âWhat do you want to get?â Aunt Julie asked while we were waiting at the drive-thru on my birthday, which fell on a Sunday this year.
It was a sunny, comfortable day with our stack of books from the library sitting in the back of our rusty car that she had bought with the money I gave her. I knew I could afford to buy books now, but I needed the comforting feeling I had every year for our birthdays.
And it was to go to the library and buy food. Our birthday tradition.
âHmm,â I said as her eyes glittered with excitement. âWe could definitely afford more now, so letâs go all out.â
âThatâs what Iâm talking about,â she said. âOrder whatever you want. Weâre next in line.â
The car squeaked as she pressed the accelerator to move a spot forward. My chair was constantly moving around, compared to the luxury cars I had been riding in with the alphas.
âIâll go with cheese bites, a burger, and fries,â I said. âAnd maybe weâll throw in a bucket of hashbrowns.â
Aunt Julie gave them our order, and in a few minutes, I was holding a bunch of hot food on my lap, which was in a bag.
As we drove back, we had a little heart-to-heart talk about home.
âWhat do you think your parents are up to now?â she asked.
âProbably the same old miserable life,â I said. âMom is probably getting put down like usual, with Rodmon not standing up for her.â
âWhat do you think they named your brother?â
That was a sore subject for me.
Even though Iâd never met my little brother, I desperately wanted to see him. To hold him and tell him that he had an older sister who loved him.
âNo idea,â I said, holding back tears as I held onto the food tighter. âHe would be five years old by now.â
âI know you want to see him. I do, too,â she said.
âItâs not safe for us to go back,â I said, letting out a heavy sigh. âBut I so wish I could see him.â
âI know sweetie.â
During the rest of the drive home, I contemplated what would have happened if I stayed there. My life would have been miserable. I would have ended up working forever as a housemaid at my familyâs home, taking in all the abuse. I would have probably been made to marry a beta and would have never gotten to experience being with these alphas.
The next day, I was ready for work and dressed to go while waiting for my ride.
Yesterday was a fun, relaxing day reading with my aunt and eating all the snacks from the gas station she worked in. I felt like I hadnât really worked ever since getting hired by the alphas, and yet I was making more money than I had ever had.
I was surprised to see Zaffâs car pull up on the side of the road where I usually waited for the limo. I could see the rest of his pack inside the car through the tinted windows. They were smiling at me, and Ruston got out of the car to open the back door for me.
âI need to sit next to her,â grunted Oscar.
âSheâll sit between us then,â said Ruston, and I smiled. Even though these alphas acted like macho men, they couldnât erase their competitive nature.
Chad was sitting up front on the passenger side, and Zaff was driving.
The car smelled like alphas and various cologne, which never seemed to hide their pure alpha scents, which was more addicting than any cologne Iâve ever smelled. Sitting between Ruston and Oscar had my heart beating wildly. Every breath I took sent my head spinning with desire. They both placed their hands on my thighs as I greeted Zaff and Chad with a quick kiss on the lips.
âWhereâs my kiss, babe?â said Oscar, and I turned to him. I couldnât wait to kiss him, and when our lips locked, he wrapped his hands around my head. We kissed passionately like we hadnât seen each other in so long, even though it had only been one day.
My eyes were closed as Oscarâs plump lips embraced mine. I could feel Rustonâs warm lips on my ear and collarbone while the car moved. I was in a different universe when multiple alphas loved me at the same time.
Oscarâs tongue teased between my lips, and I opened my mouth for him with a moan, feeling the tingling between my legs increase.
Rustonâs hand felt around my thighs as he kissed my shoulders. His hand cupped in between my legs.
âYour leggings are drenched. Right in the center,â said Ruston as I continued kissing Oscar and taking in his tongue as he tasted me.
âOh,â I moaned as Oscar kissed me harder.
âIâm going to stick a finger in just to check,â said Ruston, and I widened my legs lewdly for him while I sat between them. I suddenly heard honking next to us, and my eyes immediately snapped open. I pushed Oscarâs face away from mine.
I closed my legs and looked to see a bunch of men cackling at us from another car while we were all at a red light. They had seen me with Rustonâs hand between my legs.
âOh my god,â I groaned in embarrassment, looking away.
But Chad wasnât happy with them, and he immediately got out of the car in a fuming rage.
âNo, Chad!â I shouted, trying to leave the car to go after him, but Ruston and Oscar held me back. There was a tense silence as we all watched Chad approach the men in the other car.
He suddenly punched their window, which shattered into pieces onto the road, and I gasped.
âWhat the fuck?!â shouted one of the men as Chad wrapped his hand around one of their throats.
âStop him, oh my god,â I said, with a hand to my mouth in shock.
âGet him, Chad,â said Zaff under his breath.
âYou will never laugh at my girl again,â said Chad, squeezing the manâs throat until his face was starting to turn purple. The veins on his face were also prominent from the pressure. âI dare someone to laugh right now.â
The street lights turned green, and the cars around us were starting to honk.
I had never thought Chad could get so angry, especially on my behalf. I looked at him in a new light as he stormed back into the car after flinging the man over the others.
âGood job,â praised Zaff as Chad jumped into the car. We zoomed down the road in the opposite direction from the other vehicle.
âFuck them,â said Chad angrily as he stared at the road with a hard gaze.
I didnât know what to say to cover the tense silence as Ruston held me against his chest.
âThank you, Chad,â I said. âYouâ¦didnât have to.â
âI wanted to,â he said thinly. âThey will not make fun of you. No one will. Ever.â
I was surprised by the passion in his statement. He could barely spit out the words from how angry he was.
âAlright now, itâs Breeâs birthday, and weâll make it the best day she ever had,â said Zaff, trying to lighten the dark mood of the alphas around me.
âMy birthday is past,â I said quickly. âI can work today, no problem.â
âNo can do,â said Zaff, and I could see him grinning in the mirror. âWeâre going to have a fun day of going out to the movies, lunch, andâ¦Iâm sure you know what else.â
âYouâre going to receive lots and lots of knotting,â said Ruston in satisfaction as he rubbed my arm while Oscar touched my thighs.
The rest of the day was like a dream for me as I got to hang out with four alphas all to myself. Our time at the movies was a lot of fun when I sat between Zaff and Chad. Chad had felt bad for scaring me, so he got me an endless array of popcorn and candy, along with lots of kissing.
After the movies, Zaff made a reservation at one of his many chain restaurants, and we had a full four-course meal. The food was delicious, and by the time we left, I could barely breathe.
âYou look so full, baby,â said Oscar, holding me as we sat in the backseat once again as Zaff drove to their house.
âI am,â I said, and Zaff chuckled. âWeâre going to need some time before the âlots of knottingsâ begin.â
âWe know,â said Ruston, who lightly rubbed my full belly. âI canât wait to see you swollen with our child one day.â
âBut Zaff said it wasnât possible,â I said, closing my eyes as I felt him rub my belly in circles underneath the shirt I was wearing.
âHmm, nothingâs impossible,â muttered Ruston. âIf we mark you as ours, anything is possible.â
âWell, thatâs not happening,â I said as panic went through me. âRight?â
âOnly when youâre ready.â
We finally reached the house, and as I got out, I looked at the beautiful sunset outside. It had indeed been the best day of my life, and I realized with a deep sadness that it could be all over very soon.
âYouâre thinking about something,â said Zaff, coming around the car while holding the keys in his hands.
I touched the lapel of his suit, âI just donât want this to end. It seems too good to be true.â
He grasped my hand and kissed it while his eyes were on me.
âItâs not going to end sweetheart.â
I smiled, knowing otherwise in my heart.
This pack would end up finding an omega that would be theirs forever. Alphas werenât immune to an omega at all, and once they found her, they would keep her forever.
For now, I decided not to ruin the day and just have fun with the alphas. I was going to enjoy my birthday with them, no matter what, even though it would end up being a mere fleeting memory one day.
But it would be a good memory.
