In an instant, Maria made up her mind. She tiptoed, lifted her head, and leaned toward his cold and stern face.

She lightly placed a kiss on his warm and thin lips. Then, she swiftly withdrew.

Not only did her flawless face blush, but her attractive ears also flushed.

Frank’s black eyes were profound and inscrutable.

He thought, ‘She actually kissed me. She’d kiss me so easily just for a keychain. That’s truly unexpected.‘

“I’ve already kissed you, so you can’t destroy them now!” Maria said, her heart was racing. She raised her flushed face, waiting for Frank’s response.

“What have I promised you?” Frank said. He suppressed the inexplicable surge of emotion in his eyes, his thin lips curling

into a sneer as he asked.

Maria spoke in an agitated manner due to anger. She said, “You clearly just…”

“Clearly what?” Frank said, lifting his eyebrows and curling his thin lips. His black eyes were inscrutable as he teased, “I asked you to kiss me, and you leaned forward to kiss me.”

Maria bit her lower lip, unable to refute.

Her heart sank little by little, her fingers clenching tighter and tighter.

She thought, ‘Frank indeed didn’t promise not to destroy them. It’s all because I misinterpreted things and created unnecessary feelings to believe what he said.“‘

Frank lowered his gaze and looked at Maria, who appeared like a dejected little animal. He inexplicably turned sympathetic.

In a deep voice, he slowly said, “Bring the other nine keychains here. All of them.”

Maria lifted her head in disbelief, thinking, ‘I didn’t mishear him, right? Frank no longer wants to destroy them?‘

“Maria, this is just a small lesson,” Frank said. “If you don’t behave next time, it won’t just be the things that attract you. Next time, you won’t be spared as well!” His deep voice poured into her ears.

Maria was stunned, thinking, ‘I never expected that the reason he wanted to destroy these was all because of me! He did it

on purpose!‘

At this moment, the voice of a saleswoman could be heard. She said, “Sir, these are all the keychains.”

Frank glanced sideways, released his grip on Maria’s shoulder, and coldly said, “Take them.”

He then strode away with his long legs, heading toward the door.

Maria took the bag handed by the saleswoman and nodded as she blushed. She then strode toward the door, following Frank’s pace.

As Maria passed Grace, Grace slightly moved, blocking her path.

Chapter 35

She locked eyes with Maria. Lowering her voice, she said coldly, “Maria, this Sunday is our class reunion. I initially wanted to inform you over the phone, but since I see you, I will tell you in advance,”

Maria was slightly startled, thinking, ‘Class reunion? Does that mean he’ll also be back? It’s been a while since we last met.’

Maria raised her gaze and indifferently responded, “Okay. I’ll be there.”

Grace curled her red lips and looked past Maria, her gaze fixed on the tall and erect figure that had already left the doll

store.

“It’s also fine to bring friends,” Grace said. “You can bring this gentleman along.”

Seeing Frank turn around and look at her, Maria did not dare to delay any longer. She said, “Let’s talk about it later.”

Maria sidestepped Grace, opened the door, and hurried to catch up with Frank’s pace.

Grace stood inside the doll store, staring coldly at Maria’s departing figure and curling her crimson lips to let out a sneer.

She thought, ‘I was afraid that Maria wouldn’t want to come. Since she dares to attend the class reunion, I must prepare well. I have to make Maria “return feeling satisfied“.

At this moment, Maria was completely unaware of how this classmate of hers would spread rumors and create trouble to slander and frame her at the class reunion.

She merely followed Frank’s pace and entered a high–end women’s clothing brand store.

Frank walked with his slender legs. With one hand in his pocket, he leisurely walked around the store. After completing a full circle, he lifted his slender finger, pointed at a bright red dress, and said expressionlessly, “Go and change into that.”
