Eleanor's POV,One call it took for my happy life to crash down. Least of what I had expected.Everything happened in a trice.Hearing grandma's news got me into tears.Oh god! She was so sweet and loveable. Now Kylen is missing!Sam is anxious of not knowing what to do or where to find him.And the maids saying that Kylen imagined stuffs and took the false blame of his grandma's death.I myself couldn't process of what was happening anymore. "Ela.", Shawn gripped my shoulders, "He needs you the most right now."I remained still."It's only you who can find him.", he assured me, "Come on!"Rubbing my eyes, "Yes. I have to.""Now, get to the airport. I'll send you the flight details with the ticket."Nodding my head, I grabbed my jacket."Ela."I turned back, facing Shawn. He passed me a serious gaze, "Promise me that you are gonna be cautious."I'm afraid too of what state Kylen is in right now. What if the other side has popped up admist his agony?I smiled anyways, "I will be."Giving him a brief hug, I headed to LA.The funeral was arranged today itself. Sam and I were trying to locate Kylen in parallel.I recalled the fun conversations we had together when grandma's family was paying her the tributes.I too lost a valuable person.Hoped all time that Kylen would show up but he didn't. His phone remained off. Later, Sam and I visited his office, enquired about him in all the places he likes to go.We have kept a guy in guest house to inform us in case Kylen returned."You went missing! Now it's Kylen turn.", I hissed. How worried Kylen was when Sam had disappeared."What? I didn't.", Sam argued, "I was on a break, that's it. I was returning the next day.""Well, that's the point Sam! What if Kylen is on a break where he doesn't want to return at all?!"Damn it. I had just yelled at Sam. "I'm sorry.", I said lowly while Sam hugged me."It's okay. We will find him."Where can he be?A week passed by. Sam and I were tracking his account debits. But there were no online payments, or any withdrawal done. Sam said that Kylen had cash with him always. If he was on a murder spree, by now we would have heard the news. This was a slight relief. My appetite was gone, so was my sleep.Kat paused her wedding preparations. Everything sucked!Suddenly, I heard my door unlocking from outside.I jumped up seeing the door crack open.Wishing this was not one of my hallucinations again."KYLEN!!"He came inside with the door shutting behind. His eyes softened at me while I marched towards him.I ran my hands over his face and neck, confirming he was fine. He was really here.A sorrow smile touched his lips. All my concern got washed away by exasperation."Where the hell were you all this time?!""I'm sorry.", he whispered.I huffed a breath, stepping away. He was drunk. He knows he is not supposed to be high. Yet, the most alert man got into wrong thing."I wanted to be alone. I'm fine now, Nor.""I don't buy it!""How is Shawn? How is his dad?", Kylen walked casually, looking around."What?", I squeezed my eyes, seeing the topic swap."Haven't you observed a pattern?", he rose a brow at me."Shawn keeps appearing in your life.", his nose flared, "He is not doing it on purpose. Ask me why."I rolled my eyes.I knew where this was going. Typical move of Kylen pushing me away.Kylen waited for a moment, before stepping closer to me, "Love finds its way back only if it's yours, Ms. WrongBride."He stressed each word equally.A bitter smirk plastered on his face, "In your case, it has definitely."It took me a couple of seconds to register his words."Ridiculous.", I clenched my teeth, "You are revolting, Kylen. And I'm not falling in your crappy trap.""You definitely are in denial.", he let out a humourless laugh."It's you. Not me.", I said clenching my teeth, "Your grandma is dead! She is not coming back to console you!""Gosh!", Kylen clapped his hands together, "I'm alright. How do I prove it to you?""No. You don't have to prove it to me.", I triggered him, "Don't you remember? You didn't even attend her funeral! You lost the chance of seeing het for the last time."Kylen drifted his gaze to the floor. His breath sharp and intense."What do you want me to do? Weep all nights that I lost my favorite human? Lock myself up and curse this universe for ruining me over and over?", Kylen grabbed me by my shoulders."I couldn't bid a bye to her, Nor.", his nose stiffened up, "She seemed tired and I thought she would be fine after a nap."He sniffed before dropping himself on the sofa, with locked hands."I should have taken her to the clinic. She died in my presence!"I sat beside him, "It's not your fault, Kylen.""How do I accept that, Eleanor? My mind is constantly twisting up everything and blaming me! Her death bought back mom's memories.", Kylen placed his head on my lap, "Other than Sam, grams was the only one whom I considered my family. Dad is way too practical, and he might barely cry when I die. He has Sam as his backup, afterall."I brushed his hair, kissing his head while he vent out everything that had piled up in his heart. He eventually shut his eyes, breathing normally. His drained face twitched. How much ever I wanted his life, our lives to be normal, life wasn't allowing to pave a straight way.I looked back at Kylen dozing off...'I get the instincts of slaughtering people beside me when I'm asleep.'
