Chapter 353 Where Was She?
Just when the driver thought he was about to die on the spot, Joe suddenly let go of him.
âGet out of the car?â The driver asked in a trembling voice. Joe sat back in his chair and said lightly, âNo need. Letâs go.â
He was clearly sitting in a shabby van, but his noble aura made him look like he was sitting in a Bentley car. The driver
stole a glance at him and did not dare to speak again.
When they arrived near Sunlight Mountain, the driver motioned for them to get out of the car. As soon as they landed,
Joeâs phone rang. Cowper laughed arrogantly at the other end of the line. âI didnât expect Mr. Smith to be such an
infatuated man. You are willing to do this for a woman.â
Joe couldnât be bothered to argue with him. âWhat do you want?â
âNow, only either of you and Trevor can come up. You can make a choiceâ¦â Before Cowper could finish his words, Joe
interrupted him. âYou donât have to make a choice. Iâll do it.â
âThatâs not right! Why donât I have a choice?â Trevor said angrily, âYouâre not the only one whoâs willing to save her. Iâm
willing, too.â
Joe swept an indifferent glance at him, âIâm perfectly justified.â
âThat was in the past.â Trevor sneered. âYouâve done too many silly things like this. Iâm afraid you donât know what true
love is at all.â
Joe didnât pay any attention to him. He just prepared everything and went up the mountain.
Trevor wanted to stop him, but was stopped by him. âWeâll leave our safety to you.â
âAh?â Trevor started. Joe had already left him behind and went up the mountain.
Enter titleâ¦
Trevor secretly cursed, âWhat bullshit safety? If it werenât for Charlotte, I wouldnât care about your life.â
He glanced at Joeâs back as he disappeared and contacted the police with a snort.
According to the navigation given by Cowper, Joe went deeper and deeper until he was completely lost.
âJoe, youâre quite bold.â Cowper came out of nowhere and looked at him with a gloomy expression.
Joeâs face darkened. âWhere is she?â
Cowper chuckled, and there was a flash of aftertaste in his eyes. âAfter all, she used to be Mrs. Smith.
It feelsâ¦â
Bang!
Before he could finish his words, Joe had already punched him to the ground.
âYou!â
A strong smell of blood overflowed from his mouth. Cowper didnât expect that Joe would take action so quickly!
âArenât you afraid that Iâll kill her?â
Joe didnât say a word. He stepped hard on his wrist as if he were an evil ghost from hell. âAfter killing you, I can hire
countless people to search the mountain. I donât have to worry about not being able to find her.â
As he spoke, he exerted force secretly. Cowper only felt that his wrist bones were about to break!
âI didnât touch her!â Cowper felt the pain and had to shout, âSheâs fine. I didnât touch her! But if you continue to delay, I
canât guarantee it!â
A cold glint flashed across Joeâs eyes. He slowly straightened up and asked, âWhere is she?â
Cowper got up and spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva. âI know you called the police. I want you to guarantee that I can
leave the country safely and give me 20 million dollars in cash. If anything happens, Iâll let her die here.â
Joe looked at him with a deep gaze. âI want to see her first.â
Cowper originally wanted to refuse, but when he saw the murderous look on Joeâs face, he was afraid that once he
refused, Joe would kill him here.
