Corinne's POV
Christmas. The time of year where everyone gets together and exchanges gifts. This would be my second Christmas as a Queen and the twins very first Christmas. I was very excited. The twins were almost one now and they were also very excited for their first Christmas. Although they were young, they were more advanced because they were wolves. They could understand a lot more than a human child could so we made sure to explain to them that Christmas wasn't just about presents. It was about the time you got to spend with your family. They understood but deep down, they just wanted the presents.
I knew any moment now, the twins would run into mine and Callie's room and beg us to open their presents.
Callie was still asleep but I was prepared. All we've been hearing the past few months is how excited the twins were for Christmas.
Me and Callie made a promise that no matter what, we wouldn't spoil the twins. Yes, they were royalty but I didn't want them getting everything they asked for without working for it. As they grow up, they were going to expect everything and we didn't want that. I didn't grow up expecting to get everything I wanted and I wanted the twins to have that same mentality, whether they were royalty or not.
As if right on cue, the twins ran into the room. I immediately raised my hand, stopping them in their tracks. I raised my finger to my lips and pointed to Callie, who stirred slightly but didn't wake up,
"Mummy sleep?" Caleb whispered. I nodded and they walked up to stand directly in front of me,
"We wake mummy up?" Camellia asked. I smiled and nodded slightly. This was to get Callie back for the time she used the twins to wake me up a few months ago. Payback was a bitch.
The twins smiled and looked at each other briefly before jumping onto the bed. I smiled as Callie shot up quickly, scanning the room for any danger, before realising that it was the twins. She let out a breath of relief before laying back down on the bed,
"Mummy! Up up! It's Cwismas!!" Cami shouted. I chuckled as Callie covered her eyes with her arm. She was up late last night sorting out the pack finances so I left her to it. One thing I told her though was that no matter what we were doing or how busy we were, we had to take time out to tuck the kids into bed.
Caleb lay down on top of Callie and leant his head on her chest while Camellia came to sit on my lap,
"We go open pwesents now?" Caleb asked Callie. Callie let out a deep breath and moved her arm from her eyes. She looked over at me and I gave her a smile, making her smile back over at me before she looked down at Caleb,
"What do you say first every morning?"
Caleb smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek, "Morning mummy." Camellia moved and gave Callie a kiss on the cheek as well before saying good morning to her.
Callie sat up on the bed and gave me a quick kiss on the lips, "Good morning love."
I gave her another kiss before saying good morning back to her. Camellia and Caleb then stood up impatiently and started jumping on the bed again,
"We open pwesents!!" They shouted. Callie chuckled and nodded,
"We can open presents when everyone is awake okay? If you want, you can go and wake Corey up."
Their eyes widened and they ran out of the room quicker than they ran in. I laughed at their excitement before looking over at Callie who lay back down on the bed. I gently ran a hand through her hair,
"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly. She nodded in reply, "I'm fine, just a bit tired that's all. I'll be okay though."
I wasn't convinced. I continued to look down at her but she just grabbed my waist and pulled me over so that I was directly on top of her. I leant my forehead against hers and looked into her eyes,
"Do you know what would make this a Merry Christmas?" Callie asked. I shook my head and she tilted her head up slightly so that her lips were brushing against mine,
"If you gave me a kiss." I laughed and gave her a peck on the lips, making her growl playfully, "I meant a proper kiss."
I smirked and gently took her bottom lip between my teeth before pulling her in for a kiss. She ran her hands down my waist making me shiver into the kiss. She always had an effect on me and I couldn't seem to resist it.
Before we could really get into the kiss, a loud knock rang out through the room. Callie groaned into the kiss and pulled away from me. I leant my head on her shoulder briefly before moving and sitting up on the bed to face the door. Tatum and Sasha were leaning against the doorframe. Sasha was just smiling knowingly at us while Tatum had her arms crossed. She was always so stoic but I knew she was a softy on the inside. She had just been raised the way she was.
"Camellia and Caleb came to wake us up." Tatum stated. I looked at her apologetically before standing up from the bed. I could see Tatum look me up and down briefly, making me laugh and making Sasha hit her on her arm,
"Ow! What was that for?" Tatum asked Sasha,
"For eyeing up Corinne." Sasha replied. Callie growled and Tatum held her hand up in defence,
"Woah, I wasn't eyeing her up okay? I am happily married." Tatum defended. Callie stood up from the bed and gave Sasha a hug,
"Merry Christmas Sasha." She said before moving to hug Tatum, "Merry Christmas Tatum."
As Tatum moved back, Callie grabbed Tatum's wrist and pulled it behind her back, making Tatum shout out in pain,
"Eye up my wife again and I'll do a lot worse." Tatum smirked and flipped them around so that it was Callie who had her arm behind her back,
"I'd like to see you try."
Tatum pulled Callie's arm tighter, making Callie wince, "Alright alright! Let me go."
Tatum laughed and let go of Callie's arm. As Tatum was walking out of the room, Callie pushed Tatum the rest of the way out,
"That's for tightening your grip you witch!" Callie said amused, making Tatum laugh,
"See you downstairs puppy. Sasha come on!"
I looked over at Sasha amused, "Merry Christmas."
Sasha laughed and nodded before walking out to follow Tatum. I then looked over at Callie,
"What is it with you and Tatum?" I asked. She shrugged,
"I'm not sure but I like it. We're very much alike I guess."
I nodded in agreement and walked over to our chest of drawers, getting out a shirt to put on. Usually me and Callie would go straight into the shower but on Christmas we had a tradition. We would always open our presents in our pajamas first. We wanted the twins to experience this as well and we didn't want to keep them waiting any longer.
Once Callie put one of her shirts on, she took her hand in mine and led me downstairs towards the living room.
Everyone was already there waiting for us. My whole family was here today excluding Hollie as she was spending Christmas with her own family.
Spending Christmas with us this year was my mum, dad, brother, Ava, Evelyn, Tatum and Sasha.
Everyone was excited for the twins first Christmas, especially my mum and dad. They were excited to spoil them even though I told them not to go too far with it. They weren't hearing any of it though.
Both of the twins stood up and immediately ran over to us, grabbing mine and Callie's hands,
"Mummy, we open pwesents now! Come on!"
I smiled at how excited they were and let them drag us towards the tree. We sat down in front of it and looked over the room,
"Merry Christmas everyone." I said. Everyone said Merry Christmas back and I gestured for Corey to come and sit next to me.
He stood up from the chair and sat down on the right side of me and leant his head on my shoulder as Callie started to hand out the presents to everyone.
Every year it was getting harder and harder to buy gifts for everyone. It was easy for people in our family to get what they wanted due to relation so figuring out what to get them was difficult because everyone already had everything they wanted.
The hardest person to buy for was Callie. I struggled to get her something on her birthday and Christmas was no different. It was hard but I eventually figured it out, I just hoped she liked it.
Once Callie had handed out all of the presents, we decided to let the twins open their presents first because I think if we waited any longer, they wouldn't be happy.
Camellia was first. She literally ripped into the wrapping paper, "Slow down Cami."
She nodded and slowed down slightly. Only slightly though. She really didn't slow down that much at all really.
The first present was from my parents. Once the wrapping was off, Camellia squealed at what it was. To be honest, I had no clue what it was but she seemed to be happy about it because she immediately handed it to Callie for her to open.
Callie shook her head, "What do you say to Nana and Granda?"
Camellia ran over to my parents and gave them a big hug, "Thank you!"
My parents smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek and she ran back over to the tree to open her next present, which was from Ava and Evelyn.
She once again ripped into the wrapping paper and shouted out in excitement when she saw what it was. It was clear we were going to get a lot of those today.
Cami turned to face us and showed us what she got, "Look mummy!"
I took the present from her and looked it over. They were riding boots. Although the twins were only one, they were very much adamant on horse riding. They were way too young but we held them while they took a few laps on a pony. Camellia was more into it than Caleb was so she specifically asked for riding boots after seeing the ones that me and Callie had,
"I wear them when I wide Jammie?" She asked excitedly. Jammie was the name of her pony. Jammie Dodger to be exact. Don't ask why she chose that name, it just happened to be the first name she came up with and it stuck.
I nodded at Camellia's question and she cheered excitedly making everyone laugh. Caleb pouted,
"I open a pwesent now?" He asked. I looked over at Callie for confirmation and she nodded,
"Go ahead baby."
He grabbed one of the presents in front of him and ripped the wrapping paper just as quickly as Camellia. His eyes widened at the present and mine widened along with him. It was expensive, let's just say that.
The present was a Corynthisum 2.0 or in other words, a limited edition wand. I immediately knew who gave him that so I looked over at Tatum and Sasha who was looking everywhere but at me, knowing I was going to give them hell for this later on.
Caleb was a huge fan of witches and warlocks. He was also quite attached to Tatum and Sasha. The thing with Tatum and Sasha was that they didn't need wands in order to practice magic but it was an option. One time Sasha was practicing her magic using her wand and Caleb was fascinated. He begged me and Callie for a wand after that but we explained to him that he wouldn't actually be able to use it because he didn't harness any magic.
He understood but wouldn't stop asking for it. We continued to tell him no so I guess he went to ask Tatum and Sasha for a wand. I knew wands weren't cheap and the Corynthisum 2.0 was the most expensive wand you could purchase. I would definitely be having words with them,
"A wand!! Look look, I got a wand!!" Caleb shouted,
"What do you say Caleb?" I hinted. He ran up to Tatum and Sasha and gave them a hug,
"Thank you!!"
Tatum and Sasha gave Caleb a kiss on the cheek before letting him run back to the tree. Callie stood up and walked out of the room briefly before coming back in with a box. It was time for Corey's present.
She placed the box in front of Corey and he leant up from my shoulder and looked at us confused before looking down at the box,
"Merry Christmas son."
He smiled at the word son. No matter how much we tried, he was scared that we wouldn't love him as much as the twins because he wasn't our biologically. We took to reassuring him in another way and calling him son was one of those way.
Corey's present wasn't actually wrapped for many reasons. He lifted the lid off the box,
"No way!" He shouted before lifting the gift out of the box. A small bark ran through the room as he lifted a puppy out of the box. A husky to be exact. Me and Callie thought it was about time we got him a puppy. We felt like he deserved it.
The puppy started to lick Corey's face making him laugh. He looked over at me and Callie smiling,
"Thank you mama."
"You're welcome baby." I replied, "What are you going to name him?"
Corey looked at the puppy for a few moments before replying, "I wanna name him Link."
"After the video game?" Sasha asked. Corey nodded,
"I like Link in the game. He's brave. Puppy Link will be brave as well."
I smiled at his thought process and watched as he placed Link on the floor. Link ran around the room barking happily. Luckily for us he was already trained so we didn't have to teach him ourselves. I knew we chose the right puppy by the look on Corey's face.
Tatum stood up and walked over to the tree. She picked up a small envelope and walked back over to Sasha and handed it over to her. Sasha looked at Tatum curiously and took the envelope from her hand,
"Thank you." Sasha said. Tatum smiled and sat back down next to her again. Sasha opened the envelope and took out the contents. She looked at it confused before shaking her head in amusement,
"Are you serious Tatum?" Sasha asked. I looked over at her confused,
"What did she get you?" I asked curiously. She held up the contents,
"She got me Tatum Vouchers. So for example, the first voucher says Chill Out Day."
Everyone looked at Tatum for explanation and she smiled, "So, if we're busy, she can use that voucher to have a day off and I won't be able to dispute it."
Callie burst out laughing, "You're not serious!"
I looked at Callie amused before looking back at Tatum, "Is that the only gift you got her?"
Tatum's eyes widened and she shook her head, "No! Of course not! What kind of wife do you think I am?"
"A terrible one if that was your gift!" Callie said while continuing to laugh. I shook my head at her,
"Ignore her Tatum." I said. Tatum shrugged,
"I do most of the time." She replied, making me chuckle. I would never understand Tatum and Callie's friendship.
After Callie calmed herself down, everyone else started to open their presents but me and Callie decided to wait until later to exchange our gifts. I had not one clue what Callie got me, even though I insisted that she didn't have to get me anything at all but she wasn't hearing any of it. She said that it wouldn't be fair if I got something for her without her getting something for me. I wouldn't have minded though. There wasn't really much I needed or wanted at this point in my life. I have a home, amazing friends and a beautiful family. What else did I need?
Once everyone had opened their gifts, I told Caleb and Camellia to help pick up the wrapping paper. They complained at first, not wanting to be away from their presents but complied once Callie gave them a look. They knew better than to get on the wrong side of Callie. She was a lot stricter than I was. She wasn't a harsh strict but she didn't take any nonsense. I didn't take any nonsense either but she had a much sterner way of going about it.
I stood up and followed my mum and Ava into the kitchen. It was time to start preparing the food. Usually, we would go for a three course meal but we decided to scrap that today and just prepare a main course and dessert. The starters never went down well anyway so there was no point in wasting time preparing it,
"Mum, do you need any help with the food?" I asked. She turned to face me and shook her head,
"It's fine honey, why don't you go and give the twins a bath? We'll be fine."
"Are you sure? If you want, I could ask Callie to help."
She nodded in confirmation, "We'll be okay, I swear."
I nodded and gave her a kiss on the cheek before doing the same to Ava, "Thank you for the presents today."
They smiled and thanked me for their presents as well and I walked back out into the living room where the twins were playing with the presents. Callie was playing with Camellia and Tatum was showing Caleb what she could do with the wand. He was fascinated and was pretty much hanging on her every word and move. Corey was playing with Link who was happily barking,
"Camellia. Caleb. It's time for your bath." I announced. They groaned and stood up to come and stand in front of me,
"We no pway with toys longer?" Camellia asked. I shook my head and gestured towards the stairs,
"The quicker you have a bath, the quicker you can come back down and play with your toys. No ands, ifs or buts." They ducked their heads and walked towards the stairs, "Go to mummy's bathroom okay?"
They shouted out okay and continued up the stairs. I then looked over at Corey, "Corey, can you go and get ready as well please?"
He nodded, "Can Link come too?"
I nodded and he cheered before picking up Link and running towards the stairs, "Corey! Do you want help?!"
"No mama! I'm big now, I wanna do it myself!"
I chuckled and let him run up the rest of the stairs. Callie stood up and walked over to me,
"Do you want help with the twins?" She asked. I smiled at her,
"You do know they're your children as well right? You don't have to ask."
She chuckled and nodded, giving me a kiss on the cheek before making her way up the stairs. I made sure she was completely gone before looking over at Tatum and Sasha,
"Have you figured out how to work Callie's present?" I asked. Tatum nodded,
"It's the first time I'll be doing this but it should go smoothly."
My eyes widened slightly. I couldn't afford for this to go wrong today, "Should? This has to go right Tatum."
She smiled and stood up. She walked over to me and placed a hand on my shoulder,
"Calm down. It will be fine okay? She's going to love it."
"Tatum's right Corinne," Sasha interjected, "It's a very thoughtful gift. Let's face it, it's better than the one Tatum got me."
I laughed and Tatum turned to face her, "You know that wasn't your real gift love. I was only playing."
Sasha smiled and waved Tatum off before looking at me again, "No but seriously, there's nothing to worry about. Everything will be fine and she'll be happy okay?"
I smiled and nodded in satisfaction, "Thank you for this by the way."
They both nodded and I made my way up the stairs towards the master bathroom, which was located in mine and Callie's room.
Before I even got there I could hear the twins laughing away, automatically making me smile.
When I walked into the bathroom, the twins were playing with their toys in the bath, while Callie was playing with them, changing her voice according to the characters. The bath was barely halfway because of how small the twins were so I didn't question how quickly they actually got into the bath,
"Mummy! You be Una!" Caleb shouted once he saw me. I smiled and knelt down beside the bath,
"You mean Luna?" I corrected. He nodded and handed me the doll of the Goddess,
"Yeah mummy, I said that."
I chuckled and took the doll from his hand. It was times like this where I just couldn't believe how lucky I was. The fact that I had a loving wife and three beautiful children at the age of 21 was astonishing to me. I still sometimes thought I was dreaming and that I would wake up any moment.
It was times like Christmas, when all of my family were together in one household where the word lucky wasn't even enough to describe how I felt.
It was later on in the day when everyone was sat down around the dinner table. Christmas was usually the one time of year where dinner was served earlier than any other day of the year.
Dessert had just been served and I knew it was time for Callie's present. I really hoped she liked what I got her.
I looked over at Tatum and nodded. She nodded back to me, letting me know that she got the hint.
"Aunty Sasha, can you show me magic again pwease?" Caleb conveniently asked.
Sasha nodded and stood up, taking his hand in hers before leading him out of the room.
"Aunty Evie, can you, Aunty Ava and nana Cawa help me wide Jammie now please? I wear my new boots." Camellia asked sweetly.
Evelyn looked over at me and Callie for permission. I nodded so she smiled over at Camellia and nodded over at her. Camellia squealed and ran out of the room, shouting that she was going to get her riding boots. I chuckled and Ava, Evelyn and my mum all stood up to follow Camellia out of the room. That left me, Callie, Corey, my brother and my dad. I think my dad could tell I wanted to be alone with Callie though because he looked over at Corey,
"Corey, why don't you show me and Uncle Jameson your new game console."
Corey's eyes widened, "Can you help me set it up?"
My dad nodded, "Sure thing buddy."
Corey cheered and jumped up, grabbing my dad and brothers hand. I smiled gratefully over at them as they left the room. I then looked back over at Callie who was smiling at me,
"I thought we were going to leave the gift exchange until later on?" She asked confused. I shrugged,
"We were, but I don't think I can wait any longer."
She looked at me curiously before looking at Tatum, "You know what it is?"
Tatum smiled and nodded, "I do. In fact, I need to be here in order for it to work."
If Callie was confused before, she was even more confused now. I smiled and took one of Callie's hand in my own,
"It was really hard to figure out what to get you," I started, "So, I decided to share my favourite memories with you. You're a Queen so it's hard to buy gifts for you because you have everything already. I thought this would just be a nicer touch."
She smiled and nodded. I gestured for Tatum to come over. She walked over to us and placed a hand on each of our shoulders,
"Okay. I want you to lean your foreheads against each others and close your eyes." We both did what she said and I closed my eyes, "Now just breath in and out as normal. Corinne, I'd like you to clear everything in your mind other than the memories you would like to share with Callie."
I followed Tatum's instructions and cleared my mind. Clearing your mind wasn't as easy as it sounded though. You always have the tendency to think about things that don't even matter at the time. It's natural,
"I'm going to count down from five. You can open your eyes after one. You will automatically come out of the memories so don't worry about that. Enjoy."
Callie's POV
She started to slowly count down from five. Like she said, as soon as she got to one, I opened my eyes and they widened at the sight in front me.
We were looking at the very first time me and Corinne met.
I reached her hand out to touch us but it went straight through. It was only a memory, technically past us weren't physically here,
"You looked so beautiful." I spoke for the first time since we got here. She smiled and looked over at me,
"I thought the same thing about you when you stepped out of the limo. Pictures do you no justice."
I chuckled and my smiled widened as I watched the moment I realised that she was my mate,
"That was one of the best days of my life. Meeting you." I spoke. She nodded in agreement.
When she fell before me, I was curious. She came out of nowhere and I didn't know what to make of it. There something about her though which is why I didn't get as angry as I normally would have. My wolf just got a feeling and my wolfs instincts are never wrong. When I looked into her eyes and realised she was my mate, my life changed for the better.
The scene in front suddenly went white before changing to another scene. The day we found Corey on our doorstep.
I smiled, "As much as I very dislike his mother for leaving him here unannounced, I am grateful towards her as well."
We continued to watch as past Corinne picked up Corey in wolf form and carried him inside the castle. It felt like yesterday. I couldn't believe that we've had him for two years now. I'm sure he'll be an amazing King one day, if he decided he wanted to take to throne when Corinne and me decide to step down. If not, it would pass over to Caleb, as he is older than Camellia by a few minutes. If Camellia was born first, it would pass onto her. It goes by age, rather than gender. Even Corey isn't biologically ours, he is still able to take the throne.
The scene changed again and changed to the moment I proposed to Corinne. I think that may have been the most nervous day of my life,
"I was so scared that day." I admitted. Corinne looked at me confused,
"Scared I would say no?" She asked. I nodded in reply and looked back at the scene. When I looked close, I could see that my hands were shaking. The thought of Corinne saying no was plaguing my mind the whole day. I planned everything a few days before and everyone was reassuring me that she wouldn't say no but I wouldn't be convinced until I heard Corinne say yes. When she nodded and said yes to marry me, I was so relieved and of course, extremely happy,
"I could literally see you let out a breath of relief when I said yes. You were that scared." Corinne stated. I laughed,
"I was. I've never felt so strongly about someone than I do with you. It would've crushed me if you said no because I really wanted to make you my wife."
She smiled and raised her left hand, "Which you did."
I smiled and the scene changed again. It was now showing us the day we got married. Looking back on this now made me realise how deep my love for Corinne really goes. She is literally my whole world and looking back on these memories, reassures me of the decisions I made.
When Corinne stepped outside, not knowing anything about the wedding, she looked stunning. She wasn't in a traditional dress, which was fine, especially since she didn't like wearing dresses anyway. That's why I picked out a white suit for her instead. My jaw dropped at the sight of her, she was that beautiful. Not that she wasn't beautiful every other day.
I could literally feel my eyes watering at the sight of us saying our vows. We put all of our emotions in those and although I was crying, they were tears of happiness.
Corinne reached up and wiped away the tears than had fallen from my eyes. I ducked my head briefly and wiped my face to compose myself,
"It's okay to cry Callie." She reassured. I looked up at her to see she had tears in her eyes as well. I smiled at her,
"I know. I think I cried enough the first time though."
She laughed and wiped her eyes as her tears fell, "A second time doesn't hurt."
I nodded in agreement and looked back at scene just as we kissed to become each others wives. That made me look back down at her again,
"Want to recreate that moment?" I asked. She looked at me amused and nodded. I took both of her hands in mine and leant down to press my lips against hers. It felt like we were getting married all over again with the scene that was around us.
As we pulled away from each other, the scene changed around us once again. It was a bit further down the line.
It was the day Corinne told me she was pregnant. Now to put this into context, we had to try the magic at least four times before Corinne actually got pregnant so our spirits were really low during some days. At one point, I was ready to give up because it just didn't seem to be working for us but Corinne was adamant.
In the memory, she came up to me while I was doing some paperwork holding a pregnancy test. Her face looked sad so naturally, I assumed it didn't work again. She handed me the test in silence and when I looked at it, my eyes widened. There was a little plus sign on it and I couldn't stop the smile from taking over my face. We were finally going to become parents,
"After all the attempts, it finally happened." Corinne said, continuing to watch the scene play out in front of us. I smiled as I watched past us hug each other and shed a few tears. Well, I was actually the one who started crying but we never mention that to anyone,
"It was an amazing moment seeing that plus sign on there. After the amount of times it didn't work, it made everything that little bit better."
She nodded in agreement and the scene changed in front of us to the day that Corinne gave birth. I unconsciously winced because even though I wasn't the one in labour, I remember the pain Corinne caused to my hand. That would stay with me forever. Corinne hit my arm and looked up at me amused,
"I can so hear your thoughts in here Callie."
I rubbed the back of my neck, "Sorry."
She smiled and we looked back at the scene in front of us. We were both holding a twin and a smile made its way onto my face. All those failed attempts was just something we had to get through. The twins were our pride and joy along with Corey and believe me, it was a shock to everyone when we realised we were having two children, rather than one. A good shock but a shock nonetheless.
The scene changed once more to a day that was significant but I was quite surprised it was one of Corinne's favourite memories. It was an amazing day though, don't get me wrong. It was the day the twins said their first words. Weirdly enough, they spoke on the exact same day,
"That was a shock to all of us." I said. Corinne nodded and smiled as she watched past us pick the twins up and praise them, although they didn't understand what was going on at that point,
"When they said mama, we had no idea which one of us they were talking about."
I laughed. It was so true. We were both mothers so technically, they said it to us both. It was still cute nonetheless.
Once again, the scene changed in front of us and I furrowed my eyebrows slightly. It was a day when me and Corinne were having a movie night. I was laying on her lap asleep and she was running her hands through my hair. I didn't actually remember this, because I was asleep so I was intrigued as to why this was a favourite memory.
I looked at the scene and past Corinne looked down at past me before speaking quietly, "I love you so much Callie. I know you can't hear this so I don't even know what I'm talking right now but I just have to say it. I can never thank you enough for loving me the way that you do. How strongly that you do. You manage to run a whole kingdom and still come home to tuck the kids into bed and kiss them goodnight. You still shower me with love every day and I can't express how happy and grateful that makes me."Â Past me stirred slightly, making past Corinne stop talking for a moment. Past Corinne wiped the tears that fell from her eyes and continued speaking once past me had settled down again,
"I love you as my Queen; as my wife; as my soul-mate and I promise that for the rest our lives together, I will show you how much I love you, just like you show me every single day."
Past Corinne placed a light kiss on the cheek of past me before continuing to watch the film that was playing.
A tear ran down my cheek as the scene then went black. I felt my eyes close unconsciously. When I reopened them, I blinked a few times to clear my vision and realised that we were now back in the castle.
A headache came over me and I raised my hands to my temples, rubbing them gently to try and relieve it. When it died down, I looked over at Corinne, who met my eyes, trying to gage a reaction from me,
"Did you like it?" She asked wearily. I wrapped my arms around her waist and lifted her into my lap, hugging her tightly,
"I absolutely loved it. Re-living those memories again, even though it was for a short time, was the best gift I could've received. I have no idea how to thank you for that."
I pulled back so that I could look at her properly. I tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and she smiled at me,
"You don't have to thank me. You show me your thanks for everything just by showing me love everyday. That's enough for me."
She wiped away a stray tear that had fallen from my eyes before leaning forward to press her lips against mine briefly,
"Merry Christmas baby." She spoke quietly. I smiled and gave her another kiss,
"Merry Christmas." I replied back to her.
I had my friends, my family and my beautiful wife. Nothing could spoil the rest of this day and as long as I had everyone by my side, my life would continue to be as perfect as it is right now.
