Mandy didnât expect that Vicky would fall. Vicky was too weak.
Mandy bent over and wanted to pull Vicky up, but Vicky pushed her hand away. âI
donât believe it. Jack has never told me about his girlfriend! You must be talking
nonsense!â
Mandy frowned at Vickyâs overreaction.
Just then, the elevator door opened. Jack walked out and saw this scene.
Mandy stood safe and sound, raising her eyebrows and looking at Vicky on the
ground. Vicky, on the other hand, fell on the ground with a pale face and looked
as if she had been bulliedâ¦
Jack didnât hesitate at all. He walked quickly to Mandy and looked at her
carefully. âAre you okay?â
He didnât even give Vicky a look.
Vickyâs face became paler. She clutched her skirt, gritted her teeth, and said,
âJack, this woman claimed to be your girlfriend, and sheâ¦â
She hesitated to speak with tears in her eyes, looking pitiful.
Mandy raised her eyebrows, not planning to explain to Jack.
Jack smiled and walked to Vicky.
Vicky seemed to see hope, but then she heard Jack say coldly, âIf my girlfriend
wanted to do anything to you, you wouldnât just fall without getting injured.â
Vicky looked at Jack in disbelief. He didnât even doubt Mandy.
âBesidesâ¦â Jack stood up slowly and mocked, âWhy do you think that I will help
you? Even if she wants to do something to you, I will only help her.â
His eyes were cold, and he seemed to be a completely different person from the
gentle and easy-to-get-together assistant in the company.
Vicky stood up in a panic and said, âIâ¦â
Jack made a stop gesture and said seriously, âI donât know how you got my home address, but I hope you wonât come here again or try to use such despicable
means against my girlfriend.â
Vicky was too embarrassed to say anything.
She burst out crying, turned around, and ran away.
After Vicky left, Jack turned around and smiled at Mandy. âDonât worry. I wonât let
anyone slander you.â
The look in his eyes was so sincere that Mandyâs heart raced. Many dark
memories of the past flooded into her mind, but they were all driven away by his
smile.
Mandy didnât know if Jack would change in the future, but now, his commitment
sounded sincere enough for her to take action.
With a smile, she walked up to Jack and put her hands around his neck. âArenât
you afraid that I really bullied her?â
Jackâs arms encircled Mandyâs slender waist as he stared at her red lips with his
deep eyes. âAs I said, I will only help you if you do anything.â
He lowered his head and kissed Mandyâs lips. Their breaths intertwined as their
kiss deepened. Unlike his gentle appearance, Jackâs kisses were domineering,
and he greedily tasted Mandyâs sweetness.
Mandy didnât eat the dinner Jack made.
