Chapter 914 Death Of Biological Parents âWho told you?â Claudia questioned.
Summer remained silent, just smoking.
âEven so, ask yourself, havenât we treated you like our own daughter? From childhood to adulthood, in terms of clothing, food, housing, and transportation, where have we ever let you lack?â Claudia said to her, feeling heartbroken. âItâs not like we havenât given you anything, Sum!â
âItâs better to have none at all!â Summer roared. âWhat youâve given me is nothing more than convenient benefits, not true affection!â
She asked with a trembling voice, âWho are my parents?â
Claudia didnât respond but directly grabbed her hand and pulled her up. âIâm taking you to the drug rehabilitation center.â
âI wonât go!â Summerâs pupils dilated. âDo you really want the whole world to know that the daughter of the Olsen family is such a person?â
Claudiaâs originally stubborn actions slowed down at that moment. She hesitated.
Summer, understanding her state of mind, continued to ask, âWho are my parents?â
Claudia had her back to her, took a deep breath, and said, âTheyâre dead.â
A long silence ensued. Just as Josie was about to look up, Summer suddenly grabbed a cup and fiercely smashed it against the wall, creating a loud shattering noise.
In the end, the commotion there managed to disturb Arnold.
He received a message and hurriedly threw on a robe, his steps in disarray. âMotherââ
Just as Josie was getting up, he brushed past him.
From inside came a faint commotion. It was Claudia raising her hand once again, slapping Arnold. âI entrusted my daughter to you, and this is what you teach her!â
Josie didnât look back. She lowered her head and quickly walked away. Only when she was outside did she remove her mask, taking a deep breath.
She could have never imagined that Summer and Zach were not actually biological children of the Olsen family and that she was the only true descendant of the Olsen family.
Josie was in a daze, stumbling to find a corner to calm herself. The overwhelming amount of information left her unable to regain her composure. No wonder. No wonder Iâve never had any so-
called spiritual connection with Summer. It turns out weâre not related by blood.
Her phone vibrated. Arnold sent her a message: Stay where you are and wait for me.
He knew, and he probably guessed it too.
Josie would never let him boss her around. She left the club directly, only to run into Scar again. This time, he brought some people with him, and his attitude was not as pleasant as it had been at the hospital. âJosie, you cannot leave.â
Josie pursed her lips. âWhy?â
âOur boss has given us the command, so we cannot disobey.â
Josie hung her head, realizing she couldnât escape this situation. She turned around. âI can at least use the restroom, right?â
Scarface remained silent, signaling a female attendant to accompany her.
Josie entered the restroom. The attendant followed closely behind. She frowned, âDo you plan to watch me use the bathroom?â
The attendant looked troubled, stepping back. âIâll wait for you outside.â
Josie closed the door and immediately took out the contents from her bag. Then, with a forceful motion, she opened the toilet tank. She placed the documents, which were in a transparent bag, inside the toilet tank, and then promptly closed the lid.
She emerged, and only when the attendant saw that she was unharmed did she feel relieved.
Josie followed her out the door, pondering how to deal with Arnold. However, just at that moment, a person suddenly sprang out from the corner, striking the female attendantâs neck with a hand chop.
She fainted on the spot.
Josie furrowed her brows as the person turned around. âMs. Jo.â
âMoses?â she exclaimed in surprise.
âMr. Russell has received the message.â He spoke succinctly, tossing her a set of clothes. âPut these on. Letâs go.â
Josie pressed her lips together. She had no choice but to accept under the circumstances.
Once she had changed, Moses also switched into an attendantâs attire. Silently, he led her to leave through the back door while avoiding Scar.
