The wedding became livelier once the media arrived.

Zachariah arrived late, casually making his way through the crowd. He spotted Calvin, who stood out in his brightly colored suit.

“What’s happening? This liveliness isn’t Dex’s style.”

Calvin crossed his arms and pondered, “I think he never took this wedding seriously from the start.”

He doesn’t even consider this a real wedding.

Zachariah patted his shoulder and headed backstage. In the specially prepared room, Dexter sat in the main seat, listening to Seth’s report. When he saw Zachariah, he raised an eyebrow.

Zachariah said, “Dex, Russell Group’s stocks have hit rock bottom. Once this wedding proceeds, all our problems will be solved.”

There would be no more difficulties.

Dexter’s ambition to expand his territory was about to be realized.

Upon hearing this, Seth, who stood nearby, added, “That’s great. Mr. Harrison’s plan to acquire shares will fail.”

Dexter didn’t show joy. Instead, he furrowed his brows as if deep in thought.

Seth and Zachariah exchanged glances. “Mr. Russell… seems upset.”

Dexter didn’t display any emotions. He raised his hand to pinch the bridge of his nose and said, “We’ll see.”

His ambiguous response raised concerns in Seth’s mind.

Outside the room, Claudia happened to pass by. She walked briskly, clutching her phone.

“You lost them? How could you lose them? Didn’t I tell you to keep watch?”

“The opponent is too strong. We can’t match them, Mrs. Olsen!”

“Who are they?”

Claudia was already confused after learning that the person escorting Ruby she couldn’t believe they had lost them.

“When we crossed paths, I saw a name embroidered on their clothes: Russell.”

Claudia immediately stopped in her tracks. “What did you say?”

“It’s spelled R-U-S-S-E-L-L.”

Claudia’s mind was instantly filled with chaos.

Is this Dexter’s doing? What is he up to? Her thoughts were a jumbled mess, and she couldn’t make sense of it all for a while.

“What should we do now, Mrs. Olsen?”

“Retreat. You can’t defeat Dexter’s men.”

After hanging up the phone, Claudia leaned against the wall, trying to make sense of everything.

When she noticed something strange about Heather, she had someone investigate her past experiences. Strangely enough, all her experiences had been completely rewritten since high school, and there was no trace of her past.

She then hired a detective to look into her university records and discovered that she had once used an alias, Rachel Strauss.

After extensive research, she found out more about her and her former friend, Ruby.

That day, when Claudia found out she had arrived in Wavery, she thought it was odd. Even more coincidentally, she encountered Josie in the same place.

Did Josie meet Ruby that day? Why did she meet Ruby, and what did she discover? Why is Ruby with her younger brother now? What are they planning? And now Dexter is involved…

Claudia stood still, her heart filled with emotions. She had an unsettling premonition, but she didn’t know how to confront it.

After composing herself for a moment, she picked up her phone again and dialed the landline number of the Olsen family.

The housekeeper answered the call. “Mrs. Olsen?”

“Put Mr. Olsen on the phone.”

“Please wait a moment.” The housekeeper left and returned after a while. “Mrs. Olsen, you may have to wait. Mr. Olsen is not here. He’s neither in the study nor in the bedroom. I’m searching for him!”

“What do you mean he’s not here? Where is he then?” Claudia shouted.
