"I finally found you, Melanie. I'm Garry. It's nice to meet you."
A dark red dragon said standing in front of me.
A dragon.
It speaks.
"GAAAHHH!!" I yelled, surprised and walked a few steps back only to find myself on my butt.
The hard sticks and stones pricked me a bit but I paid no heed to it.
What I did pay attention to was the small creature sitting in front of me.......smiling I guess.
"W - Wha-?? W - Who are you?!" I asked.
It huffed. "I just told you my name and you're asking me who I am? Wow. Are your ears fine?" It said sarcastically.
"Of course they are! And I heard what you said but I want to know how do you know my name?" I asked.
"I know your name because I know it! What else is there to it?" He said.
Okay. This is a bit annoying. But I'm not surprised or scared anymore.
My head snapped up when I heard some more rustling.
Who is it now?! Is it another weird creature like the one in front of me?
"I found her!!" I heard a loud squeaky voice which I'm sure belonged to a girl. But it didn't sound like Lori or
Alex and they're the only girls here on this island along with me. And there's no chance it could be any of the guys.
Could there be someone else?
After some more rustling a bluish white baby dragon who's body looked like crystal came out.
"Rose? Why are you here?" Garry asked.
Rose?
"Hey Garry!! I was just helping my master to find her." 'Rose' said and pointed behind her. My eyes widened.
"So this is where you were?" Shawn asked brushing away the leaves stuck to his clothes.
"Shawn! So finally someone came to find me. I thought you'll forgot about me." I said getting up from the ground a bit embarrassed since my crush saw me laying flat on my butt on the ground.
Wait. Rewind that please. Did I just say crush?
Yes you did.
My conscience spoke up. I felt blood rush to my cheeks.
"I can't believe you got lost." He said teasingly. I puffed out my cheeks.
"I didn't get lost! I was...just...a..a bit confused! Yea that's it!" I said trying to defend myself. He rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, right. So I see you met Garry." He said looking at the red dragon beside me.
I completely forgot about it!
"You'll know each other?!" I asked.
"Ya." They both said.
"Are you Melanie Grace?" The bluish white dragon; Rose asked me. She flew in front of me looking at me with what seemed to be a smile.
I smiled back a bit nervously.
"Yea. That's me." I said.
"Hi Melanie!! I'm Rose an ice dragon and Shawn is my master! It's nice to meet you!!" She said cheerfully.
Shawn is her Master?
"It's nice to meet you too but did you just say that Shawn is your master?" I asked. She nodded.
"What? But how can you have such a rude master?" I asked her. I saw her sigh.
"Finally someone who understands me. And better yet a girl! And I can't help it, he is my master even though he does not speak much and when he does it's always something rude. And I'll warn you Garry is that way too so you'll need to tolerate him." She said.
"Hey! I'm not that rude." Both of them said.
"Now that's a joke. Do you think I'm blind?" Rose asked sarcastically.
"You are." Both of them said again. They kept arguing while I just stood there watching.
"Uh..." I started.
"Can someone clear my confusion here?" I asked. They all turned to me.
Shawn opened his mouth. "This is Rose. Like she said, I'm her Master. Never intended to be though. I met her the last time I came to this island." He said looking at Rose.
"And he is....?" I asked turning to Garry.
"He's Garry. A fire dragon. I met him last year too. And apparently, you're his master." Shawn said. My eyes widened.
I'm his master?!!
"Wait what?! I'm his master?!! But how?! I don't even know him!" I said looking at Garry. That's when a scene flashed in front of my eyes.
"Garry! Come on! We gotta go!" A woman said. I couldn't see her clearly since her back was facing me but her voice sounded quite familiar.
Suddenly a huge dragon who looked awfully similar to Garry, flew towards her and nuzzled his snout against her cheek.
"Garry! Stop!" The woman said.
"Whyyy? You know I love nuzzling against your cheek. You do too." Garry said.
The woman just laughed and turned around. My eyes widened. I can't believe this. The woman standing beside Garry was none other than me! She just looked a bit older.
The world started spinning and I only saw black.
I opened my eyes and was met with Shawn's icy blue eyes which showed...worry? And something else too.
"You okay?" He asked. I slowly leaned ahead and put my head on his shoulder for support.
He rubbed my back slightly.
"What did you see?" He asked.
"I saw - wait. How do you know I saw something?" I asked confused.
"I just know okay. Since I myself had such dreams during my first year in Elemental Academy." He said. He had such dreams too?
"So what did you see?" He asked.
"I..I saw an older version of me with...with a bigger version of Garry." I said.
"Do yo-?" He was cut off by Rose.
"Melanie!! You're awake! That's great!" Rose said and hugged me wrapping her ice made wings around me. I thought they would be sharp and hard but they were actually quite comfortable. I hugged her back. I think I'm already liking Rose.
Garry was floating in air beside Shawn.
"Garry, what's our relation? Do I...do I know you?" I asked. He sighed. He turned to Shawn.
"I guess it's time to tell her." He said.
"Tell me what?" I asked.
"I have known you since the last 500 to 600 years." He said.
"What? But I wasn't even born at that time." I said.
"Your past life he means." Shawn said.
"My past life? I was born into this world before?" I asked utterly confused.
"Ever heard of the Great Six?" Garry asked. I nodded. But what has that got to do with this?
"You're the reincarnation of one them." Garry said. My eyes widened. They can't be kidding. They looked so serious.
"I..I was part of the Great Six?" I asked. All three of them nodded.
"And what you just saw...was your past self. After she died, she wasn't reincarnated till 17 years ago. And she was reborned as you." Garry said.
Okay. This was a lot to take in.
"Okay....so I was one of the people who put the beast to deep sleep?" I asked. They nodded.
"I understand how you know I'm the reincarnation of the Great Six but how does Shawn know?" I asked.
"That's because I am the reincarnation of one of the members of the Great Six as well." He said. Really?!
"So that means we know each other since a long time?" I asked. He nodded.
"Hey...when did you get to know this?"
"A month after I came to Elemental Academy." He said.
"And what about me?" I asked.
"Two months after you came to Elemental Academy. Mrs. Withersfield knows too." He said.
"What?! And you'll didn't bother telling me?!" I yelled. I can't believe them! They knew about this all along and not once did they bother telling me about this! How could Mrs. Withersfield do this?!
"We weren't sure yet. And we thought it would be better if you get to know it yourself." Shawn said.
I just sighed. No point fretting over it I guess.
But it's just...just so...I don't know. It's a lot to take in. I can't believe I'm the reincarnation of one of the strongest people ever born. I smiled.
"Don't look so happy. You're not that strong yet. You need to train a lot." Garry said.
"Well, how should I train?" I asked.
"I'll help you. We'll train every single day." He said. I nodded.
"I think we should head back home now. It's getting late." Shawn said and we all started heading back.
Rose flew next to me while Garry flew next to Shawn. Now that I look closely, they both act quite similar.
"We need to take care of some really difficult people, eh?" I whispered in Rose's ear. She giggled.
"Yup! So get ready to help me!" She whispered back.
"We can hear you'll." They both said.
We just pretended not knowing anything.
We almost reached the house when Shawn whispered, his breath tickling my ear and making a shiver run down my spine.
"I forgot to tell you but the others are also the reincarnations of the Great Six."
My eyes widened.
