13- Thirteen - Felix's Point Of View.
Location : Wolf Den, Far far in the Arctic.
The whole wolf pack was on high alert. The little wolf pup I had fallen in
love with had snuck out of the nursery and no one could find him. I had
given up looking on my side of the house and went to look on Dakota's
side. I wouldn't have noticed him laying beside the couch if he wouldn't
have jumped up and wobbled to me.
I walked into Dakota's office, holding the door open for my little
shadow to follow me. Wyatt had made it very clear that he wanted to
walk with me today. He wouldn't let me put him back in the nursery
and he wouldn't let me carry him.
Gosh, he was just so adorable.
"I see you found him then," Dakota said happily.
" Yes, he was by the couch, by our suite. I never would have seen him if
he didnât jump up and come to me."
I sat on the couch in his office and I helped Wyatt up so he could sit
down, instead of sitting down he stood up and watched every move
that Dakota made. He got curious when Dakota started making noise,
the noise wad Dakota typing on the laptop on his desk. Wyatt wanted
to see. I tried to lift him up to see but he all but refused me with a smile
and attempted to crawl up on Dakota's knee.
After a few minutes of watching him struggled Dakota helped him up.
There was nothing on this planet that could have wiped the smile of
Dakota's face. I was indeed happy. Even my own happiness could hardly
be contained.
Dakota finished up his work in his office and the three of us went to the
kitchen.
The Omegaâs kept their distance no doubt scarred that Wyatt would
freak out. It seemed everyone knew about Wyatt's dislike for people.
I sat on one of the bar stools and started to talk with the red-headed
Omega named Pepper.
"1 can believe he actually found someone he will let touch him, he's
never let anyone touch him." Pepper said practically jumping for joy.
Wyatt wobbled around the kitchen following Dakota to the fridge and
back over to me. Wyatt let out a shrill squeal when I didn't pay
attention that he wanted up on my knee.
I looked at him and he raised his arms above his head.
I picked him and set him on my lap. He shoved his thumb in his mouth
and starred at Pepper.
Wyatt's stomach gave a loud growl.
"Sounds like you need lunch little pup,â 1 said poking his rumbling
belly.
Pepper made lunch for Wyatt and me. Grilled Chicken Strips and
chopped up vegetables. Dakota went and got a high chair to feed
Wyatt in. Wyatt really hated that idea. He squealed and squealed. I was
so close to grabbing him off the floor when Diego grabbed him.
All the Omegaâs seemed to flinch. Wyatt screamed and big fat tears
rolled down his cheeks. I don't know what came over me but I ripped
Wyatt from his arms and growled holding a crying Wyatt to my chest.
"Don't touch my pup. Never again.â
Wyatt nuzzled into my chest his sobbing eventually stopping. I held
Wyatt rubbing his back lightly. His poor little stomach protested for
food. But every time I tried to pull he away got closer to me. Still, no
one had made any noise, but Pepper was smiling as we're the other
omgea's. Dakota couldn't hide the shock on his face fast enough, I saw
it.
"I'm sorry..." I mumbled softly.
Pepper reheated mine and Wyatt's food and grabbed my hand, he led
me to the much smaller living room.
"Feed him in her Luna Felix. I won't allow anyone to bother you or your
pup.â
" Pepper I didn't mean to freak out on every-----"
" You have every right to. If you feel like he is your baby then he is your
baby. He clearly thinks your his parent"
Wyatt lifted his head up when I picked a cut-up piece of chicken and
held it to him. He didn't take it from my hand with his hand, he
wrapped his lips around my fingers and took the chicken. He swallowed
and opened his mouth. I took this as he wanted more. I gave him piece
after piece until there was no chicken left.
I gave him a carrot chuck and he chewed it twice before he spits it out.
Carrots were not a veggie he liked. Corn was something he liked. I gave
him a few more pieces and when he refused the last piece I knew he
was full.
"If 1 knew all it would take was a baby to domesticate you I would have
gotten you pregnant long ago."
I turned and looked at a smiling Dakota. For once the urge to tell him
off wasn't there. Pepper left and came back with a blanket and a
soother.
Wyatt reached out and took the blanket from Pepper. He wouldn't take
the soother from him though. He handed the soother to Dakota and
Wyatt took interest in that. He made grabby hands towards Dakota.
Dakota walked closer and picked him up. He curled up against him and
made a noise alerting Dakota he wanted that soother. Dakota slipped
the soother into his mouth. Dakota moved Wyatt's blanket so that it
was around him. Dakota seemed to be taking shallow breaths as if he
was afraid of waking up Wyatt.
"Breathe Dakota you won't wake him, if anything the sound of you
breathing will help him sleep better,â Pepper said handing me a new
plate of food
I ate the food and watched as Dakota walked around with a sleeping
Wyatt in his arms.
The Wolf running the nursery practically begged us to bring Wyatt
back. Dakota and I didn't want to but we did. Wyatt remained asleep
when we put him in the crib. We barely got down the hall when we
heard Wyatt screaming and squealing. Dakota pulled me down the hall
mumbling about how that was better for him. It was as if he was trying
to justify him staying in there screaming.
Around midnight Dakota woke me by tucking Wyatt into bed with us. I
raised my eyebrow at him and he spoke softly.
"He wouldn't stop crying and squealing. The nursery wolf linked me
and asked me to come to get him."
I pulled Wyatt closer to me and waited for Dakota to get back into bed
before I spoke.
"Kiss me please."
He didn't say anything, but he pressed his lips to mine and when he
pulled away he pulled me and Wyatt against him.
"I love you, Felix. Now sleep "
"Mhhm Love you too Koda Koda. "
I closed my eyes and was gone to the world.
