It had been a long time since Stella went to a shopping mall. But she never had nothing new to wear, because Clarence would regularly order someone to swap out her clothes in the closet with new ones and got her clothes with the latest fashion trend.
That was why she didnât shop for herself too often unless it was something she really liked. She would normally buy stuff for him instead.
Sherry sneered at what she heard, âYou are telling me this on purpose to make me angry, arenât you?â
Stella laughed upon hearing her, âOh right, isnât your birthday coming up in 2 weeks? What do you want? Iâll buy you anything.â
âI want a boyfriend.â
Stella was speechless.
She said seriously, âForget that I asked.â
Stella sat on the sofa and looked outside, they were many couples hand in hand. She sighed, âWhy does it seem so easy for other people to date?
Did I do something wrong to the god of love? Iâve only met fuckboys and none of them is normal.â
She then said, âAnd my mom is absurd. She kept phoning me recently and wanted me to go on arranged marriage interviews.â
Stella was shocked, âArranged marriage interviews?â
âYeah, she said itâs her classmateâs son or whatsoever. He is working at state company, has a stable job and is an honest person. His parentsâ
background is known through and through, so he wonât be an asshole like Liam.â
âSo, are you going?â
Stella sighed again, âI donât want to. But my mom said if I donât go, I donât welcome at home anymore.â
She paused briefly and said, âBut well, this person is suitable for marriage. You rest assure and lead a stable life, but I... I donât want marriage to be like a business, I donât want marriage without love. I might as well find a roommate.â
Stella nodded, âWell, your mother is just worried about you. Try to talk to her nicely when you get home.â
âI donât want to talk about it anymore. My head hurts every time she nags. Iâll just go on the weekend and come up with an excuse to reject him. That way I can tell my mom that Iâve tried.â
âThat sounds good too.â
They walked for a while and Stellaâs phone rang. It was Daniel. She walked to the side to answer the call.
Danielâs voice could be heard, âMs. Radomil, the autopsy report is out.â
Stella gripped her phone subconsciously, âWhat does it say?â
âIâm not sure about the details. I need you to come with me, Ms. Radomil. When weâre there, the forensics will tell us more,â said Daniel, âWhere are you? Iâll come to get you.â
Stella said, âSend me the address. Iâm outside, Iâll head over on my own.â
Daniel replied, âOkay.â
Daniel sent her the address soon after they hung up their call.
Stella put away her phone and walked towards Sherry, âSherry, something came up. I need to go somewhere.â
Sherry was drinking her milk tea, she asked, âWhat happened?â
Stella pursed her lips, âMy motherâs autopsy report is out.â
Sherry stood up suddenly, âShould I come with you?â
âYeah, well... Daniel is there too, do you still want to come with me?â
Sherry remained quiet for a bit and laughed dryly, âYup, Iâll go with you. Iâm not there to see him anyways, Iâll just ignore him.â
Sherry was curious about this. Stella would probably faint like last time.
Stella didnât say anything to reject her, seeing that Sherry was already determined to go. They got in the car and told the driver the address that Daniel sent her.
The ride lasted around half an hour.
Stella said, âAlisa, wait here for a bit. Weâll be out again soon.â
Alisa nodded, âYes, madam. Please go attend to your business.â
Daniel was already waiting at the entrance.
Emmett was also there with him.
Stella and Sherry walked over, Emmett asked, âStella, did you tell Chan?â
âHeâs in class, thatâs why I didnât call him. And we donât know whatâs the outcome yet. Iâll... tell him later.â
In her memory, her mother died giving birth to Chan. But for some reason, many things happened, and she thought that her motherâs death wasnât that simple.
That was why, before she knew concrete details about what happened, she shouldnât say anything to Chan.
Daniel said, âLetâs go in.â
They got to the appraisal center and someone quickly brought them in. The forensic doctor was already waiting.
They looked at them and asked, âAre you the personâs family member?â
Stella answered softly, âI am.â
The forensic doctor took out a document, âWe found out the cause of death. The victim as died from a blunt force on the skull.â
Stella was taken aback upon hearing it, she repeated what the doctor said, âBlunt force on the skull?â
The doctor nodded as they placed the document in front of her, âThis is the report, you can have a look.â
Stella frowned as she picked up the document and read it.
The doctor said, âWhen the victim was sent here, the message we received was that she died from delivery complications. I checked thoroughly, it was complicated because there were only the bones left. But I am certain that she didnât die from delivery complications. There was an obvious wound on her skull and that was the cause of death.â
Stella lowered her eyes and bit her lips. No one knew what was going through her mind right now.
Daniel took the document from her hand and put it on the table, âSo, in other words, she was killed.â
The forensic doctor nodded, âYes indeed. The blunt force trauma was on the back of the victimâs head. The victim and the killer were most probably fighting, and she was probably pushed and her head hit against the wall. She didnât get sent to the hospital in time and couldnât be saved in time.â
Even Stellaâs eyelashes were trembling. She slowly closed her eyes.

An Eight-year-old Princess ï¤Chapter 1410 Go And Return Quickly The truth was out, it wasnât a pregnancy-related death. Jeffrey was lying.
It was him, who killed her mother.
And he hid the body in the wall.
Maybe he was scared, maybe he felt guilty...
He didnât want people to know; hence he brought her and Chan up by himself.
But after a while, he showed his true colors.
Stella suddenly felt grateful that she and Chan were still alive today, even though they were brought up by Jeffrey.
Sherry noticed that Stella didnât look too well, she went up and held her, âStella, are you okay?â
Stella opened her eyes, shook her head and said, âIâm fine.â
Sherry knew that Stellaâs face was much paler than before, she couldnât be fine. Sherry looked at the forensic doctor and said, âIs there anything else we need to do? Otherwise, we will take our leave.â
The doctor took out an inspection checklist and said, âJust sign here and you can go.â
Stella took the pen and signed her name.
Emmett said, âLeave the rest to me, Stella. Go home and rest.â
Stella put down the pen and said, âDonât worry, I donât have any memories of my mother. But...â
She was sobbing, she calmed herself down and continued saying, âI wanted to send her off for her final journey.â
