Seeing that there were so many live comments, Jerome explained, âOur show
is absolutely fair, and there isnât any inside story.â
Even if there was, they didnât dare to be so blatant.
Charlotte looked at Joe and asked, âHow did you figure it out?â
As Joe chuckled, he pointed at some strange patterns in the upper left corner
of the sheepskin treasure map.
These patterns were composed of dots and lines. If Joe hadnât pointed at
them, Charlotte might have thought it was some kind of printing error.
âActually, this is a string of Morse code.â Joe introduced to Charlotte, âIt points
to a book.â
There were a few books scattered on the TV cabinet in the room. Charlotte
thought they were just decorations, but Joe picked up one of them and pulled
it out.
âI wasnât sure at first, but when I saw this book in the room, I knew I was right.â Joe smiled and shook the blue-covered book in his hand.
It was a dictionary of Burkina Faso language.
Charlotte couldnât help but laugh. Why would there be a dictionary of Burkina
Faso language in the castle?
There were some live comments. [Before Mr. Smith gave any hint, I thought
there must be an inside story. But after hearing his words, I think itâs so
simple.]
[The whole world is learning the language of Burkina Faso, whatâs wrong with
putting a dictionary of Burkina Faso language there?]
Joe circled the string of numbers written next to each treasure location with
his fingers and said to Charlotte, âThis string of numbers corresponds to words on different pages. As long as we find them, we can know the location
of the treasures.â
In fact, these were not difficult. The only difficulty might be to use Morse code
to find the book.
After Joe explained to Charlotte, he saw three pairs of shining eyes.
âDad, you are awesome!â Anna flew into Joeâs arms. Although she didnât
understand Joeâs profound analysis, she admired him very much.
Joe held Annaâs little butt firmly and chuckled, âAnna, you are also awesome.
Letâs help Mom find the treasures later, okay?â
Upon hearing the word âtreasuresâ, Annaâs eyes immediately lit up.
She nodded and said, âOkay! I can help Mom find many treasures!â
Hearing Annaâs words, Joe and Charlotte both laughed.
Some locations of the treasures on the treasure map were directly marked,
but some of them required solving puzzles to obtain relevant hints.
Joe and Charlotteâs strategy was to get the simple ones first and then think about the complicated ones.
When they took Ben and Anna downstairs, they happened to bump into the
other families walking in the door.
âHave you finished choosing the room?â Pedro asked when he saw them
going downstairs.
Charlotte and Joe nodded and pointed at the knight. âIt depends on luck this
time.â
They didnât want to reveal too much in front of the camera, so they just said a
few vague words before leaving.
Unexpectedly, Neil stopped them. âHave you discovered the secret of the
treasure map?â
Neil had secretly observed the Smiths. They looked very calm and didnât show any anxiety.
If they hadnât known the secret of the treasure map, they wouldnât have been
so relaxed.
Charlotte thought they would know it sooner or later anyway, so she didnât
deliberately hide it from them. âWe just guessed a little.â
âSo fast?â Pedro asked.
