Meanwhile, Angie was pacing up and down the dojo while Splinter was meditating. She was worrying about Leo. She couldn't bare to lose her boyfriend.
Just then Raph came in, still angry about what happened, so he punched the wall, scaring Angie quite a bit.
"Raph?" she gasped upon seeing him.
Then Raph knocked over some training equipment, making Splinter come out of his meditation.
"Raphael. What is the matter?" he asked.
"Raph, what happened? Where's Leo?" Angie asked.
"I was out. I was out and I did-I did something. Something happened and then I-and I..." he tried to explain but pushed some barbells down as one rolled to Splinter's feet.
"Raphael. Kneel," Splinter said.
Raph sighed and obeyed as Angie asked calmly yet firmly. "Raph. What happened?"
"I did something-I did something really stupid, Master Splinter, Angie," he replied.
"Go on," Splinter encouraged as Angie lay her hands on his shoulders.
"I know why you chose him now. I know that there's a reason why he's the better son and I'm not," Raph continued.
"Raphael, you always bear the world's problems on your shoulders. It is an admirable quality when you are a protector of other. But you must realise that while, at times, you may not be my favourite student, it does not mean that you are my least favourite son. You are strong, passionate, and loyal to a fault. These are the merits of a great leader as well, but only when tempered with compassion and humility," Splinter explained.
"But, Master Splinter, I messed up big tonight. I mean big," Raph confessed.
He reached behind him and pulled out Leo's broken katanas
"They took him," Raph finished.
What they didn't know was that Mikey and Skyla were in the entrance, holding hands and listening to what happened. They silently gasped at what Raph said.
"Leonardo," Splinter said.
"No. Not my handsome turtle," Angie was heartbroken.
"Yeah," Raph nodded.
Angie embraced Raph and cried her heart out. Raph teared up and hugged her back, brushing her hair with his hand.
"I loved him, Raph," she whimpered, tears falling from her eyes.
"So did I," Raph admitted after sighing.
Splinter breathed deeply and announced. "Then the time for hiding is over. We must return to the surface to take back what is ours."
Raph almost couldn't believe what he was hearing, but he nodded, saying. "By your wish, Father."
IN THE LIVING ROOM...
"It was my fault. First, I should tell you guys that I am the Night Watcher. Was. He found me and he chanced me until we fought and when he found out, he didn't really take it that well. We fought and I won. But I was shocked at what I did and I ran. But I heard a scream and saw one of the statues carry him away. It's all my fault, guys," Raph explained.
Skyla hugged him which he returned.
"I loved as if he was my big brother," she sobbed, pressing her face into his chest as he gently patted her head
Casey stepped up to them.
"Raph, you made a mistake. Everyone makes them every day. We're not perfect. Yeah, the fight wasn't necessary, but it made you realise that you may not be able to stand Leo at times, but you'd still want him here," he said.
"Thanks, man," Raph smiled and they fist bumped.
"I had a feeling something like this would happen," Angie said, surprising the others.
"What do you mean, girl?" April asked.
"Skyla and I lost our parents after a fight we had tow years ago and watching Raph and Leo argue, made me scared as I remembered that day," she replied sadly.
"That's why we don't fight anymore. Family comes first," Skyla added.
"Whoa," Donnie and April gasped.
"Oh my," Casey also gasped.
"Dude...I had no idea a fight could cost a loved one's life," Mikey said.
"You learn something new every day, Mikey," Skyla replied.
"Well, what do we do now?" Mikey asked.
"I'll tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna rescue our brother, and then we're gonna save New York City," Raph answered determined.
They all nodded and got ready for battle.
