Someone lightly shakes me, ushering me to wake up. I feel both hands at either sides of my face as they gently stroke my cheek.
"Come back to me Ce, come back."
My eyes gently open as I breathe in and out, drastically filling my lungs with air like a sailor who has been deprived of oxygen. As I look forward I see a very happy Hunter, I immediately jump into his arms holding him tight as I shake, the fear of loosing him releasing from my body.
I look over and see Catori on the ground clutching her neck tightly as blood runs from it, she's laying in a crowd of bodies who's life she stole.
Hunter brings me to my feet, careful not to step on my dress. I look around, and there's still tons of fighting going on, except this time - we have more wolves.
"Jay." Hunter smiles, "he managed to go and get help, the Batail Alpha sent 100 wolves to help get the children back that apparently snuck out, and also to help take the kingdom back." He finishes, beginning to run with me to safety.
I'm tired, but everything is working and the gash that was on my stomach has healed, but I can't push away the feeling that it hasn't.
We run to a set of doors, passing by a large mirror which shows just how dead I look. My naturally tanned skin is now pale and my blue eyes have lost their shine.
As Hunter is about to drag me out the hall, I watch, as one of our wolfs injures one of the rogues, causing it to fall backwards, but as one of our wolfs prepares to kill it. It begins to whine, the life and colour draining out of its body.
It landed beside Catori, and she killed one of her own to save herself.
Three Batail Wolves run to take her down, one male and two females, instantly, the male is torn to shreads, and returns to his human form, soon followed by the other female who I assume is his mate. She collapses beside him, her purple hair falling around her face wildly as she screams, and the other female who has red hair, cries out as she is slashed across the face by one of the rogues.
Catori then begins to drain her soul.
I watch as her wounds begin to close up and she has her eyes set on me. I loosen Hunters grip on my arm and run towards her, jumping into the air with two legs - but landing on the ground with four.
I snarl at her as I look at my reflection for the first time. I'm completely white, my coat shines as the clean, white fur that covers my body acts like a shield to me.
I walk towards Catori, snarling and growling as I itch closer and closer. She also changes, and becomes a large black wolf , threatening to attack at any second. The girl with red hair manages to break free of Catori's grip, and runs.
Catori's attention turns to me, as she prepares to fight.
Firstly however, she sends three rogues to have a shot as she watches with her eyes glued to me. I notice that behind Hunter has also turned, but stands back as he knows I can handle myself.
Alek, Jay and my mom also run into the room that is still a battlefield. Alec ushers my mom behind her as they try to stay as far out of danger as possible.
I assume Em is still with the little girl, keeping her as safe as she can and as far away from the chaos as possible. A grey wolf attacks me, going for my leg as I quickly move out of the way, snarling at it as show my teeth.
Jumping at it with all energy I have as I aim for the neck, getting a rough grip with my teeth around its neck. It tries to shake me off, and I sink my teeth in harder as it whimpers. My heart breaks as I know the wolf doesn't have much of a choice.
I sink my teeth in harder, causing blood to pray from it's neck before I loosen my grip and climb off of it, panting as it stares at me with wide eyes and a panicked breath.
I don't kill it because it doesn't deserve to be killed, not all of us get to come back 1000 years after their death. Instead I leave it on the ground, knowing that it could be just another seventeen year old that never found a home.
I snarl at Catori, watching as she stares me down. The drool dripping out of her mouth as her pointed teeth clamp together in one tight snap.
I go to attack, and stop when I realise that I'm no longer alone. To my left stands Hunter, his dark brown wolf staring at me with his beautiful, big blue eyes.
To my right is Jay, whos pain shows brightly in his eyes. The pain of loosing a mate and a loved one. The brightness dulled from a life of hardship. His wolf is an ashy-grey, smaller then mines but slightly larger than Hunters.
The pain from shifting without a full-moon has taken a toll on him, exhausting him, yet he stand ready to fight to the death by my side.
Beside Jay stands his twin Alek, her small, light grey wolf fierce as she is ready to fight, looking over at me and bowing slightly. Em then runs in and grabs my mom as they both run out of the room to safety, the look on my moms face is heartbreaking as she realises this may be the last time she ever sees her daughter. The last time she ever sees me.
All four of us run into the large crowd of woods that have gathered, many of our own wolfs and backup from the Northern-Moon pack behind us as we lead the battle, ripping out the throats of many wolves as we battle our way to Catori who hides behind her army.
Jay howls our in pain as a wolf grabs him by the leg, I barge into it, causing it to loose its grip on Jay. Alec then jumps over me as lands on the huge wolf, sinking her teeth into its neck as blood sprays all over her.
Wolves are fighting everywhere. And I set my target on Catori, running towards her and jumping as I tackle her to ground, both of us quickly get up and continually bite and scratch each other beside the thrones as we battle, both trying to rip the others throat or heart of their body.
Catori sinks her teeth into my front leg, causing me to fall to the ground as I loose my balance, giving her the opportunity to sink her teeth into my neck, I scream out as she does, only to be saved my Hunter who lunges himself at her, knocking them both into a wall, Catori cuts him across the chest with her claws, causing him to fall down onto the ground, his large blue eyes shutting on me and his breathing seems to slow.
I watch as Jay is tackled and pinned to the ground, a wolf as large as him begins to bite into his neck as he screams out. His twin then turns and runs to the wolf, knocking it off of her brother, but instead, it grabs her by the neck and throws he into the cold floor of the large hall. She makes eye contact with her twin as the wolf claps tightly, causing Alek to stop moving as all life drains from her eyes.
She's dead. Alek's dead.
Jay goes insane and begins to rip the necks out of every wolf that dares to touch him. Mourning and avenging the loss of a loved one.
Catori is then shoved as another Ashy-grey wolf stands in front of me, tall and elegant. It turns around and looks at me as it protects me. Instantly, I recognise the eyes.
Because they're the exact same as both of his children, Jay and Alex...
Alpha Anaka stands over me, growling at Catori as she almost seems to laugh at him, before running and entering a claw into his chest. He doesn't hesitate to run towards her once again, scratching her across the face through one of her eyes.
She howls out in pain before looking up at him, his fate sealed. As she runs towards him, her jaw wide as it connects with his neck. She threatens to clamp it shut, making me watch as she murders him right before my eyes.
Jay runs towards his father, hoping to prevent what we all know is about to happen.
She clamps her jaw shut tightly. And tosses Alpha Anaka's lifeless body into a wall. Jay freezes, his eyes wide as his last remaining family member dies before him.
Jay rushes over to his fathers body as Catori nears me as I change back, my body too weak to stay in wolf form. Catori also changes, walking towards me and my wedding dress which is now red from top to bottom in blood.
She grabs my wrist? Smirking as she does so, her hands warming up against my skin as she attempts to steal all energy I have left.
I fight her, knowing that there's too many people relying on me for survival.
Instead, I warm my hands and stare at her darkly as I feel every inch of my body warming with heat. She looks at me shocked, and attempts to let go on my arm, but can't as my nails are sighed in so hard I'm drawing blood.
"W-what are you doing?!" She shrieks as I begin I give her my energy. My eyes turning red as I begin screaming along with Catori.
She looks upwards as she begins to turn completely red. Screaming out in pain as she realises she cannot contain it all.
The next second, she explodes in a flash of red light. She's gone, all that remains are the scorch marks on the ground.
It's over.
I crawl over to Hunter who lies unconscious on the ground, dying in front of me. I cry as Jay hovers over the bodies of his family.
It's over. It's finally over.
I cry as I lightly place my hand on Hunters face, refusing to look at the gash on his chest. I cry as say goodbye to my mom in my head, wishing I could tell her that I loved her one last time.
Gently, I breathe heavily as I give Hunter all the energy I have. No caring that I will die. He's all that I care about.
I cry as I place a soft kiss on his lips, knowing that deep down I remember everything about him.
I remember the first time I laid eyes on him through my window, the first time that he kissed me, I cry harder as I say goodbye. Hoping that deep down he can hear me as I close my eyes.
Only hearing the sounds of Ems screams as I collapse to the floor. Everything turning extremely silent for one last time.
Well, Catori is finally gone.
