After replacing his pickaxe, he continued to smash the wall.

A minute later, the pickaxe was blunt again.

“Why don’t I use a hammer instead?” said the bricklayer awkwardly.

“Alright, you can use a hammer to smash it.”

The bricklayer master swung the sledgehammer and smashed it against the wall.

Two hours later…

“Please don’t go. How am I supposed to proceed with the renovation if you leave?” shouted Henry whilst chasing after the bricklayer.

“I can’t do it. This wall won’t budge at all. You’ll have to replace it. Goodbye!”

When the electrician saw that the bricklayer had left, he followed suit.

After all, there was nothing he could do about the walls.

They tried smashing the walls using a pickaxe and sledgehammer for the full two hours. Apart from the paint that had been scraped off, the wall was completely fine.

Henry looked at the empty room and the walls that had paint scraped off them. He did not know whether to laugh or cry.

It seemed like the quality of the house was too good. Unfortunately, that was not a good thing.

How was he supposed to proceed with the renovation?

Smith drove his luxury car to work. He left a gap between him and the other cars.

If he accidentally brushed his car against theirs, he would not be able to pay for the damage.

“Welcome to the highway family radio station.”

“I’m Bao.”

“I’m Jiaozi.”

Smith loved this radio program. He would listen to it every day when he went to work.

“Bao, have you noticed that there have been fewer shoddy projects recently? The developer no longer receives news about people cutting corners. It can be said that there are almost none.”

“I read the news yesterday.”

“What did the news say?”

“Shoddy projects are usually very normal on the news.”

“That’s right. Right now, the residents of the entire neighborhood are not able to proceed with the renovations.”

“They can’t break through the walls? It can’t be that bad, right? Could it be that the tools aren’t working properly?”

“It’s not the tools. They tried using a pickaxe to smash the wall and it became blunt. On the other hand, the walls were completely fine. Only some paint was missing. What do you think about the quality now?”

“That’s really not bad, but we can still use other tools, right? And not pickaxes?”

“It’s useless. One of the families even borrowed the road cutting machine. It worked on the road but had no effect on the wall.”

When Smith heard the news, the corner of his mouth twitched.

He was not to be blamed for this. He could not create such good quality either.

It was similar to moving a housing estate. If other renovation companies could not do it, maybe he could renovate it instead.

He will not earn as much from the renovation project. The money earned from developing the residential area was way more than the renovation project.

He might as well build a few more houses and earn more money that way.

When he went to the office, Smith had nothing to do.

He only played games every day.

He did not know when George would finish his task. This wasted world was full of money.

Ring, ring, ring!

Suddenly, the phone on Smith’s desk rang.

“Hello, who is it?” Smith answered after picking up the phone.

“Mr. Smith, it’s me, Polly.”

It was a very familiar voice.

“Polly?” asked Smith with uncertainty.

“Yes, it’s me, Mr. Smith. We haven’t seen each other for a while. I have taken on a big project,” Polly said with a smile.

“Good to hear. Can you make a living out of it?” Smith asked curiously.

“Mr. Smith, it’s like this. Didn’t you build the transfer housing complex?”

“That’s right.”

“The quality of the construction is too good. Even the owners of the property can’t seem to proceed with their renovations. Mr. Smith, do you think you can help solve this problem?”

Polly kept a low profile. After all, he was currently in a shopping mall. Everyone knew that George was Smith’s backer.

“This matter? Oh right, Mr. Polly. Why are you involved in this matter?”

“Haha, isn’t this all thanks to you?”

“Why is that?”

“My boss was very satisfied with my work, so he gave me this position. However, many owners of the property have submitted their complaints to me. They are hoping that the government can help to solve this problem.”

“Is that so?”

“I’ve checked the information and found out that the transfer housing complex was built by your company. Therefore, I can only ask for your help.”

“No problem. I’ll send someone over to fix it.”

“Aside from that, there are no other issues. If you have time, I would like to treat you to a meal. I think you’ll enjoy it, right?”

“Of course, no problem.”

Smith was very happy that someone wanted to treat him to a meal.

In the past, he used to treat others all the time. Since he was currently a big boss, it was only fitting for someone to treat him a meal instead.

“Is there anything else?”

“Oh, no. You can go if you’re busy Mr. Smith. I’ll hang up now.”

“Okay, bye.”
