Greeting Gift
The Empress, contrary to what one would expect, held a graceful and poised face. It was unclear as to what she was feeling right now.
âThird WangFei, please donât be anxious. When you are at my place, act like you are in the third WangFu. You can do whatever you want.â
Once Qian DuoDuo heard the words, she looked at the Empress with uncertainty. She seemed to not be angry, still holding a faint smile on.
Qian DuoDuo was able to look through the Empressâs thoughts. She then leaned against the chair, in a twisted position. A pair of slender long legs proudly placed itself on the handrail of the chair, carelessly shaking it.
Then, she took a banana and peeled off the skin, biting off half of it. She opened her mouth, with her words unclear: âThe Empress should have said this earlier. This led me to be anxious for quite a while. However, I have become accustomed to being lazy and Long YuTian was too lazy to look after me. Does the Empress mind?â
The Empress stared at Qian DuoDuo for a while then opened her mouth in a gentle tone: âOf course not. Well, I think that the third WangFei is quite cute and unique. Iâm not sure why but whenever I see you, I think that youâre familiar as though my daughter.â
PuâThis Empressâs mouth is rather sweet.
However, from the bottom of her eyes, a glimpse of displease flashed by which revealed her empty words.
Qian DuoDuo was a police officer so she was most able to catch a personâs attitude based on a personâs slight emotions.
This type of tricks performed by the Empress could not escape Qian DuoDuoâs eyes at all.
However, she still remained calm and collected. On the other hand, she followed along with the Empressâs intention of pulling her to her side, becoming more energetic.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âThe Empress is right. When I see you, I think that you are familiar too.â Qian DuoDuo stood up from her seat, running in small steps to the Empress. However, the attention of her eyes was on the two golden dangling ornaments on her hair.
Heheâ¦Such a great gem ah. How familiar.
The Empress was such a wise person and already had people tell her about Qian DuoDuo who loved money. Most likely, she placed her eyes on something of hers.
She slightly smiled. Calmly and composing, she took off a pair of dangling ornaments from her hair and personally placed them on Qian DuoDuoâs head: âThird WangFei, this is the first time that I met you and I havenât prepared any gifts for you. This pair of dangling ornaments was paid as tribute to Nan Yi Country. I will gift them to you now!â
âHow could I have the nerve to do soâ¦â
Although Qian DuoDuo said this with her mouth, she was not in the very least embarrassed to do so.
The eyes tried her best, looking upwards. Too bad ah. She doesnât have dead fish eyes otherwise she would be able to see if the dangling ornaments on her head were good-looking or not!
âThis is just a little gift from me. The third WangFei just needs to accept this then itâs good.â The Empress patiently explained.
Qian DuoDuo pretended to be in a difficult situation for a couple of seconds before she accepted her gift.
However, in the next second, she picked off the green jade hairpin off from her head, delivering it to the Empressâs hand. She stated in a polite way: âEmpress, I donât have anything good to gift you. This hairpin was when I got married that my mother personally gifted this to me. Now, I will gift it to the Empress.â
The Empress took the hairpin over and she scrunched her eyebrows.
It was quite beautiful but the quality of the hairpin wasnât some top notch good. Even the maids by her side might not even be interested in this.
Itâs just that the Empress still placed it on her head, with a smile on. An unremarkable jade stone and a head filled with jewels, when comparing the two, held an inharmonious feeling.
With the way the situation progressed, she waved her hand motioning for all the maids/servants within the hall to all leave. Only her confidant, Guang Feng, stayed.
