Lena frowned and turned back to glare at Gideon.
Gideon also didnât expect that Charlotte would betray him and slander him in
front of Lena.
He quickly waved his hand and explained, âI was anxious to see youâ¦â
Seeing Gideonâs nervous look, Charlotte laughed and described to Lena
about Gideonâs appearance when he came out holding the âbombâ.
Lena couldnât help but laugh.
Gideon was relieved when he saw Lena laugh. He thought, âCharlotte was
very considerate in the past, but why does she trick me now?â
âWell, weâre fine now. You can go back first,â Lena said to Charlotte.
As Charlotte and Joe looked at each other, they decided to go back and rest.
When they got home, Ben and Anna came to ask them, âDid Lena give birth
to a boy or a girl?â
âItâs a boy,â Charlotte patiently said to the two children, âI will take you to see
the baby in a few days. You canât touch him casually.â
Ben and Anna nodded obediently. They muttered for a while before quickly
running upstairs.
âWhat are they doing?â Joe was puzzled when he saw the movements of the
two children, and he turned to look at Charlotte.
Charlotte explained to Joe, âThey are going to prepare gifts for Troy.â
Hearing Charlotteâs words, Joe was helpless. âHe is just born. What kind of
toy can he playâ¦â
As he said that, he saw Ben and Anna walking down each carrying a bag.
Seeing that, Charlotte deliberately coughed, and Joe immediately praised, âI
didnât expect you two to be so well-prepared. What did you prepare?â
Charlotte thought that Ben and Anna would keep it a secret, but unexpectedly,
they quickly opened their bags to show the things inside.
Anna prepared a fluffy rabbit doll. Charlotte remembered that Anna liked this
doll very much and even hugged it to sleep for several nights.
Charlotte didnât expect that Anna would choose to give this thing away. âIsnât
this your favorite?â
She looked at Anna curiously. Anna nodded and said, âSince I want to give a
gift to the baby, I will give him my favorite thing.â
Anna shook the bag in her hand reluctantly. âI believe he will like it very
much!â
Charlotte looked at Anna tenderly and nodded.
She said, âGood job, Anna. When you give someone a gift, you should give
him your favorite thing, and he will cherish it.â
Anna nodded seriously.
Ben prepared a small bracelet, and he said, âAs long as the baby wears this
bracelet, we wonât be afraid that someone will take him away. We can find him
no matter where he is.â
Charlotte looked surprised, but thinking about Benâs recent experience, she
understood why he wanted to give this thing as a gift.
She hugged Ben tenderly and said, âLena will like it very much. Ben, thank
you for this gift.â
As Ben looked at Charlotte, he smiled happily.
