Aurora looked at him. âArenât you going to explain everything to her?â
Tyler picked up the cigarette lying on the coffee table, and with an audible click, casually lit it with a
lighter.
White smoke trailed along his slender fingertips, rising gently.
Aurora had long lost any romantic thoughts about the man in front of her, but seeing his action of
lighting the cigarette, she was still impressed by how charming she was.
However, she preferred normal men. Abnormal individuals, however good-looking they were, were
people that she struggled to deal with, and Tyler was one of them.
Tyler showed no signs of panic or anxiety as he calmly said,â She will come back.â
The smoke clouded his face, making him appear mysterious and inscrutable.
Aurora knew that Tyler had his own reliance, so she sighed softly.
It was a matter between Vicky and Tyler. As an outsider, Aurora did not have the right to say much.

The night was dark, and Vicky wandered aimlessly on the street.

Vicky hailed a taxi and informed the driver, âGo to the Harrisonsâ house.â

favored by Elijahâs parents and grandmother.
All the servants in the Harrisonsâ household unanimously believed that Vicky was the future mistress of

Upon entering the house, Vicky asked, âIs Grandma asleep?â
The security guard replied, âNot yet. Mister and Missus Harrisons and Mister Elijah are here today to
visit her, and they havenât left yet.â
Vicky froze at the realization that Elijah and his parents were there as well.
The guard assumed that Vicky was here for the gathering and was only late, so he said, âPlease hurry
inside, Miss Shaw.â
Vicky nodded.
After what happened to the Harrisons, Vicky had already talked to Elijah on the phone before and had
not had time to visit Old Madam Harrisons, so she had been wondering how Old Madam Harrisons was
doing.
The silvery moonlight cast a gentle glow upon the earth and Vickyâs shadow stretched under the light.
