247 Wedding In Two Days (2)
After the meeting had finally ended for the time being, Roshan made his way down the stairs with a disturbed expression. Azazel and Levi accompanied him down the long stairs and they all looked engrossed in their discussion.
âShe wants the wedding in two days.â He told them, but unlike him who looked bothered about it, they saw no problem with that.
âSo? Shouldnât you be happy she wants it in two days?â Azazel questioned, taking a bite out the red apple in his grasp.
âThat is the problem,â he admitted, âI should be happy, but Iâm not.â He ran his finger through his hair, âI feel somethingâs off, I canât explain it but I donât have a good feeling about this.â
Roshan couldnât guess why heâs so uncomfortable with the feeling. His bond with Anna felt so distant, like she was Far Away from him, but he was with her this morning, and still the biting feeling didnât dissipate.
âDoes that explain why she didnât come for practice?â When Anna didnât show up, Levi was worried he might have upset her when he told her to stay away from something that wasnât her concern.
He felt really guilty after that, and was hoping to apologize when she shows up for practice. Unfortunately, she didnât, and he got really nervous that she might have taken it seriously.
âIs she upset about something, perhaps?â Levi pushed on a question, wanting to get an answer in case Anna had said something to him, but Roshan shook his head in response.
âWhy would she? Anna rarely gets upset.â He remarked, and Leviâs heart eased. So itâs possible she wasnât upset with him then, but why didnât she come for practice.
.....
âAzazelâ¦.â
âCanât help you today, Iâm busy.â He cut Roshan off before taking another bite of his apple. It was obvious his mind was barely in their conversation, and he equally looked disturbed about something, which was unusual for someone like him.
âAny problem?â Roshan folded his arms, âyou seem lost in your own cloud, explain.â
Azazel shrugged, âitâs nothing.â
âSpill it out.â
âIâm going to see Calista today.â He admitted, turning his attention to the two Demons who blinked in surprise. From their looks, they surely didnât expect heâd utter something like that.
âHey, itâs not what you think.â He eyed them with disgust, feeling ashamed of where their minds had drifted to, âsheâs helping me get the sword and I need little information from her regarding the dark forest.â He explained.
Leviâs eyes brightened at the news, âshe agreed?!â
âYeah.â He looked away, âthereâs a poem she said that was written about the dark forest. Iâm curious to hear what the poem says about the dark forest before knowing what step I should take next.â
âWow,â Roshan, who was clueless about everything, couldnât help but be surprised.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âPrincess Calista is so nice, sheâs helping you despite the fact you rejected her so coldly,â he gave Azazel a glare before looking away, âhmph! If I were her, I wouldnât help you out, instead, Iâll happily get married to the fiancee she has, I heard heâs a really nice man.â
Roshanâs brow rose in exclamation, and he turned to look at Azazel, wondering when all this happened and he was unaware of it.
âShut up, what do you know?â He shoved the apple he was eating into Leviâs mouth to silence him, and the young Demon coughed it out.
âHey! You just ate from that, I donât want to have your germs.â
âSaying it like you havenât already started developing one yourself!â
âYou.!!.â
Roshan rolled his eyes as he was stuck in the middle of two bantering siblings. Putting Azazel and Levi together was always a problem, because as long as theyâre together, an argument was bound to occur.
âYou wonât win an argument against Azazel,â Roshan patted Leviâs shoulder, âlet it slide, you have no germs.â
Azazel scoffed and removed Roshanâs hand from the ladâs shoulder, âtouch him and youâll be contacted, itâs called spreading viruses and I care for you to let you get infected.â
âArrgh!! Iâve had it with you!â Levi angrily dashed towards Azazel who moved out of the way, âdonât touch me you psychopath.â
âI swear Iâm going to_â he threatened as he chased Azazel down the stairs.
âThose two never learn.â Roshan shook his head, feeling helpless about their situation. It suddenly felt like the old times when they usually went out together. He was the focused one while Azazel can never be focused as long as Levi was around.
âOld memories are indeed precious.â Came the voice of Aunt Letitia as she stood beside Roshan, equally watching as Levi chased Azazel till they were out of sight.
âAunt.â
âDonât forget them.â She added, turning her attention to Roshan who sized her up with his gaze.
âWhen did you return?â
âAn hour ago.â She composed herself before letting out a deep breath. âDonât you think itâs time you let Gretta out of there. You havenât gone to see her once, and sheâs been crying and pleading for your forgiveness ever since.â
âIf youâre here to speak with me about Gretta, then forget it Aunt. I wonât be nice to anyone who tries to hurt Anna. If she rots in there or not, it really isnât my concern.â
âDonât say things like that, sheâs part of the family too.â Aunt Letitia cooly reprimanded him, âlet her out this once, and I promise Iâll keep her behavior in check from now on. Anna has already forgiven her, why canât you?â
âCause Iâm not Anna who has a forgiven heart, if sheâs really feeling bad about her actions, she has to prove it to me. Until then, I am not convinced.â
And he walked out. Aunt Letitia had more to say, but since Roshan had ended the conversation without giving what she said much thought, she couldnât say more to him and left the stairs as well.
Meanwhile, Anna was hiding in a narrow space between two walls. She remained there until Letitiaâs figure vanished from sight, and a small smile curved her lips.
âThe Valerian sword is in Euphrasia?â
