While we looked around the pet store, I saw the cutest pet ever and it was a female hamster.

"Do you find anything you like?" Adam asked.

"Yeah this hamster that's so adorable, but I don't think I can have her?" I sighed.

"Why don't you ask your dad?" He suggested.

"Fine, but I bet he'll say no," I sighed and called my dad, hoping for the best.

While the phone rang, Adam looked around at the golden retrievers that they had. After some time of waiting, he finally answered my call.

"Hey Katherine, what's up?" He asked.

"Hey dad, I'm at PetSmart with Adam and I found the cutest pet ever." I smiled.

"That's nice..." He lingered on already knowing where this conversation was going.

"So..I found a hamster and I wanted to know if I could buy it..." I replied, getting more nervous as the seconds passed.

"But you never own a pet before, so how would I know you'll take care of the hamster well," He replied.

"I know, but I promise I'll take good care of it," I responded as he thought for a moment.

"Fine, but make sure you take good care of it," Dad sighed.

"Yes I will! Thanks dad and I'll talk to you later," I squealed.

"Bye." He ended the call and I placed my phone back inside my coat pocket.

"What did your dad say?" Adam asked.

"He said yes, and I plan on naming her Cookie since is so cute," I smiled and he smiled back at me.

"Do you see anything you like?" A guy suddenly said, while he was walking towards us. I looked at his named tag and read that his name was Jeff.

"Finally, you're someone that has a normal name." I mumbled underneath my breath.

"What was that?" Jeff asked.

"You have a normal name since some people I've met had odd names, "He then gave me a questioned look and wondered where this conversation was going, "but anyways, I would like to buy this hamster. How much does it cost?" I asked.

"The female fancy bear hamster will cost thirty dollars," He said, while he checked the price tag, "but to add in her other needed things, it might end up being like hundred dollars." He looked at me.

"That's fine." I nodded my head.

"Alright follow me, so I can help you fix up the things you need," He nodded his head.

"Okay," I followed behind him and looked around the hamster stuff section.

After I paid for my things, Adam met me at the registered line and I saw that he held his puppy. I thought it was adorable even while it slept.

I placed Cookie inside her cage since it was important for me to do so and I wanted for her to be comfortable.

I couldn't wait to pimp out her cage with all the cool stuff I brought. I knew she was just a pet, but it still would be cool to decorate her cage.

After a while later, we eventually arrived at Adam's house. The house was indeed Elizabethan, with wooden panels along the corridors, ornate chandeliers, and oil paintings of old bearded men in tunics and ruffs.

The stairs led down into a tall galleried room with a rug spread out over flagstones and a fireplace big enough to park a car in. A long polished wooden table had been set for three.

"Wow you have nice place," I looked around, admiring his place.

"Psshh its nothing," He replied as we finally got to his room.

When I stepped inside, even his room was like a perfect magazine cover. The couch was cream but inlaid with a fine green silk; leaves embroidered so delicately that they might have landed there in spring and just sunk in.

The white curtains were linen, and his room filled with typical stuff like a television, bookshelf, and a dresser. The floor was high polished wood, dark and free of either dust or clutter.

I then placed Cookie on his desk, watching her play around a bit before she fell asleep.

"What did you name him?" I asked, when I looked back at Adam as he fixed the puppy's bed that was a sand cream color.

"Buddy." He smiled.

"Seriously? Like after the movies series called, Air Bud." I raised one of my eyebrows.

"Um, that's one of my favorite movies and it never gets old." He smirked.

"Ah yeah, and same goes for the old shows of Disney such as, Kim Possible, Lilo and Stitch, The Proud Family, and there's so many more shows ." I sighed. Why did Disney have to cancel the good shows? I thought.

"I agree," He laughed, "now there isn't any good shows to watch these days, and one of the reasons is that the networks programs a lot of Reality T.V. shows. The funny thing is that cable bills are still increasing, while they give us crappy shows to watch and for what really?" He shook his head.

"Yeah and the only thing left that's still good to watch are movies." I smiled.

"Hey, do you want to watch We're the Millers?" He asked, suddenly.

"Yes, I love that movie." I flopped down on his bed.

"I hope you don't mind that we watch it on my laptop." He said.

"It came out on Blu-ray already?" I asked.

"Ugh no, I know a website where we could watch it for free. I don't mind us going to the movies, but right now I don't feel like doing so." He shrugged his shoulders.

"I understand, I'm in lazy mode too." I nodded my head, while he sat on his bed. We both then rested in a more comfortable position and watched the movie.
