TL:Zimming
I came out of the dressing room with gloves that Lea gave me on my 5th birthday.
I was getting ready to go to the capital.
My dad said he would take me after he took care of his job. Of course I will go with him.
âIt will take awhile for my dad to take care of his job, but I still have to pack my luggage one by one in advance.â
I have so much stuff that I canât just pack for a day or two, or else, I would go to the capital and suffer.
âThis too!â
âCan the bag even be closed?â
Lea glanced at my luggage and said,
The luggage Iâm packing this time was already full again. I couldnât take as much as I wanted because there was a limit to the luggage I could take in the carriage.
âIâll bring the gloves next time.â
âThen do you want me to tell you to take your gloves next time so that you donât forget?â
âYes.â
These gloves were precious.
As Lea was a knight, she wasnât good with her hands and had a hard time knitting, she fixes it again several times by reducing her sleeping time.
The finished product was very sloppy, but they are very precious to me.
âIs there anything else you need?â
I nodded,
âAh!â
âI have to take that too.â
I left the room to go to the portrait room on the west wing.
I stared at the always magnificent portrait.
It was an old man with silver hair and blue eyes, a symbol of the Dubbled family.
âI know who this grandpa is now.â
I didnât know who he was when I first saw him, but the employees later informed me. The man in this portrait is one of the first of Dubbled families.
I stared at the portrait and put my hands together while saying.
âExcuse me, grandfather.â
I pulled a chair and climbed onto it. Then, I reached for the amethyst in the center of the frame.
When I was four years old, as soon as I saw a portrait here, I heard a âvoiceâ and passed out.
âAt first I thought that was the voice of Boone.â
But on second thought, it wasnât.
I remember clearly the first words Boone said.
[I finally met the little miss.]
âIt means he hasnât seen me before.â
So the âvoiceâ might belong to another devil that Boone does not know.
Until now, I was always inside the Dubbledâs fence, and there wasnât a place where I could call out the devil freely.
Above all, if the wish of the devil was not granted, the devil could not be returned, so in the worst case, there was a risk that the wish could not be granted and my divine power would be gone while maintaining the devil.
So I didnât touch it, but I thought Iâd take it with me because I didnât know what kind of incident I could be in if I lived in the capital in the future.
I got permission from my dad too.
âA little bit moreâ¦â
I raised my body with all my might.
âGotcha!â
âWhat are you doing?â
I could hear someoneâs voice.
I was surprised and lost my balance.
âAahhhh!â
I stumbled and fell.
Bang!
The chair fell with the sound and I fell down.
âWh-who?â
I raised my head.
âYouâre doing a strange thing.â
As soon as I saw the boy who said so, I recognized who he was.
Becauseâ¦
âMy fatherâ¦â
Because he looks like my dad but the younger version!
Among the three brothers of Dubbled, he resembles our father the most.
âJohann Dubbled.â
I stiffened.
He stared at me.
âYoung Master!â
Dubos, who rushed in, called him.
âAh, itâs the little miss. Haha, you have met him already? It must be your first time seeing each other. This is your big brother, Johann. And, Johann, this isâ¦â
âI know.â
âPardon?â
âA thief.â
He glanced at the amethyst in my hand and said that.
Itâs been five years since I finally met an obstacle.
âCause I was seen as a thief!â
***
The whole family of Dubbled gathered at the dining room.
On the middle of the table sat Dad, Henry and Isaac on the left, and Johann on the right.
I sat across from my father and looked at Johann.
Henry, who had his mouth closed with a napkin, put down his fork and smiled at his brother.
âBut why are you here? I heard you were attacked on your way back, you must have been very scared.â
That was a sarcasm, Henry meant to say âdid you come home to hide?â
Henryâs expression changed in a flash.
âWhy are you here?â
âIâd rather be scared than to pitifully own a small power.â
âAre you saying that to me? Letâs try it.â
A blue spark rose from Isaacs hands. Then,
Clang!
There was a shrill sound of the tableware. It was my dad.
âIn front of me, I told you to not have a nasty fight, right?â
His fatherâs words faded the spark from Isaacâs hands.
I stiffened.
âIâm so nervousâ¦.â
Although my dad and my brothers are not uncomfortable with each other for a long time, I thought their relationship is not this bad.
It must have been true that the Dubbledâs relationship in my previous life was even more fierce.
âWell, Henry and Isaac also didnât get along very well at first.â
Even now theyâre not best friends, but they can tolerate each other.
When the sons shut their mouths, my father asked again,
âSo Johann, why are you here?â
âThis is the third time Iâve been attacked near the border.â
Isaac asked while frowning.
âSo what? All these years, me and Henry were attacked as well when we went back and forth from the capital.â
âThatâs the problem.â
Johann said while poking the meat.
âItâs only natural that Dubbled is attacked.â
âWeâre always in danger of kidnapping. A couple of bandits usually use children to blackmail their parents, and raid those expensive carriages.â
âWho dared attack the carriage of the Dubbled?â
Henry and Isaacâs facial expressions changed as he said so.
âSome stupid guy.â
Henry narrowed the space between his brows and answered instead of Isaac.
âBecause those who inflicted the harm before had their family and relatives died. There were no ones who received requests to assassinate Dubbled in fear.â
Johann looked at his father and said,
âTo be honest, itâs bothersome.â
âSo?â
âTheyâre like tigers without teeth.â
âYou mean yourself?â
Dad and Johannâs eyes met constantly.
I lowered my head quickly and concentrated on the meal.
âLetâs eat quickly and run away.â
However, it was not easy to get out of the situation, so I quickly chewed the meat.
Hurry, hurry.
When I chewed it, I felt my gums hurting and there was something inside my mouth.
I bit my tongue in surprise.
âAhh!â
âKid!â
âLeblaine.â
Henry and Isaac approached and asking me,
âAre you all right?â
âDid you bite your tongue? Let me see.â
I cried and opened my mouth. Then, something fell on the plate and rolled away.
ââ¦..â
ââ¦..â
âWhat is iwt?â (What is it?)
Gasp! Whatâs wrong with my pronunciation?
When I looked at the plate in amazement, I can see two of my teeth.
âRight, it was time for me to lose my teeth.â
Because of my slow growth, my teeth fell out when I was nine years old.
I cried and looked at my brothers. With a puzzled look on his face, Isaac alternately watch between me and my missing tooth.
And he burst into laughter. Henry, too, was turning his head and visibly laughing.
âDwonât laugh!â (Donât laugh!)
My two teeth fall out and I sound weird.
âI talked about the teeth of a tiger, and now we really have a teethâ¦â
Isaac slapped the table and laughed. Henryâs shoulders also shook more violently.
I stared at my dad.
âLook at them dad!â
I looked for help, but my fatherâs mouth was also smiling.

After the meal, the maids surrounded me.
âDonât be too sad, little miss.â
âYes, people lose their teeth. It will grow back soon.â
âBwut, isnât this funny?â (But isnât this funny?)
I have to go to the capital now. Wouldnât it be funny if I had two teeth missing?
âMy goal was to be a dignified young miss of Dubbled.â
As I became sullen, the maids quickly said,
âItâs not!â
That is comfortingâ¦.
âReally?â
As soon as I opened my mouth, I heard laughter from all sides.
Liars. Theyâre all liars!
