Purple Summers felt that Alexander Summers was being unreasonable.
Every time he visited the hospital, he bought dragon fruit.
Even though the first time he didnât let her eat the dragon fruit but gave it to May Francis, the second time he made sure she ate it, and now it was the third timeâ¦
Purpleâs face blatantly displayed her disgust.
She thought, âDoesnât he love me very much? Why doesnât he know I hate dragon fruit!â
Perhaps her disdainful look was too intense; Alexander was slightly embarrassed and put the fruit on the table, saying, âIf you donât want to eat it, just look at it.â
Obviously, he couldnât admit that he bought it to test herâ¦
Atra Blanc also felt that Alexander was too careless and gave him a reproachful glance before going to buy something to eat for her daughter. She was in such a hurry that she forgot that by leaving, she was clearly giving the two of them another chance to be alone.
However, the siblings hadnât really seen each other much recently and didnât seem too affectionate anymore. Besides, they were in a hospital with doctors and nurses coming and going, so it should be alright, right?
Alexander did indeed show restraint, but not because he turned over a new leaf; it was out of consideration for Purpleâs well-being that he didnât bother her.
He pulled up a chair and sat down in front of the hospital bed, asking Purple what had been going on with her lately.
Ever since Purple began studying day and night, Alexander found it difficult to see her at all and was unclear about the recent issues with her health.
âMaybe Iâm just too tired; Iâm not sure,â Purple sighed, deeply feeling the regret that her grand ambitions were being held back by her body.
âDo you think I should see an old traditional medicine doctor for some conditioning?â Purple said gloomily. âI feel fine outside, but as soon as I get home, I start to feel awful, drowsy and sick.â
Alexanderâs gaze flickered, âIs that soâ¦â
Atra was quick to buy fruit and returned to the ward. Just as she put down the fruit, Alexander stood up to leave.
âEh? You just got hereâ¦â Atra stammered, while Alexander strode out the door, already gone.
Atra gazed blankly at the door, feeling inexplicably disappointed.
Her feelings were certainly contradictory. She was alarmed when her son was close to her daughter, yet she felt somewhat unhappy when he was indifferent towards herâ¦

Once Alexander got into the car, Zack Wallace asked with concern, âMs. Summers is alright, isnât she?â
Alexander didnât answer, his brow furrowed, sitting in the car with a gloomy face as if pondering something.
Zack dared not ask more, just obediently waiting in the front.
After a while, Alexander suddenly said, âLetâs make a trip to Hunter Dalton.â
Zack was shocked, his first thought being that something must be wrong with Purpleâs spirit!
Otherwise, why would they suddenly go to see that charlatan Hunter Dalton?
Seeing Alexanderâs grim expression, Zack knew it wasnât the time to ask detailed questions, so he quickly started the car and headed towards Hunterâs office.
The Equinox Geomancy and Numerology Company, owned by Hunter, was where Zack went for the first time.
Usually, they would just call the person over, but this time Alexander was apparently in such a hurry that he went directly to him.
The company was located in the business district of the city center, very upscale. At first glance, it looked like any ordinary white-collar office, but it was more carefully decorated, displaying many antiques and crystals. At the entrance, there was a shrine to the Three Pure Ones.
Alexander was invited into the VIP room by Hunter himself for a personal meeting.
Zack waited outside, bored, occasionally scanning the surroundings.
In a nearby office sat many employees, each with a computer in front of them. One of the young white-collar workers was showing a customer her palm through a video call.
He said, âMiss, this peach blossom evil spirit is very fierce. You must block it with talisman paper, otherwise it could affect your future prospects in love.â
When the customer inquired about the price of the talisman paper, the white-collar worker immediately began to describe the different prices and effects.
His tone was almost identical to Hunterâs.
Zack felt like he had fallen into a den of pyramid schemers, which was terrifying.
But then, remembering the coin that had taken a bullet for him last time⦠he was somewhat tempted again.
Should he buy some more evil-repelling items?
