Chapter 390 Who Sent You?
Joeâs face darkened, and he ordered in a deep voice, âChange these things when we get back.â
About half an hour later, Wesley dialed Joeâs number and said softly, âMr. Smith, Iâve sent the documents over. I couldnât
get through to Jackâ¦â
âIâll ask him to go down and get it.â Joe glanced at the motionless phone of Jack, and his eyes were full of sarcasm.
Wesley paused for a moment and said, âThereâs no need to trouble Jack. Iâll bring it to you.â
âNo need.â Joe refused in a cold voice. Jack pretended to go downstairs to bring the document up.
Half an hour later, they went downstairs and saw Wesley sitting in the hall, waiting for them.
When she saw Joe appear, she quickly went up to him. âI didnât explain what happened this morning, Miss Charlotte.â
Charlotte glanced at her coldly and looked straight at Joe.
Joe frowned and said to Wesley, âTake a taxi back by yourself.â
The group of people left just like that. Wesley stood where she was and clenched her fists tightly.
Joe didnât care about her feelings at all. Instead, he put a gold-cover book in Charlotteâs hand and said, âThereâs an
auction going on in S country recently. Itâs quite good. Are you interested?â
Charlotte opened it and took a look. She was a little surprised. âAn island for sale?â
Joe knew that she would be interested, so he nodded and said, âYes, take a photo if you like.â
Jack also explained, âThis island was handed down from a noble family in Farmland. The facilities on the island are very
complete. It is indeed very good.â
Enter titleâ¦
Charlotte was indeed a little curious, so she nodded and agreed.
âWhat are you going to do next?â Charlotte frowned and asked when she thought of Wesley, who had been left behind by
them.
Joe curled his lips.
When Wesley returned to the hotel, she was surprised to find that Charlotte and Sharon had disappeared!
She quickly asked Jack, âWhere are Miss Charlotte and Sharon?â
Jack looked at her impatiently. âThey fell out with Mr. Smith, and Miss Charlotte and Sharon also left.â
After saying that, he left in a hurry. Wesley smiled silently.
Soon, someone knocked on Joeâs door. Wesley stood nervously outside the door and said, âMr. Smith, Iâ¦â
âCome in.â Joe held a wine glass in his hand and looked at her indifferently.
Wesley was shocked and walked in with a red face.
âI hope I can see you resign when I get back.â
Before she could rejoice, Joe spoke with a hint of drunkenness.
Wesley blushed and asked, âWhy?â
âShe doesnât like it.â Joe seemed to be a little drunk. He accidentally spilled some red wine on his pants, put down the
cup, and went to the bathroom.
Wesley bit her lower lip and suddenly took a deep breath. She took out a small paper bag from her bag and poured all the
powder in it.
After Joe came out, he picked up the wine glass again and brought it to his lips.
Wesley was on tenterhooks.
âDo you really want me to drink it?â Joe suddenly asked. Wesley didnât expect him to ask this question, so she quickly
said, âI⦠I donât want Mr. Smith to drink it, but youâre in a bad moodâ¦â
Joe couldnât be bothered to waste time with her and asked indifferently, âWho sent you?â
âWhat are you talking about?â Wesley didnât expect to be discovered so soon, so she continued to play dumb.
However, Joe had already known her background. âIs it your sister, Linda, or your father, Brian?â
