"If Cinderella's shoe fit perfectly, why did it fall off?"
âââââââââââââ
I walk forward, my hand in Hunters
towards the remaining elders of the government. I feel strength, and I feel courage. The long lilac dress that was fitted to my body, hugs my small curves tightly, flowing out at the bottom.
We stop walking as we reach a panel of elders, our hands still intertwined as they face us.
"I demand a single right." I shout as I look up at the older wolves. My power dominating over them.
"And what, Princess, is it that you demand." The oldest wolf asks, still sitting in a large stand with the other elders. I narrow my eyes at them as I can feel them shaking at my feet, I'm no longer just Cecelia, nor even Cecilinda.
I'm both.
"I demand the right to marry my mate." I tilt my head upwards as I stand confidently before him at him. Taunting him to say no as my free hand is closed tightly into a ball.
He knows I could easily murder all of them, I took down more wolves a thousand year ago by myself. But no more blood needs to be spilled, many of them still look at me like a ghost.
He turns to the other elders and whispers so quietly that no even I can hear. He turns to me once again, his eyes dark.
"Cecelia-" he begins but I cut him off.
"That's Cecilinda to you." I narrow my eyes and make sure my voice is deep. Another elder stands forward with a questionable look, and I answer the question before he even asks it.
"I'm back." I raise an eyebrow at them. "And I didn't die twice just to be denied by my own descendants." I sigh, beginning to walk away with Hunter. With or without their permission I was going to be with my mate, and I was going to rule my kingdom.
They couldn't stop me if they wanted to.
"Granted." The older elder whom I recognise as Marcelous almost whispers as we continue to walk out of the large room. I try to contain my happiness as we both stop in our tracks, gently, Hunter squeezes my hand as he gives me a smug smile.
As we reach the doors outside, Hunter throws me up into his arms and lowers me down slowly, lightly placing his lips on mine as his hands slither behind my back.
"No words on earth can describe how much on earth I love you." He grins, his arms around mine.
"And now you'll get to be my wife." He smiles.
"Not only your wife." I grin as he looks at me strangely. "I'll going to be your Queen."

"Ma'am, do you need any assistance?" One of the young wolfs ask me as I sit in the bath, bubbles floating around me.
"No, I'll be okay Anna." I smile as she backs out of my large bathroom. I smile for the millionth time today as I take in the beautiful detail that has been put into the walls. It's fit for a Queen.
The stained golden in the walls swirl around me, small lively shades of green intertwine with it, acting like a vine which continues to grow towards the sun.
Deep down my heart aches for the friends that I had lost. My best friend Em, who I'd spent not one life with, but two.
Alec, who I'd barely gotten to know, the beauty coming from not only the inside, but the out.
Her father, Alpha Anaka, who put down his life for me, so that I could survive. The same man that promised my mate would be okay when I took my position as Queen. The same man that was only ever kind towards me.
I'm sad because they're gone, but they aren't forgotten. They're over at the other side, reunited with other family they have, waiting, until Jay has finally lived a happy long life in which he can die peacefully in his sleep, only to be reunited by the family that watched him survive.
I smile lightly, knowing that there will be a time where all of us will be at peace together, for all eternity.
I turn my head as there's a nervous tap at the door, I know exactly who it is as I carefully climb out of the bath, wrapping a pale pink towel around my wet body.
Taking a deep breathe as I open the door and face him.
We both stare into each other's eyes, knowing that we cannot fight it, not anymore.
I watch as his eyes wonder up and down my body, his hands sending goosebumps down my spine as he lightly touches my cheek, making me open my eyes.
He brings himself close, his lips touching my ear in the eerie silence. Quietly, he whispers as his eyes darken.
"You have five seconds, to say no and run." He taunts, deliberately brushing his lips against the side of my face. Two can play the game.
I walk towards him, my chin held high as I press myself against his muscular chest.
"Times up." I smirk, and immediately he wraps his arms around my waist pulling me close as he smashes his lips onto mine.
I begin lifting up his t-shirt, wrapping my fingers under and pulling it upwards as his lips makes contact with my neck, my towel becoming very close to falling off of my body.
My hands reach up to Hunters neck, pulling his lips down to mines in one quick motion, he tries to remain dominant, but he knows he very quickly loosing.
His hands sneak their way around my body, slowly and sneaking managing to remove the towel from around me without me noticing.
After that, he hoisted me up into his arms, and carried me over to my bed...

Everyone wears black. Not a single colour is in sight, not a single eye is dry.
We stand in a large field, with every single body laid together respectively, dressed in their best clothes with their wounds cleared.
Alec and her father lay together, their hands clenched as their bodies are positioned in the middle of the small crowd, having more recognition for the good deeds they did for our people.
Jay stands beside Hunter and I, a single tear falling down his face as he watches a single flame set alight the bodies of his family.
Ashes to Ashes.
I make my way over to him, throwing my arms around him as I hold him close, trying to comfort and ease his pain in any way that I can.
He stands limp, as he eyes stay on his father and his sister. Slowly, he brings his arms around as he lowers his head into my neck. I stand with him, and listen as he very quietly cries into my hair.
"I've got you," I whisper into his ear. "I've got you, and you'll never be alone again." My heart breaks, he'd lost so many people....
He silently nods as I turn to face Hunter, the pity for Jay on his face but also his jealousy. I can feel it through the mate bond, and never - has it been so strong.
"We'll get through." I gently smile, allowing the tears to run down my face. "Together."

"W-"where are we?" Hunter asks as I take him by the hand through the gardens.
"Somewhere sacred, somewhere only royal blood has walked on." I sigh, continuing forward as I walk through the invisibility barrier. Hunter clutches my hand tightly as I lead him through.
He gasps as he wraps his arms around me from behind - We are in my families sacred buried ground. I walk forward trough the soft grass until I reach what once was an empty plot. Waiting for me to buried beneath it.
Instead, stands a large white statue. Not of me, but instead Emmaline. We both look to each other and sigh, faintly smiling at how much it looks like her.
"I thought there wasn't a body?" Hunter asks, "I watched it with my own eyes." He holds me tight, scared I'll vanish into mid-air at some point.
"There wasn't." I sigh, turning to face him.
"But everyone in here died for a cause," I let a single tear fall down my face. "And Em died for the biggest cause of all."
"Saving you." Hunter finished, lightly placing his lips on my forehead.
"She deserves to be in here, family or not she was my sister." I remain strong. "And the only reason I haven't crumbled is because I know she watches over me, I know she is near and I know that she is with her family again." I look up at Hunter.
"Just like I was." I faintly smile.
"What do you mean?"Hunter asks as we sit on the grass. I sigh lightly and face him, flashing a short smile.
"Hunter, I was dead. Here or not I crossed onto the other side. I saw my family." I smile, I smile because even though we lost so many lives, I know that they'll be okay.
I know that I'll be okay.
Hunter wraps an arm around me as we walk out of the buried ground and back into the vibrant gardens. Sitting down on the grass.
Saorsa approaches us, having already been in the gardens prior to us. She runs and wraps her arms around me. I know she can't stay here for much longer. As soon as the alpha of the Batail Wolves knows we have her they could start a war.
I hold her tight, as one day I may never see her again. When I rule, I rule over the Northern-Moon pack, and every other pack across North America excluding the Batail Wolves and some smaller packs.
"Have you seen Jay?" I ask her, worried about his health. After his family died he continued to get worse. His body breaking down as he dealt with being alone, it was only up to him to fight whatever demons were torturing him in his head, you couldn't help someone that didn't want to be helped.
I couldn't reach out to him, he couldn't let me.
"Is Jay going to be alright?" Saorsa asks, sitting beside Hunter and I on a small patch of grass in front of the golden coloured Lake.
"I don't know." I answer honestly, running my fingers over her small BW marking. I dread when they demand their property back. And the fact that she's a girl, not an object disgusts me.
I've heard the rumours on how ruthless the alpha is. And will do anything to keep their pack safe, putting only their members first and foremost. Never risking their lives without a cause. I respected that, and I understood that they would rather follow their own laws and leader, but their rivalry was becoming a threat.
None of us had ever met him. None of us ever planned too. Jay told me that Xavier, Caleb and his sister made it back safe and sound.
But giving him the good news only served as a reminder that he had no family left.
As I sat with my head against Hunters shoulder with Saorsa leaning in my arms, I felt at peace. I had hope, that everything would finally be alright.
And as we sat in the quiet garden, enjoying nothing but the sound of the water running. I couldn't help but keep a small smile, as faintly I could see the outline of a body watching over us. Her long brown hair blowing gently in the breeze.
Before she vanished out of sight, I could the light whisper of her voice in my ear.
"Look after them..." She whispered, before vanishing again. Maybe it was my imagination, maybe I had spent to much time on the other side,
"I will..." I whispered under my breath, letting it flow into the wind as I sat with my family.
For what Jay had to know, was that family was who you chose, not who you were born with. Family was who you shared a heart with, a will to live with.
Jay didn't know it, but he would find a family someday.
He had too.
Well, that's us I guess. The final chapter of DarkFall *sighs*
But don't worry! The epilogue should be much cheerier than this chapter! I mean, we have Cece and Hunter back together!
