stroked his cheek with my hand. He leaned into it and held onto my hand.
"I'm glad you didn't break your promise. You have no idea how I felt when I saw you collapsed on the ground in a pool of your own blood. Using that spell didn't only cause injuries to your brain but to your body as well. It destroyed many cells in your body. The doctor told us that the chances of you living through the operation was very less but you still pulled through. I'm so glad." He said and pecked me on my forehead. I smiled at him softly.
"You look so different now. You look even more handsome." I whispered leaning in.
He leaned in as well. "Well of course. I was, am and always will be good looking."
I chuckled. "Still egoistic huh?" I asked but never got an answer as his lips met mine. He kissed me extremely gently as if I'll break if he puts in more pressure. He pulled back and kissed my cheeks.
He then got off my bed and sat down on one knee removing something from his pocket. My eyes widened.
He pulled out a velvet box and when he opened it I saw an extremely beautiful silver ring studded with diamonds on top. I covered my mouth with one hand.
"Melanie Grace, marry me?" He asked. Though the speech (it was just four words though) sucked there was no way I was going to tell him no.
"Do you even have to ask? Yes!" I said and he put on the ring on my left finger. He pulled me into a hug and we sealed the proposal with a deep kiss.
We broke apart when we heard a knock on the door and in came a boy who seemed to be in his teens.
Wait a second. He looks familiar.
My eyes widened in recognition. He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Thank you so much. If you weren't there I don't know what would have happened with me. I owe you my deepest gratitude." He said lowering his head.
"Why the heck are you so formal?" I asked chuckling. "I'm grateful that I was able to save you. What's your name by the way?"
He smiled at me. "I'm Louis Hamilton."
"Well Louis, we are friends now even though you're quite young but that doesn't matter. Just take me as your elder sister. So don't be so formal with me okay?" I said. He nodded. We spoke for awhile before he had to take his leave.
Shawn stayed with me that night to keep me company. In the next few day many people came over to visit me. Mrs. Withersfield, Kristen, Mr. Stephenson, etc all came to visit me. Even mom and dad came! They were so proud of me. Dad bought me many video games while mom bought me a lot of food to eat.
I introduced them to Shawn and vice versa. I even told them about us wanting to get married after I can get out of the hospital.
And I can tell you'll. After many hardships I was finally able to get a happy ending.
Shawn and I got married in the academy with all our special people present. I even met his parents and younger brother a few days before the wedding.

"Shawn?" I asked him. We were currently in the car. We had just been announced husband and wife and we were now off to our honeymoon.
"Hmm?" He muttered while turning his head towards mine. He held my left hand and was drawing random circles on my palm.
"I love you." I whispered. He smiled.
"I love you too." He responded.
"Forever." We both said and kissed deeply.
"Well Mrs. Fraser, get ready to experience a wonderful honeymoon. Your husband is gonna become a wild animal." He whispered in my ear hotly.
I shivered in delight. "Well, that's just what I have been waiting for. Show me what you got, Mr. Fraser." I whispered back. He smirked laying his head on my shoulder. I grinned and stared outside the window.
I finally got my happy ending. Well this isn't the end, its just a new beginning.
