My baby sister hates books but I forced her to read this one and she liked it but she said it left her hanging. So I decided to add this extra chapter and dedicate it to her.
Surprise! Surprise!
Masons POV
It was graduation day and I was very nervous and feeling frustrated. B should have been here a week ago in time for my graduation but her flight had been delayed due to bad weather and now she couldn't make it. I had talked to her earlier this morning and she was so sad she couldn't make it but I assured her it was okay and that it wasn't her fault. She had promised to make it up to me as soon as she got back and I told her I looked forward to it.
Four months away from her felt like forever. We had talked almost everyday but it still wasn't enough . I needed her here next to me cheering me on as I graduated.
Becca was the best thing to ever happen to me. She had turned my life upside down and I loved it. I loved that girl with every bit of my being and I thanked the heavens everyday for the day she came into my life. She was so beautiful with her light skin, brown eyes and that body. Oh man. It did things to me that I couldn't even explain. In my eyes she was a goddess and the most beautiful woman I have ever met. She said she didn't like her tattoos that much but I liked them. They added to her personality and made her unique.
I thought I had been in love before but I was so wrong. What I felt for B superseded what I had felt for all those other girls by far. She was all I could think about most of the time. Anytime I thought about the future, she was there. I wanted to wife her and one day she'd be the mother of my kids.
When we had broken up before she left it had been the worst experience of my life. She had completely cut me off and the worst thing was that I completely understood why she had broken up with me. I would have chosen her in a heartbeat over my mother but the relationship between my mother and I would have been ruined. B made that decision for me and broke up with me saving my mother's and I relationship but hurting us both in the process.
It had taken a whole month for my mom to come to her senses and finally realize that B was the one I wanted. I also understood why my mom had misjudged Becca. Seeing her tattoos had reminded her of the girls I used to date during my rebellious phase. Becca was different from those girls but my mom didn't know that and it had taken a lot of convincing to change her mind.
Now they were close and talked all the time. My mom had even visited her a few times in the UK but I couldn't due to my internship. I had been so tempted to say to hell with the internship and go see her but I knew B wouldn't like it. She would have been so mad so I decided to just be patient and wait for her.
Yet here I was on my graduation without the love of my life by my side. I played with the promise ring on my finger and I smiled. I didn't want her to go to the UK in fear that she'd find someone better and leave me but the day she gave me this ring assured me of her love. We were basically married without the whole wedding jist.
My friend seated next to me nudged me and I looked up to see they had began calling out the names of all those who had graduated with first class honors. Finally they called my name and I stood up to go stand in line with everyone else. People were clapping and cheering for everyone who was being called. When I got to the stage I heard someone shout and cheer my name louder than everyone else and I looked up to find the one face I would always recognize even in a crowd. A happy smile crept on to my lips. She was here.
Becca stood next to Lee both of them holding up a banner written in bold "Congratulations Mason". I was so happy I almost burst into tears but I quickly composed myself. I sent her a wink and she awarded me with a smile before she blew me a kiss. I pretended to catch it and hold it to my heart. She looked so beautiful dressed in a black short romper that had gold buttons on the side and her hair in a pony tail.
I was so happy that she had surprised me today that I didn't care that she had lied to me about not coming. It meant that when we talked this morning she was already in the country. I hoped she had got here yesterday because if she had been here all week I'd be pretty pissed at her.
We shook hands with all the dignitaries there before going back to our seats.
The rest of the ceremony went by fast but to me it felt like an eternity. The graduates had to seat separate from their families and all I wanted was to pull my girl into my arms and show her just how much I had missed her.
Soon enough the ceremony ended with prayers from the pastor invited that day and we were free to join our families. I had to go past hundreds of other graduates all wishing each other congratulations to get to my family. I got stopped a few times by people who we'd shared classes together wishing me congratulations and I did the same.
Finally I spotted her looking for me through the crowd and when she saw me she ran towards my open arms and I caught her. Her legs wrapped around my waist and her hands around my neck. My hands were on her bare thighs supporting her. God I'd missed having her in my arms.
"Hi baby girl."I greeted with a smile.
"Hi yourself." She replied with a smile taking off my graduation cap.
Before I could say anything else she smashed her lips into mine and kissed the life out of me. I would have gladly died in her arms at that moment. She tasted sweet like the strawberry bubblegum she told me she had become addicted to. Her lips felt like heaven on mine and I held her tighter against me as I deepened the kiss. This was where she belonged. In my arms.
We were interrupted when someone cleared their throat next to us and I looked up to see my mom, Lee and Jake looking at us with smiles on their faces.
" I know you had missed each other but there's other people present. Behave for Gods sake." Lee said teasingly.
She herself was attached to Jakes side like a vine around a tree. Looks like we weren't the only people to desperately miss their significant other. B lay her head on my shoulder and tightened her legs around me. Looks like someone didn't want to let go. I tightened my arms around her to let her know I had missed her too.
"So I'm not going to hug my son congratulations?" My mom asked in a teasing tone.
"You will, just not now." Becca's replied and my mom laughed.
"Okay kids. Take your time. I'll meet you all back at the hotel. Congratulations son." My mom said kissing my cheek.
"Thanks mom." I replied and she left us all alone.
"So when did you guys get here?" I asked.
"This morning actually, then we got on another flight from Nairobi to Kisumu courtesy of your mom. We freshened up at the hotel before driving here." Lee informed me.
"Well I'm happy you guys could make it." I replied.
"Thank your crazy girlfriend. She threatened to set the airport on fire if we didn't get on a plane that would get us here by today." Lee explained and I laughed.
"Is that's true babe?" I asked the girl in my arms.
"Of course. There was no way I was missing your graduation. You look hot in that gown by the way but I can't wait to get it off you." She said whispering that last part in my ear making me smile.
"Ditto." I replied with a smile.
"Can we leave now I'm hungry." Lee whined and we all laughed.
"Sure. Let's go." I replied."Baby girl you wanna get down?" I asked her and she shook her head.
I adjusted her in my arms and walked with her tightly held in my arms. When we had first started dating she had been so skeptical about letting me carry her because she thought she was too heavy but to me she wasn't. I benched weights twice her weight at the gym without breaking a sweat so carrying was no big deal. Once she discovered I could lift her easily she actually enjoyed me carrying her like this and I couldn't be happier holding my most precious possession proudly in my arms.
"Miss me?" I asked her as we neared the parking lot.
"You have no idea just how much." She replied kissing my neck.
The hard on proudly hidden by my gown from the moment I laid my eyes on her suddenly got more painful.
"Stop playing with fire love or you'll get burned." I warned playfully.
"Then we'll burn together." She replied and I smiled wickedly.
I couldn't wait to get her alone to show her just how much I could burn her. Four months without her had been hell on earth especially since she left soon after our relationship had finally because more physical and intimate. I'd enjoy reminding her just how good it felt when both of us were joined in the most sensual way.
"Congratulations on graduating with honors my love. I'm proud of you." She whispered.
"Thanks baby girl. I'm happy you could be here today to share the moment with me." I replied.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." She replied looking at me before joining our lips again. She was finally back and I would never let her go again. Wherever she went I'd be by her side. Now it was me and her forever.
