âImpossible!â Mrs. Fowler stared at Yolanda Summers with a grim expression, speaking with conviction, âMy son wouldnât lie to me! He told me himself that you called him, asking him to meet up!â
Yolanda Summers took out her mobile phone to show Mrs. Fowler, âMrs. Fowler, I really havenât called Sheldon Fowler recently!â
However, Mrs. Fowler did not even look, âCall logs can be deleted! Miss Summers, just be honest, where exactly did you coax my Kai Kai off to?!â
Dylan Summersâs gaze fell between the two, containing repressed anger. His hands balled into fists, and he was filled with confusion, unable to discern who was telling the truth.

Sheldon Fowlerâs voice stopped abruptly, followed by the kidnapperâs voice: âHave 1.5 million ready within three days! No police, or else be prepared to collect your sonâs corpse!â
The call was forcibly hung up by the other party.
Mrs. Fowlerâs complexion had turned utterly pale!
She stood there rooted to the spot, frozen!
Guests nearby showed shock on their faces, looking at each other in disbelief, while those further away, having not heard clearly, were confused.

ââ¦Seems like the kidnappers made the call?â

Yolanda Summersâs face showed panic, but she calmed down inside, feeling that things were unfolding just as Purple Summers had predicted.
Sheldon Fowler needed money urgently, and even if Yolanda Summers didnât take the bait, even if the kidnappers lost contact, Sheldon Fowler wouldnât simply abandon his plan!
