Chapter 5
Giselle Cassel was so angry that her blood all over her body rushed to her head. She shook her body and fell to the ground. Seeing this, Brandon was shocked and reached out his hand to touch his trembling mother. He tightly held Giselle Casselâs hand. After a long time, Giselle Cassel woke up and looked in the direction where the door was. She raised her hand and slapped him across the face, shouting angrily, âIf you divorce, Iâll die.â
If Giselle Cassel agreed to let Winnieâs ashes into the house. It meant that she was defeated by another Terri White.
Brandon looked calm, but his heart was burning.
He said helplessly,âMom, I canât betray Winnie. Two years ago, when she was seriously ill and went to Ireland, I promised her that I would welcome her into our house in two years.â
âAre you blind or are you out of your mind?â
Giselle Casselâs face turned pale with anger. She was afraid that her blood pressure would rise again and she would faint. She tried her best to suppress her anger and sincerely persuaded her son:âThe person who can spend the rest of your life with you is Savanna. Trust me.â
She held his hand and said gently,âSavanna is a good girl. She deserves your love.â
After sending the angry Giselle Cassel away, he cleaned up the ashes on the ground in person. In a towering rage, he went upstairs and found Savanna, who was sitting by the dressing table and doing her hair:âHow did mom know Iâm back today?â
Her face turned pale and her hand holding the comb tightened. Her fingertips were poked by the comb teeth, and blood dripped from them.
âDo you think I told mom?â
âExcept you, itâs hard for me to think of the second person, Savannaâ¦â
Savanna was so angry that she couldnât even hold the comb in her hand.
She opened her mouth and wanted to cry for herself, but the man had left angrily.
Looking at the slamming door, Tears welled up in her eyes, one drop after another, as transparent as pearls. She broke the comb teeth one by one,
Brandon went back to his room. He couldnât hold back his anger for a long time. When he saw a parcel sent by leo, his face turned blue. Leo didnât dare to stay and run away for a long time,
Brandon opened the package and took out a recorder pen from the package. He pressed the switch of the recorder peli with his long finger, and a familiar soft voice immediately sounded in the
âThe doctor said that it was caused by bone marrow mutation. Brandon, you said you would welcome me to your house, but I canât wait until that dayâ¦â
âBrandon, from the moment I decided to give you the kidney, we have already been congenial, even more intimate than family members. I lost a kidney, and I always feel the pain of knife tearing in rainy days. This is a souvenir you left to me. I⦠I donât regretâ¦â
The womanâs coughing in the recorder made his face pale. He clenched his fists and his deep black eyes turned bloody red.
âIâm afraid I canât wait for you any longer, Brandonâ¦â
âBrandon, âWinnieâs voice turned into surprise:âIâm so afraid that I canât get out of the operating room. I didnât expect you to come here to accompany me. Iâm so happy, letâs drink some champagne.â
âBrandon, I didnât see you after the operation. Where have you been? You promised me that I would see you when I woke up after the operation!â
She was so helpless and anxious that she seemed to be about to cry.
The voice in the recorder was cut off. No matter how many times Brandon tossed and turned, she couldnât leave one more word for him.
âWinnie.â
Brandon gripped the recorder pen so hard that his knuckles turned white.
A strong sense of powerlessness filled his limbs.
His tall body leaned against the wall. The corners of his mouth were pale, and his eyes were empty. As soon as he closed his eyes, what appeared in front of him was all tears and sorrowful looks of Winnie.
What Winnie had said to him before entering the operating room was all ringing in his ears: âBrandon, wait for me. When I wake up, I must see you.â
Before entering the operating room, she snuggled up in Brandonâs arms and acted like a spoiled child
âSure.â
Brandon promised,
Giselle Casselâs phone rang one after another. She kept calling him.
Giselle Cassel even threatened that if he didnât come back at once she would suicide.
In the end, he left Winnie behind and returned home overnight. That night, Winnie was gone.

Brandon felt guilty and painful. He would never forgive himself for his ruthlessness, and he became more resented the selfishness of Savanna.
He wanted to torture her and let her experience the pain that he felt.
He put down the recorder pen and angrily went into the bedroom. Before Brandon opened his mouth, the poker faced Savanna stood up from the dressing table, took out the divorce agreement from the drawer and handed it to him:âIâve signed it.â
Brandon took over the divorce agreement.
He shook his head and suddenly felt that the thin piece of paper in his hand was as heavy as stone.
He closed his eyes in pain and slightly moved his thin lips:âSavanna, Iâve changed my mind. I donât want to divorce.â
âWhy?â
Asked Savanna, clenching her fists.
Staring at Savanna coldly, Brandon said word by word, âYou made Winnie unable to see me even on her deathbed. How could you want to leave after making a mess of it? Do you think I will let you go so easily?â
âWhat do you want?âShe asked in a trembling voice.
âI will make your life a living hell.â
As soon as the manâs words came out, she burst into laughter, with tears rolling out of her eyes.
The man she loved most wanted her to die.
She would rather die than live.
The tearing pain spread all over her body. The smile on her face froze. She roared hysterically at Brandon:âBrandon, you can divorce me as you like. Do you think you are the God who controls other peopleâs fate?â
âI never regret doing anything in my life, but I regret marrying you.â
After shouting, she dragged the big suitcase at the door and rushed downstairs angrily.
Brandon maintained his original posture. He wanted to rush out to stop her, but he was annoyed by her trick
The divorce agreement was distorted in his palm.
Savanna stumbled out of the garden. Leo drove over and tried to grab the suitcase from her hand, but she pushed it away,âFuck off!â
