Chapter 35 The Truth of the Past Mia didn’t answer her question. Instead, she stared at Diana with burning eyes and asked, “Do you still want to say that you don’t know Judy?”

Diana burst into tears.

“She is indeed my friend but passed away many years ago, so I don’t remember for a while.” Diana looked at Mia with tears in her eyes. “I don’t know what others have said to you, but you are indeed my daughter.”

“I was with her when Diana gave birth to you! She almost died. How dare you insult her like this!”

Levi was furious, picked up the phone on the table, and threw it at Mia.

Mia didn’t expect him to do this. When she reacted, David had already hugged her and protected her in his arms.

She hurriedly looked at David and asked, “Are you all right? Where did you get hurt?”

“My back.” David waved his hand. “I’m fine.”

He patted Mia on the back to comfort her and then turned to look at Levi.

He didn’t say anything, but everyone could clearly feel that he was angry.

Although it just hit his back, David could feel how much strength Levi had used just now. If it had hit Mia in the face…

He quickly stepped forward and grabbed Levi by the collar. His eyes were full of hostility. “Do you want to die?!”

Looking at the imposing David in front of him, Levi was shocked.

In the past, Joe’s neglect of Mia made them take it for granted that David would treat her the same way. They didn’t expect that a phone that almost hit her would make him so angry.

Was David serious about her?

“I just made a mistake.” Levi quickly apologized. “Mia listened to the rumors and actually felt that she was not our child. Isn’t that too absurd?”

Mia looked at Levi coldly, and her eyes were full of coldness. “I didn’t expect that you haven’t made any progress after so many years.”

Back then, when they forced her to marry Joe, they used this kind of attitude, using both soft and hard tactics without any bottom line.

“You idiot!”

Levi was so angry that he took two steps forward, but was stopped by David.

Mia didn’t bother to say anything more and threw out another stack of documents. “My birthday is on November 25th, but there was no record of Diana being hospitalized that day. Did she give birth to me at home?”

Diana looked at the case file and opened her mouth but didn’t. say anything.

“Not only that, she didn’t have any records of obstetrics and gynecology one year before my birth. On the contrary, she had accompanied Judy many times to have a checkup. Do you want to see the records?”

The more Mia said, the paler Diana looked.

Levi was also frightened. Back then, when the incident had happened, they had been so focused on dealing with the problems around them that they had forgotten about the hospital records.

He calmed down and sighed deeply. “Since you know, I won’t hide it from you. You are indeed not our biological daughter.”

Leah and Diana exclaimed at the same time.

“Judy died in an accident when you were just born. It happened so suddenly that she only had time to entrust you to us before she passed away. We were worried that you would be sad because of this when you grew up, so we simply hid it.”

Levi sighed deeply and said with pity in his eyes, “Even so, our feelings for you are true. Don’t you know that?”

Mia looked at him quietly for a while and sneered. “Is it really that simple?”
