What?...A camp??
"I'm sorry what?" I asked not believing what I just heard.
"You'll heard me. You six will be going for a camp to Funaria island in a weeks time. So get your bags ready by next Thursday. You'll will be leaving on Friday morning." Mrs. Withersfield said.
"For how long Mrs. Withersfield?" Alex asked.
"Do you girls know about the Funaria island?" She asked.
"I do! It's an island where only the really strong people go and train." Lori answered.
"That's right. But Funaria island is actually a different dimension. One week time in Canthopia is one month in Funaria." She said.
Wow. I didn't know that. And we're going there? How cool is that!
"And you'll will be going for 1 month. That is 4 months in Funaria." Mrs. Withersfield said. Wait. So I won't be able to go home for Christmas? I frowned.
"So we won't be able to go home for Christmas?" I asked. She nodded, smiling sadly.
"I'm sorry about that, Melanie. But I need you'll to go there." I just sighed but nodded. I'll have to tell mom and dad later. They were so excited that I'll be back home this vacation.
"That aside, girls, I want to ask you'll something. Have you'll been getting weird dreams where you hear someone saying 'You have to be ready. He's waking up. You need to be prepared for him', something like that?" She asked.
Lori and Alex shook their heads.
I did too but then I remembered the night before I came to Elemental Academy.
Did you have any such dream, Melanie?
I looked up at her.
I did. It was the night before I came here. I heard someone saying that I need to defeat someone. To master my powers and get the others ready. And also that someone is gonna wake up soon. I didn't understand it though.
I'll explain it all once you come back from the camp. Maybe you might figure it out for yourself. And have you ever got this dream again after that day?

"That's all I wanted to tell you'll. The six of you will be the only ones there. No one is gonna train you'll. But you'll will have some survival tests. The boys will also help you'll and explain everything to you'll. They've gone there before so I don't think you'll need a guide or anything." Mrs. Withersfield said. We nodded and got up to leave.
We all walked towards dormitories.
"Have you guys been to Funaria island before?" Alex asked the guys.
"Yup! I've been there twice, Drew too and Shawn has been there once. It's an amazing place. We also have a camp house there." Bryson said.
"Really? I can't wait now!" Lori said.
Lori and Bryson started talking about it excitedly. I could see Alex and also Drew getting a bit jealous. I smiled.
How cute!
Wait. I grinned. Does that mean Drew likes Lori? I know Lori already does. And what about Alex? Does she like Bryson? I think Bryson does too.
I smirked. Time to play Matchmaker I guess.
"Hey Shawn? Do you know why exactly we were chosen to go for this camp?" I asked.
He shrugged. "What do you think?"
"I don't know. That's why I asked you." I said.
He just shrugged again.
I was about to say something when I felt a strong pain in my head. I clutched it tightly as I wobbled slightly.
"Mel! What happened?!" I heard Alex's and Lori's voice.
"Melanie!" Bryson and Drew.
"What's wrong?" Shawn.
Black spots started obstructing my vision and that's all I remember.

"Remember. You need to remember."
That voice! I've heard it before too.
"W - Who is that? Show yourself!" I shouted.
"Sorry. I can't."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm merely a soul. A soul that already died many years back. But you can see my shadow." And true to that I saw it's shadow. Her shadow.
"So you're a woman. And if you're a soul then why are you here? In my mind?" I asked.
"I think it's gonna take some more time before you remember." I heard her say.
"I don't understand you."
"You will, soon. But for now, I need to tell you something else. I want you to find a brownish red coloured dragon like creature when you reach Funaria island for your camp. It's name is Garry. He might help you remember what you need to remember and he'll also train you. And always try to be around that Ice mage." With that said the shadow started to vanish.
"Hey! Don't go! And how did you know about this camp?! How did you know about Shawn?! And who are you?!" I asked but it was too late. She had already vanished and the scene before me started to disappear too.

"Ugh." I groaned placing my hand on my eyes to block out the bright lights.
I blinked twice, thrice till I could see clearly.
I looked up at the white ceiling.
The infirmary? Am I at the infirmary?
"Melanie!" I looked to the side and found everyone standing there. Alex, Lori, Drew, Bryson, Mrs. Withersfield, Krystal and.......Shawn.
They all crowded around the bed I was lying in.
"What happened?" I asked trying to get up. Alex helped me up.
"You fainted. All of a sudden." Lori said a worried look plastered all over her face.
I sighed. I think I should tell Mrs. Withersfield about my dream and I guess even Shawn since that woman mentioned him too.
"Everybody I want to talk to Melanie alone so would you'll be as kind as to leave us for a few minutes, except you Shawn." Mrs. Withersfield said. I think she read my mind.
I smiled at her. She smiled back.
The others nodded and left the room quietly.
Once the door was shut I turned to those two.
"You had a dream, am I right?" Mrs. Withersfield asked.
I nodded and told them everything, that the soul told me to remember something, that she knew about our camp, that she told me to find some dragon like creature and also that I should always stick to the Ice mage; Shawn.
"Do you'll know what she meant?" I asked. They both looked at each other.
"You'll know soon Melanie. And it's not in our hands to tell you this. Just follow what all that soul told you and maybe you'll figure it out." Mrs. Withersfield said. I nodded.
"Well, I'll be leaving now. I'll let your friends in, okay?" She said.
I nodded and she left. I looked over at Shawn and was about to ask him about my dream but I was enveloped on a tight hug.
"I'm glad you're fine now Mel!" Alex said. "Me too! Me too!" Lori said and they tightened their arms around me. I hugged them back giving them a soft smile.
"Thanks for worrying about me." I said. The guys smiled at me too.
I looked over at Shawn to see him staring straight at me.
He didn't say anything about my dream. Why though? I think he's hiding something and I'll find out soon. For sure.
