Chapter 763 Warmth of Home
But the moment she lay in bed, she felt like a wanderer who had finally found
home, and she relaxed all over.
She didnât know when she fell asleep, only remembering that it was pitch dark
outside when she closed her eyes. When she opened them again, it was
already broad daylight.
After freshening up, she went to the balcony and saw Ben and Anna playing
in the garden.
Perhaps worried about disturbing Charlotte, the two children were very quiet.
Had Charlotte not been on the balcony, she might not even have noticed
them playing.
As Charlotte quietly went downstairs, she saw a man and a woman on the
sofa who were completely unfamiliar to her.
Hearing her footsteps, the two looked up at her, their eyes full of delight.
Catherineâs eyes welled up as she took Charlotteâs hand, âHi, there.â
Charlotte looked at her silently and then finally said, âIâm sorry, I donât rememberâ¦â
Before she could finish, Catherine hugged her again.
âYou donât have to apologize. Itâs the fault of those who kidnapped you; they
are the ones who should be damned!â Catherine said fiercely.
Behind Catherine, Huxley also came over, pointing to his face, âDo you
remember me?â
Charlotte looked at him carefully for a moment before shaking her head
silently, âSorryâ¦â
Huxley let out a deep sigh.
After Ben and Anna left, Joe arrived.
Unlike her indifferent attitude toward the previous two groups of people,
Charlotte visibly felt uneasy.
She hesitated and looked at Joe, âAre you also here to comfort me?â
Joe paused, shaking his head, âNo, our wedding photos have arrivedâ¦â
âI would like to see them,â Charlotte took the initiative to say, âMaybe it might
jog some memories.â
What she didnât say was that she wanted to find some happy memories from
these photos.
