The lively atmosphere froze when Mo Zheng said that. Jiang Yao was very worried about her son. They had used all kind of methods to stabilize Mo Zhengâs emotions, telling him that the issues with his legs could be cured but Mo Zheng couldnât get over that mental hurdle and it exacerbated his physical condition. Jiang Yaoâs heart shook with pain.
Seeing this, Qiao Qing ran to the fridge and took out a piece of jelly. âBrother Zheng, you should have a bite of this! The jelly doesnât have much of a taste, it should help suppress the nausea brought on by seaweed. Mo Li hasnât been home for too long, she isnât familiar with Brother Zhengâs physical condition. She doesnât know that Brother Zheng could only eat these light food or else you would throw up⦠I made these jellies myself so theyâre definitely hygienic.â
Mo Zheng smiled gratefully as Qiao Qing handed him the jelly. If not for Qiao Qing, he would starve to death already.
âThese things are cold and they lack nutrition. Olâ Three, you better try to eat some real food!â Mo Yun frowned when he saw Qiao Qing hand Olâ Three the jellies. He knew that eating these cold things on empty stomach would not be good on the digestive system. Finally Mo Li had made something that Olâ Three could have a few bites off but Qiao Qing immediately swooped in to try to make Olâ Three continue to survive on her jellies.
Furthermore, Mo Yun heard the double-meaning in Qiao Qingâs words. She sounded like she cared about Olâ Three but at the same time, she was accusing Mo Li of not caring about Mo Zheng.
When Mo Yun said that, Qiao Qing quickly shrunk her hands back. Her jellies dropped into Mo Zhengâs soup bowl.
âBrother!â Mo Zheng saw Qiao Qingâs eyes start to mist and he turned angrily to Mo Yun.
Qiao Qing realized that of all the members of the Mo Family, Mo Yun seemed to be the most hostile towards her. Every time he looked at her, it was like he could see through her every lie.
âItâs okay to eat some jellies but you have to balance it out with some noodles. You need to have enough protein in your body to face the impending surgery.â Mo Li who had been quiet suddenly spoke. Everyone latched onto the last sentence she said.
âLi Li, what did you just say? Surgery?â Jiang Yaoâs voice was shaking. âWho told you there was surgery for your third brotherâs leg? Was it Doctor Lu Xuan or someone you knew from Sacred Heart?!â
Mo Zheng looked at her with a look of anticipation in his eyes.
Mo Li turned to Mo Yi and Jiang Yao, âMother, father, didnât you say youâve found a famous doctor from overseas? Lu Xuan has promised to cooperate with them so with their help, third brother will be fine.â
So thatâs what she meantâ¦?Mo Zheng sighed.?At the end of the day, sheâs still a child, sheâs too naive. Mom and dad did say those things but I know they were just trying to comfort me. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Mo Yun looked at Mo Li with interest like he knew there was something up her sleeve.
â¦
When Mo Li was alone in her study, Mo Yun pushed open the door and walked in. âYou plan to personally perform the surgery on Olâ Three?â
Mo Li raised her head and looked at Mo Yun innocently, as if she did not know what he was talking about.
âWith your medical skills, I think itâs entirely possible.â
Mo Li looked at Mo Yun.?I wonder if heâs testing me.
âI donât care who you are but I will leave my little brother in your hands. As long as you donât harm my family, youâll always be my little sister.â Mo Yun spoke plainly. He felt that Mo Li had changed⦠It was like her soul had been swapped. Initially Mo Yun had some difficulty accepting that but if her sister had turned out for the better, wasnât that a good thing?
Surprised by Mo Yunâs astuteness, Mo Li smiled. âBig brother, I donât know what youâre talking about. I merely know that I canât waste away my life anymore and I plan to achieve many goals.â
Mo Yun sighed. If this âMo Liâ could help Olâ Three, heâd be very happy.
âBut are you really confident that you can cure Mo Zhengâs legs?â
Honestly, Mo Li wasnât sure either but she knew giving it a try was better than giving up.
âIf I say I am 80 percent confident, would you allow me to perform the surgery?â
Before Mo Yun could answer, Mo Li stood up and left the study.
