Purple Summers didnât stay in the end.
She couldnât stay out all night without an explanation for Atra Blanc, and besides, Alexander Summers was too shameless. If she had to stay with him day and night, she always felt that he would take too much advantage of her.
So Purple left decisively and firmly.
When she was leaving, Alexander said, âPurple, I really wish you would get hurt for me just once.â
It was clearly a frivolous flirtation, but he managed to say it with some genuine sentiment, tinged with a sense of loss.
Purple cursed at him, âPervert.â
âWhat can I do?â Alexander said with a smile, âI canât change. Looks like I can only trouble Purple to be perverted along with me.â
Purple stormed home, fuming.
â¦Ultimately, she couldnât actually leave him be, and the next day, she packed a few sets of Alexanderâs clean clothes and went to see him again.
When Atra Blanc asked, she said her brotherâs company was busy lately, and she was going over to help while also bringing some clean clothes to change into.
Yet whenever Purple arrived, Alexanderâs recovery room would be empty. Drawing water, cleaning, feeding him, and giving him his medicineâshe did it all by herself.
But Alexander was always up to no good.
She would often get so angry that sheâd stomp her foot and scold him, âYouâre not paralyzed! Why do I need to help you undress to use the toilet?!â
â¦
The two outside the door whispered, âThe lady is so formidableâ¦â
âYeah, if it had been someone else, they wouldnât know how many times theyâve died.â
âThatâs different, for others to scold is insubordination, but when the lady scolds, itâs affectionâ¦â
âRight, affection, thatâs exactly what it is!â
âWhat are you two up to?!â Mr. King suddenly appeared, staring at them seriously.
The two said with a smile, âWe were just⦠heard some serious quarrelling inside, worried that something might happen, so we were just concernedâ¦â
âArguing again?â Zack Wallace was astonished and nervously leaned in to listen.
The two by the door whispered, âMaster Xander once got shot, and without a doctor or medicine nearby, he dug out the bullet himself with a knife. He bandaged himself up and the next day acted as if nothing had happened, unlike this time, being bedridden for several daysâ¦â
Zack Wallace gave them a sharp glare, âNonsense! Now that thereâs someone who cares, can it be the same as before? Can it?!â
Bang!
The door suddenly swung open!
Purple, with a face full of anger, rushed out, coming face-to-face with Zack Wallace. She glanced at the bottles of medicine in his hand with residual fury and said hatefully, âYouâve deceived me, too!â
With that, she walked away without looking back.
Zack Wallace was completely confused.
Whatâs going on hereâ¦
Zack Wallace racked his brain but couldnât figure out how he had possibly deceived Purple.
He walked into the room with the medicine, to find Alexander Summers standing by the bed, casually dressing.
âMaster, whatâs wrong with Ms. Summers?â Zack Wallace cautiously asked.
Alexander glanced at him and said, âIf you are going to pretend, at least do it more carefully. She didnât finish the medicine from yesterday, and you brought another pile, how could she not suspect?â
Zack Wallace: ââ¦â
â¦But⦠but if we donât do this, how can we show the extent of Alexanderâs injuries?
âThis, this⦠How about I go apologize to Ms. Summers? Admit my mistake?â Zack Wallace asked.
âEnough, donât flatter yourself,â Alexander said.
Zack Wallace promptly said, âMaster is right, why would Ms. Summers care about us irrelevant people? Only the Master can coax Ms. Summers back.â
His flattery hit the spot, Alexanderâs lips slightly curled up, his mood was good.
He dressed and walked out, with Zack Wallace hurrying after him, âMaster, where are you going? Do you need a car ready? How many people should I arrange?â
âGoing home to recuperate,â Alexander said lazily, glancing at him, âI wonât be coming over these next few days, you continue to spread the news outside that Iâm about to die.â
