Chapter 5: Chapter 5: I'm gonna go

The little girl ran through the forest looking lost.

“Mommy! Daddy!” she cried tears pooling in her blue eyes.

“Where are you?” she yelled, causing 4 rogue wolves to step out into the open.

“Who are you? Do you know where my mommy and daddy is?” the little girl asked innocently but the rogues just growled in response looking at their new target. They wolves started approaching her, cornering the scared little girl.

“G-g-go a-away” the little girl said trembling in fear, but the rogues snarled at her.

One wolf lunged forward ready to attacked and the little girl closed her eyes bracing herself for the impact. But to her amazement the rouge didn't touch her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a white field surrounding her. As the rogues stepped forward the shield would shock them, causing them to jump back. Soon enough they gave up and left the little girl alone. After they were gone she collapsed to the ground sobbing uncontrollably because she knew she wouldn't see her parents again. Then, she realized she should've let the rogues kill her…

That girl was me.

I jolted awake covered in cold sweat, panting heavily. That wasn’t an actual memory, why had I dreamt it? Perhaps it was a sign. A sign that I should go see my parents. My real parents. Or maybe it was a sign that I shouldn't go see them. But, that power I had in the dream, was that real? I couldn't even tell reality from fantasy anymore, jeez I have problems. Well, the seer did tell the rogues, 16 years ago that the white wolf possessed power….so maybe that was one of those powers. It’s possible, right? I couldn't over think this, I needed to tend to more pressing matters, like getting ready for school for instance. I sprang out of bed trying to forget the dream I just had. I stripped and stepped into the shower, soaped myself up, washed away the soap and dried myself. Then I walked to my closet searching for something to wear. I pulled out a long sleeved dress with a floral pattern. I quickly slipped it on and liked the feel of the soft fabric on my skin. It was a bit shorter then I would like it to be but, I was way to lazy to change it now. I applied some powder and lipgloss, then ran downstairs.

“Hey, mom” I greeted

“Good morning honey, you seem awfully chipper for someone who just discovered their whole 16 years of living was a lie.” she said looking at me weirdly

“I mean, it’s not like you didn't have a reason” I shrugged. I wasnt going to act like those non-understanding teenagers who would probably run away from home if this happened to them.

“Dad” I nodded my head at him as a greeting

“Av” he smiled and nodded back then turned back to his normal morning newspaper

“What’s on the menu today mom?” Parker asked as he strolled into the kitchen but then stopped when his eyes landed on me.

“Avery, I suggest you change right now before I fuck you right now” he growled as his eye became black filled with lust and I gulped.

“PARKER! HAVE SOME DECENCY!” my mom scolded while my dad just looked amused

“AVERY NOW!” Parker growled

“With you dressed like that all the unmated wolves will be looking at you!” Parker growled angrily, his eyes becoming darker as he became more angrier.

“NO WAY! That’s too much work!” I said  and Parker gritted his teeth. I raised my eyebrows challenging him to say anything else.

“Fine. But if anyone looks at you, I’m killing them” he said in a surrendering but deadly tone.

“Suuuure” I drawled and he pursed his lips before taking a seat at the table.

“That’s how easily you gave in?” dad said to Parker shaking his head and Parker glared

“Like you're better with mom” Parker scoffed

“Girl power!” my mom yelled and I laughed watching as my dad started grumbling under his breath and Parker rolling his eyes.

“I made omelets!” my mom suddenly announced and Parker, dad and I cheered

“But first you guys gotta eat the cottage cheese and blueberries” she said and placed a huge bowl of lumpy cottage cheese with some blueberries on top of it, right in front of us. Our cheers suddenly turned into groans. Aw, man!

“HEY! WHAT THE HELL!?” I heard Parker yell from behind me so, I turned around.

“What?” I asked confused when he finally caught up to me

“I’m your boyfriend so, I have to drive you to school” Parker said in a ‘duh’ voice causing me to raise my eyebrows and cross my arms.

“Number 1. Did you even break up with Lindsay yet?” I asked

“Well...no. but-” he started and I cut him off

“And when did I even say yes to being your girlfriend?” I said and turned my ear towards him for emphasizes

“OH! That’s right! NEVER!” I said and started walking but he ran up to where I was and started walking besides me.

“What are you doing?” I questioned as I stopped walking and looked at him

“Walking to school” Parker shrugged and my eye began to twitch. I mean, I like him and all but I didn't want him to do anything in school, that would give people the impression we were more than brother and sister. I mean, no one would understand because they don't know that we weren't really related. They would just think that we were siblings, that were dating!

“Why?” I said

“Because I felt like it” he said nonchalantly

“HEY! AVERY!” I heard a female voice yell. Shit! I forgot about Sacrlett and Nathan. Everyday I walk to school usually meet them halfway through the walk. Aw man, but Parker’s here. Scarlett ran to me and Nathan came out of their house a few seconds later.

“Hey” Nathan smiled and Parker let out a small growl. I smiled back and discreetly jabbed Parker in the stomach with my elbow.

“AH, SHIT!” Parker yelled surprise and looked at me

“What?” I asked innocently and he silently glared

“Who are you?” Scarlett asked looking at Parker curiously

“Avery’s boy-” he started but I slapped my hand over his mouth

“Brother. My brother” I said with a nervous smile and removed my hand from Parker’s mouth

“Brother?” Scarlett said and looked between us

“Yep! Fraternal twins” I chuckled nervously

“Really? You don't look alike?” Nathan said tilting his head to the side with a frown.

“Well, we better get going if we don't want to be late!” I said quickly and started walking faster. After 5 minutes, Nathan and Scarlett was walking in front of Parker and I.

“Why did you say that?” Parker whispered

“Say what?” I asked acting as if I didn't know

“That I was your brother” Parker grunted out

“Because. That’s what the rest of the school thinks. They wouldn't understand if we started dating.” I sighed

“Who cares?” Parker shrugged

“I’m their future Alpha, they cant say or do anything” Parker said and we stopped in front of the school

“I care what other people think of me, Parker” I said and shook my head sadly

“I’m sorry but, until you figure out a way to solve this you can't be my boyfriend” I said and walked away feeling the weight of a ton of bricks in my chest. I really hope he does find a way because the mate bond is too strong for me to stay away form too long.

I walked to my locker seeing my Scar, Nate, Meg, Madds, and Hunty already there.

“Hey guys!” I said and they greeted me with a series of ‘hellos’

“So, apparently Nathan and I have to go do something that all the new students have to do. See you later!” Scarlett said and waved before pulling Nathan with her.

“So….guys. I have some stuff to tell you.” I said slowly and all of them perked up

“Well! What is it?!” Meg asked excitedly and I looked around. Werewolves were surrounding us, with werewolf hearing, they would be able to hear our conversation.

“Lets go somewhere more private” I suggested and walked towards the photography room. I opened the door and it was indeed empty.

“In here guys!” I said and walked in. Meg, Madds, and Hunter followed soon after. Then I dove into the story, explaining all that happened yesterday. About my parents, about Parker being my mate and my dream. I tell my friends everything, in case you haven't noticed.

"Wait. WHAT?" Meghan yelled while Maddison and Hunter were still gaping at me

"You heard me." I stated simply

"I'm confused." Hunter said with furrowed eyebrows

"What are you confused on? The part where she said that Alpha Ronald and Luna Savannah are not her real parents? Or, the part where she said Parker, her former brother is her mate? Oh! Or, the part where she had the superpower dream?" Maddison said with a raised eyebrow

"Everything" Hunter said looking lost and I rolled my eyes

"Ok. Let's do this again." I heaved and started over explaining every single thing in a baby voice.

“Understand now?” I asked and they all nodded in shock

“Wow” Hunter breathed out

“Such a dramatic life” Meg said

“Yeah, if this was a show I would watch it” she laughed

“Wait...so are you making your relationship with Parker public?” Meg said and I shook my head.

“No. It’s too complicated. Everyone besides you guys, Parker, me, and my parents thinks Parker and I are siblings. I told him, if he could fix that problem then I would make it public” I said

“So demanding” Madds said and shook her head

“I know” I said and entertained a small smile.

“Do you think that you might actually have powers?” Madds asked with wide eyes

“I don't really know. I actually don't know anything about white wolves” I said in realization

“Wow” Meg said and slowly clapped while I glared

“Maybe you can find some stuff out?” Hunter suggested

“From where or who?” I asked

“Alex” Meg stated simply and my eyes widened. He was a werewolf that was said to have knowledge of any and every thing.

“Do you even know where to find him?” I asked them

“Yeah. He’s in the Blue Moon pack” Madds stated

“Isn't he like really old?” I said with a grimace

“No! I think he is our age..” Meg said

“Oh. Well ok.” I nodded

“Wait a second….are you gonna go? I mean, ya know to visit your real parents because their in the blue moon pack and Alex’s in the Blue Moon pack so…….?” Hunter trailed off curiously

“I don't know” I said with furrowed eyebrows

“Actually...I do know!” I said after thinking independently

“I am gonna go. But you're all coming with me” I finalized.
