"Be sure to Taste your words before you spit them out."

"Mom! I'm leaving for school!" I shout upstairs to my mum who was currently cleaning whatever she could find. I could hear her footsteps clearing the hall as she danced around while cleaning.
"Okay! Have a good day, I love you!" She yells back down at me as I open the front door and walk outside. I inhale a huge breathe as the cold air hits me, sending goosebumps up and down my spine. I watch as when I breathe out, a large puff of smoke appears.
It was almost officially Winter.
I began to walk to the sidewalk beside my house, stopping when a gust of wind nearly knocks me over and causes my red scarf to go flying. It is caught in the breeze for a split second before gently falling back to the ground. I close my eyes, relieved it didn't land in the forest.
With perfect timing, black hoodie guy happens to be leaving his house at the exact same moment this happens. He pauses to look at me for a split second, before getting into the car which his parents must've been waiting in beforehand.
They back out of their drive and turn to go down the street towards my high school which happened to be the only one in the small town. I panic as the blue car speeds up for only a second before halting beside me.
"Would you like a ride Cecelia?" Aidon asks, rolling down his window and flashing me a bright friendly smile. I couldn't help but return it.
"Umm." I panic, trying to think of an excuse so I wouldn't get in the same car as black hoodie guy.
"Em and Amy, they're...waiting on me. We walk together to school." I smile at the family in front of me. I didn't want to invade their private space, after all they'd only been here a few days. They definitely didn't need me invading their private life.
"Ah I see, we'll see you later then." Rose waves as her husband drives the blue car forward.
As they reach about a metre in front of me they beep the horn and I wave and smile, Amy also happened to be walking towards me with a curious grin and we both reached Em's door at the same time.
"Tell me everything." She laughs at me.

"Hey, you never responded to me over the weekend," Aston speaks to me, curiosity in his tone and a mischievous look in his eye. He had met me outside of my class and together we were walking for our lunch that we missed last week.
"Yeah, sorry I was busy." I apologise, feeling bad that I'd forgotten about my boyfriend over the weekend. I honestly didn't really do much, which made me feel even worse for lying.
Friday and Saturday I spent with Em and Amy, the two of them just going over plans for the party that was coming up. They gave me small details, but overall wanted it to be a surprise.
Everyone was invited, the whole school was expected to turn up. But then it was a small town in the middle of the woods - so there was only a couple hundred of us. That's why the wolfs scared me so much, they lived in the woods that surrounded the entire town. We were trapped in a fortress of trees.
As I said...Darkfall was weird.
"You know, a relationship doesn't work if people don't talk." He says, letting go of my hand.
I uninstalled pull my hand into a fist, trying to hide my frustration and hurt. I deserved this, he had every right to be angry.
"Yeah I know, I'm sorry I've just been so unfocused lately." I explain to him,"I don't know what it is, I just can't focus on anything."
I instantly knew I was lying to myself, there was only one thing I was focussed on.
I look upwards as we enter the Dining hall and immediately I catch eyes with Hunter. My eyes seeming to know exactly where he was without trying. Every part of my body wanted me to be near him, his presence was calling on me. His eyes taunting me.
He was standing against a wall with his arms and legs crossed, glaring at me and Ashton.
"Who's that?" He asks motioning his head at the new guy.
I, I have no idea." I lie again, not wanting to upset my boyfriend with the fact that I'd already met his family and been in his house. More than I'd done with Ashton.
He takes his hand in mine once again, almost protectively as he walks me to the table where his friends were sitting. It really wasn't fun for me.
Being stuck at a table full of horny, sweaty boys? Not ideal.
"You dudes seen the new tramp?" One of the hunky jocks speaks, shoving an entire cheeseburger into his mouth as I'm forced to hold my tongue. I'm pretty sure his name was Chris but then even though it was a small school. I didn't really speak to anyone other than my boyfriend and my best friends.
"He's in my athletics class dude, he's the fastest person I've ever seen, bruh." Another says and I snicker slightly at how terrible his speaking skills were.
I look over at Hunter, and found that he was still looking at me. His ice cold blue eyes glaring into mine. Goosebumps began to appear over my arms as a result, I was lucky I was wearing a jumper today.
Hunter was taunting me to come over with his glare and I really wanted to resist. But I was never one to go down without a fight. He was taunting the wrong type of girl.
Giving in to the urge inside me, I get up and began to walk over to him. A deathly glare in my eye. I was sick and tired of him looking at me as if I was death itself.
"Ce? Where are you going?" My boyfriend questions me, confused at my sudden departure from the table. I didn't answer. Instead, I walk straight up to a strange boy who happened to be wearing a black hoodie, and flash him a sarcastic smile.
"Hi!" I speak, over-friendly to my new neighbor with an extreme level of sarcasm. He hadn't changed his posture the entire time, and he barely acknowledged me.
"Want to explain why you keep staring at me?" I ask, placing my hands on my hips. He just looks at me, glaring with his ice cold eyes and spoke a few simple but hurtful words.
"Don't talk to me."
"Excuse me, what?" I ask him, confused at his strange words. He wanted a fight, that's why I was over here talking to him.
"What part of that are you struggling to understand?" He spits, standing up properly to show his entire height. Suddenly I felt like the smallest person in the room, and I was naturally tall.
Em and Amy quickly made their way over beside me as we started to grab attention from other teens in the room.
"Come on, let's go. We can't have you killing the new boy on his first day." Em sighs, making her way over and grabbing my arm, I didn't have a chance to confront him further as Em dragged me away.
"Fine." Was all I could mumble, giving him a dirty look as I walk away. He returned it equally.
I was taken back to the girls table, where my now enraged boyfriend walks over to me. Obviously having seen what had just happened.
"What was that all about?" He asks, sitting down at my table after the small drama had ended. He looks nervous and not a single part of him looks happy.
"I just wanted to put him in his place..."I sigh, ashamed at myself for hurting Ash, I'd forgotten about him lately. Which put me in the wrong, I was the problem in this relationship not him.
He had a right to be angry.
"Baby, you're too fiery for your own good." He smiles, leaning over the table and kissing me on my cheek before standing up again.
"Wh-where are you going?" I ask my boyfriend, worried at how calm he was being around me. Usually Ash was the type of guy who would've dumped someone over something like this. It's who he was. He liked remaining dominant.
"Just to talk out some problems." He says with his back to me, motioning his head to the door at Hunter whom clearly got the message.
Both Boys head towards outside the Cafeteria, and I began to panic. Immediately, I get up to follow them, Em quickly behind but Amy didn't like fights. They made her uneasy and sick.
I push open the door and found boys beginning to get in each other's faces. Ash didn't really stand a chance because he was 5"10, the exact same height as me but Hunter was built, and roughly 6"3 if not bigger.
My boyfriend playing the hero that he was, obviously didn't pick up on this. It was a one-sided match, he didn't stand a chance. And the only reason he was in it was to defend me.
"How dare you speak to my girlfriend the way you did!" Ash shouts at the new boy.
"How dare you let her speak to me." Black hoodie-guy speaks calmly, knowing there was no competition between them. He actually looked as if he was enjoying it from the small smirk on his lips.
"You cheeky little arse." Ash spat at him, getting as close as he possibly could to Hunters face. Of course, he was a fair bit smaller, but at least he tried. He gets brownie points for that.
Hunter then pushes him backwards, with the biggest amount of force a person could do. Causing my boyfriend to go flying backwards into the lockers behind him.
Hunter barely seemed dazed at all, and looked as though he couldn't care less. This meant nothing to him.
Ash however, was looking to kill.
He stands up and immediately goes for Hunter, swinging fists around, and trying in any way to inflict pain on the boy.
Nothing.
Hunter dodges them all, still not even breaking a sweat. Even going as far as laughing at one point which only enrages Ashton more.
Ash still kept going, throwing a punch at Hunters face.
It couldn't have backfired anymore than it did.
Hunter caught his fist, mid air with his hand.
Cheese on mother-fudging ice cream. Ash looked scared for the first time, and I'd never seen the fear in his eyes as he realized what was about to happen.
Then came Hunters fist other fist. Hitting my boyfriend directly in the face. He falls backwards into the lockers but doesn't get up, he'd lost all consciousness and was passed out on the floor.
Hunter had knocked him completely out with one hit. And he didn't even seem to care, for when I look up at him he smiles and begins to walk away.
I run to my boyfriends side, and notice that Em had ran off after Hunter whom had seemed to vanish all of a sudden. My unconscious boyfriends friends all made their way over and were pissed at the sight in front of them.
Some wanted revenge, whereas other planned on jumping him and taking him out. Others were too scared to even go near him, but one thing was certain.
Ash was the Alpha male of the school, the big kid that no one picked on. But now, he'd been kicked off of his throne.
And black hoodie guy had taken his place.
Next chapter will be the party and Cece's 17th which many people know is special.
It will be split into two since it's so long and I promise this is when it all starts to get werewolf-like.
