Chapter 13: Chapter 13~ And you think she’s not Alpha

Falcon’s POV~

I am dreading this… not even gonna lie! This entire family nerve wracking in every way… But…here we stand..on the front steps of our pack house…awaiting their arrival..like the good little pack leaders we are.

As their vehicles approach, I ask “what is the second girl’s name again? And the Luna? Anyone remember the Beta’s name?” Brady asks “Whyyy do we do this every damn time they visit? Robert…his mate Lindsey..two daughters…Allison and Charlotte..Beta Pete…or Peter…” Anna giggles “Enthusiastic about this, huh?” Brady groans…and I’m thinking… I feel your pain bro! Pasting a fake smile on my face… I step forward…”Robert…good to see you again… Come in..come in” and everyone follows us.

Once everyone was inside the foyer, I introduced them….taking my time…emphasizing the word mate with each introduction..first Sabrina. Then Bonnie..and I pulled Anna close to me….”And this gorgeous woman is Annalise…my mate and Luna!” She smiled graciously and suggested we all follow her to the study for some before dinner cocktails.

When everyone was seated..Anna asked for drink requests.. I smiled and kissed her saying “You already know my preference.” Then she and Sabrina stepped to the drink tray and started preparing cocktails for everyone…right down to a white wine spritzer for Lindsey…and two sex on the beach for the tittering sisters….she passed the drinks around and sat beside me…handing me my scotch and sipping on hers. Small talk bantered around until…and I am not sure if it was the alcohol..or just stupidity…I’m leaning toward the latter..Allison spoke “That seems like a manly drink you have…or is it just to impress Falcon?” Othello chimes in 🐺and pop goes her head…gonna be good times! Anna smiles.. not the nice one…not the sweet one…a smile filled with malice “Allison? Is that your name? Well, Allison…I have purposely lived my life,…Never trying to impress anyone. I prefer scotch to cutesy little aperitif’s with umbrella garnishes. It’s honest. Straightforward…and no nonsense. Just like I am. That it’s my mate’s favorite as well…is just a happy surprise!” And Robert scolds “Allison..behave.. This will all be addressed later.” And Anna links me 🐺 what’s he gonna address? Her inability to hold mature conversation? And my scotch chokes me going down.

Within an hour, we showed them to their rooms..and dressed for dinner..with Anna complaining “Why do we have to dress for dinner? This is bullshit! Having to impress people we don’t even like…in our own home…and I am warning you…if that Charlotte person snarks at our Bonnie again…I can’t be held responsible if her head rolls on the floor! I’d just as soon be done with the preliminaries and snap necks! But that’s just me! And I’m not going to deliberately embarrass you…or our pack..but I’m not letting anyone insult our family!” I pull her into my arms and kiss her deeply…..and tell her “You be You! You never owe me an apology or an explanation for protecting our people!”

As we walk into the dining hall..everyone is seated, as per our tradition..and I see Allison sitting on my right, where Brady should be…and Charlotte seated beside Axel..with Bonnie down six seats on the opposite side…and Othello laughs 🐺 Ohhhh shit! Necks are gonna be snapping! Anna steps to her seat and looks around. She points to Brady “Come take your seat beside your mate! Allison…I am allowing for this bizarre turn of events that I can only put down to illiteracy on yours and your sister’s part… neither of you are seated where your place cards are…Axel…bring your mate to her rightful place at our table! She is my third…..and as such, her position is set in stone! Move Girls!” She waited for Brady to take his seat..and watched as Axel led Bonnie around the table…where Charlotte had yet to move…Anna leaned across the table…close to Charlotte’s face and said “Try me..One More Time!” and Charlotte jumped up…whining Daddyyy and Robert just clenched his jaw and said “Sit where your name is!”

Into the third course, where the only talking at the table was done by our girls…Robert spoke “ Falcon…I admit to being surprised. While I would like to congratulate you on finding your mate, I find myself reluctant to do so…she lacks decorum..etiquette… even manners! I am surprised you tolerate such insolence. You deserve a malleable mate…one to do your bidding..one of a proud Alpha lineage and would not humiliate you in front of guests”

I sit here….stunned…and before I could respond…my beautiful mate giggled..and that started my men snickering…and before I knew it…we were all laughing. This! These people! They are my family! And they make me damned proud! I stand and say “I believe we will all adjourn to our conference room to discuss the purpose of your visit. It seems some of us may be presumptuous and under the impression that your opinion of my Luna matters! Follow me!”

I took Anna’s hand in mine and we led the way…Anna requesting coffee and dessert served to us there. Walking in. Anna walked to the TV and shut it off..closing the laptops connected to it. I took my seat at the head of the table and pulled Anna into my lap. Robert asked if she didn’t have a seat of her own… I replied “Othello needs her calming influence at the moment…” After everyone had seated themselves I said “Speak…why have you requested this audience?” And Robert began his spiel

“I feel a need to revisit our alliance. My pack has been experiencing several random attacks. While we are not a small pack..we have taken a couple hard hits. I would like to request a loan of possibly 50 warriors. In exchange, my daughters have agreed to become mates..Allison..for you, of course…as she is an Alpha’s daughter and trained in the arts of a proper Luna since birth. And Charlotte…who has found herself enamored of your Gamma.” I feel so much heat through our bond and I know my tiny spirit wolf is about to blow… I slip my hand under her skirt…rubbing circles on her thigh. I sighed “I see….and since selling your daughters is no longer an option, what revisions have you come up with?”

And…Allison jumps up and says “That…That person is Not suitable for Luna! Unless you want to be embarrassed every day for the rest of your life! Where did she even come from? She is rude and ignorant…incapable of holding decent conversation… You took my virginity! And I was promised Luna!” I scoffed “I hardly took your virginity! You however cannot make the same claim! You came into MY room…and while being drunk is no excuse…I admittedly fucked you. Once! And I barely remember it but I wholeheartedly regret it! I never promised you anything! Much less Luna…and I will be Goddess damned if you can force me into anything!” Anna pulled my nose into her neck whispering breathe!

Then she spoke “Allison…disclosing that little tidbit of information..and we all know why you did it…you were hoping I would get pissed and walk out on my man..but…you see, I already knew…you on the other hand…exposed yourself for the whore you are! Now Robert…suppose you tell my mate how many other Alphas you have tried to pawn your sluts off on? And be truthful! We will find out! And what the real reason is that you are here. Because from where we’re sitting…you need us…a hell of a lot more than we need you!”

And I smirk “and you think she’s not Alpha! So start talking!”
