Purple Summersâs words, like a stone cast into a lake, provoked huge waves.
Everyone showed a look of astonishment: the witness was lying!
This lie was clearly to cover for Leon Brown! Now Purple Summers had pierced through the lie, and Leon Brownâs face flushed with shame and anger, he clenched his teeth and glared fiercely at Katarina Clark on the witness stand!
The more you talk, the more mistakes you make! This fool, thinking herself clever, had said so much, yet Purple Summers had seized the handle!
Sister Katherineâs smile stiffened on her lips, with cold sweat streaming down her forehead, her complexion extremely unsightly.

âYou canât answer, can you?â Purple Summersâs eyes shimmered, slightly narrowed, as though a cold sharp light flashed, âBecause Charlotte Bishopâs bank statement for the entire July shows that only that one week had no income. The claim you made about unpaid service fees, it simply doesnât exist! Thatâs why you canât answer!
On the thirtieth of July, Charlotte Bishop was servicing another client! She did not provide any services with Lindsay Carpenter, and those 900 dollars were the fee paid by the other client!â
âObjection!â Mr. Johnson hastily stood up, âI object to the opposing lawyerâs interference with the witnessâs objective and truthful statement!â
The female judge swept a cold glance and stated, âObjection overruled.â
Purple Summers spoke, âYour Honor, considering the privacy and sensitivity of the evidence to be presented by our side next, we request that the courtroomâs doors and windows be closed off and unrelated persons be isolated.â
The judge subconsciously glanced at Marcel Jefferson, only to see him staring eagerly at Purple Summers, completely deferential to her lead.

With suspicion in her heart, the female judge still granted Purple Summersâs request and had the bailiff close the doors and windows tightly.
Marcel Jefferson and another paralegal distributed the prepared injury reports to the jury members and the judge.
What came into view were shocking pictures of injuries. The wounds on the womanâs body were exposed, with both fresh blood oozing and dark sooty burns, badly swollen and festering, tormented to the point of having not a single patch of unmarred skin!
Looking at them was painful at a mere glance!
Quite a few members of the jury showed discomfort on their faces.
Purple Summersâs voice was cold and measured as she spoke, âThe intimate areas show lacerations from razors, cigarette burns, and additionally, there are multiple contusions and cigarette burns on her chest, buttocks, and thighs!â

âLeon Brown abused, humiliated her, bound her and inflicted cuts and burns with cigarettes. How could any normal person willingly accept such torture?!
You say the scale is large, the payment high, yet after receiving 900 dollars, she had to rest for at least two or three months! During this period she could not work, had no income whatsoever! If Lindsay Carpenter had not been deceived by you, who would be willing to engage in such a losing proposition?!â
Purple Summers showed the medical expense breakdown to everyone, raising her voice, âThe 900 dollars she was paid, all went to medical expenses! Suffering from sickness and pain, and enduring two months without income, if she hadnât been coerced, how could my client have endured this?!â
Mr. Johnson couldnât stand it any longer and loudly retorted, âSince she was willing to provide high-level service, she consented to the associated risks! Taking money and then backing out, where does such reasoning exist in this world?!â
Purple Summers countered, âWhen a man and a woman enter into marriage, they also tacitly consent to fulfill marital duties! But if the wife disagrees and the husband forcibly violates her, it is still considered, rape!â
